The Football Card Podcast #40: The Briggs Bandit, $31K Gronk, and Why You’ll Always Miss Cards

hello and welcome to the football card podcast this is it you made it it's friday and you are listening to the fastest growing longest running podcast in the entire world that's centered on football cards and most importantly football cards i'm your host john aka pac nicholson and with me as always is brett mister stacking slabs himself brett how are you doing i'm feeling validated by my appearance today backwards hat card ladder hoodie looks like you decided to wear wear the exact same thing shout out card ladder i'm in need of some new gear so chris christina josh let's let's let's get organized so i can just head to toe wear cardladder gear and maybe we have some different options so john and i don't look like the exact same person delivering this each and every week but seriously shout out cardladder they're awesome we use cardladder to just drive each of these episodes so we we feel very proud to work directly with them but other than that i'm well i just i mostly wanna talk about the story post you have put up when i wake up i do a quick check before i try to like get serious and get a workout in or do whatever i've got to do and i saw your story and so i just started hitting it and it was some information about the missing lance briggs gold prism card that we have talked about for several episodes so i'm just gonna pitch it to you what's going on man yes some some breakthroughs in the the briggs bandit case if those who maybe didn't listen to past episodes i in early february bought a twenty twenty five prism gold lance briggs card on ebay twenty five dollar card it showed up empty to my house just the package just fully box cutter open didn't really know what to do eventually gb gold ten a loyal listener of the pod and great card collector bought another copy and sent it to me just gifted me that so that was awesome so i was kinda like okay i got the briggs gold and that one you know i'll keep an eye out but i doubted i would ever see it again but i remember the serial number six out of ten so lo and behold last night i get a dm from someone saying is this the lance briggs card and a listing had just popped up lance briggs gold number six out of ten on ebay in minnesota so that's this is another because the case this is an active case this is an active and open case and we're recording this wednesday morning this breakthrough came tuesday night by the time this airs friday you know who knows where we're at but yeah because i'm i'm trying to track this card so i'm in indianapolis the original card was sold from new york it shows up empty so somewhere between the midwest and the east coast it disappears and it ends up in minnesota so i message the seller and i'm like hey just so you know this is a stolen card i'm not saying it's you but i bought this card february third like i had a screenshot just like where did you get the card it's what i asked and they said they got it on a whatnot stream i was just like of course like there's a dead end like you know like what can i do how do i get into the whatnot world is this person lying like what like i don't know what to do but i was like do you have any proof of that and he's like yeah i have a recording of the stream where i hid it and he wasn't able to send the video through ebay but he sent me a bunch of screenshots of the lance briggs card getting given away in this whatnot stream now i haven't like i don't know if whatnot has archives or as soon as we're done with this call i'm going full investigation even more but yeah this double a mint mint cards aa mint cards on their stream they gave away this lance briggs card and yeah i just have one simple question for them like where did they get the card it's all i need to know to continue to continue the hunt and i posted it on instagram or i i tagged them i was like where'd you get this card and they saw it they didn't respond and then i saw that they looked at all my previous stories so there they know that i'm on their on their tail so that's the current status of it is that's my last lead is this double a mint cards got the card and they're in florida that's another yeah that's another piece so somewhere in between new york and indianapolis it goes missing ends up in florida which makes me i don't think that they're just running this operation where they're stealing mail and selling it on whatnot i bet they got it from someone who dumped it off at a show or something but who knows how far this could go and where it'll take us but we're on we're on to you briggs bandit i if you're out there listening i just hope they're sweating a little bit i hope that all the parties involved now realize that they're messing with a couple collectors here who have the number one football card podcast in the world and we are going to continue to beat this drum until we find the briggs bandit and i'll even go further this has inspired and motivated me even further to find the son of a bitch who stole my jonathan taylor gold vinyl and i'm not gonna stop until i find out who that is and drag their face in the mud we gotta catch these bad guys and this is something else john that this has just illuminated for me there's gotta be something going on here and i'm not saying that it's this briggs card is a part of this but i think about all the fraud all the bad actors and i think about what necessarily doesn't get sucked up into platforms like cardladder and it is activity it shows it is the whatnot of it all and how much of this is going undetected because it doesn't hit ebay luckily in your case this did hit ebay but takes a couple steps in between so what's happening at with with the whatnot of it all like what's happening over there i mean there is there's just all these sales and these cards it's like it's like a whole another universe over there no one's tracking it unless you have a rare instance like this where you are being proactive in doing the work and seeking information so just maybe just good awareness for everyone but i'm i'm fired up and i'm excited to catch some bad guys oh yeah and yeah a a few thoughts that have come up during this whole thing first off the seller on ebay who was provided the screenshots when i first posted on the story because i was just doing this in real time i was up late last night and i was like oh this is funny i'm gonna post it to my story people were like oh he has a ninety seven feedback like coming at him i just wanna make sure it's clear that wasn't the thief and he even offered he was like give like i'm not into this card for anything if you give me your address i'll send it to you for free like he has offered to give me the card for free which i wanna know your like i think i just wanna offer to buy it for what i originally bought it for because i don't think he should be it's twenty five dollars i don't care about spending the money and like i don't know i feel see i feel bad that he would lose potential profit because he got scammed on whatnot so i don't know that's awfully generous i think especially if they want it on a stream i think the way you're thinking about it is probably how i would be thinking about it and just rebuy the card my my situation is complicated as well because you're you're trying to figure out who's responsible and that's a it's very very messy who pays what and yeah it's not fun it's not fun at all so i i honestly and just hearing your story the individual who bought it or want it on the whatnot break who then relisted it and who's actually not being a dick about it but being like oh this sucks and if this were me i'd i'd be trying to be helpful like that person's it's it's is the hero almost in this situation so given inform willing to give you the card so shout out to that person shout out that seller then yeah this this whatnot journey i'm about to go on because i'm about to go into it i'm like i gotta get in i gotta get into this underworld and then i'm like oh i would watch a movie that's basically like training day but whatnot like i need the the whatnot street smarts person to take me into that world show me the rope show me the corruption this is what happens there i need my alonzo harris to guide me into this journey denzel where you at okay so you're gonna have to go incognito and the first set of training for this training day will be to make sure you understand the proper lingo in that community so you're gonna have to get up to speed on the nukes and all of these words that these people are using prop up these cards so i don't know if there's a a course you can take online run by an influencer or what but that sounds like that might be worth your time hello fellow kids you see any nukes around here any lance briggs nukes that's another thing i feel bad for that kid winning a lance briggs twenty twenty five prism gold on a like he wins a giveaway he's like oh be a caleb card be a caleb card lance briggs gold like he doesn't want that card yeah but you do i do and now with all of this provenance behind it i need that serial i need the six out of ten serial number so i will get that from him but then one other like you kinda hit at it is have you seen john wick yes okay just you know he steals john wick's car kills his dog and his dad's like what have you done and he's like what i just stole the car it's like no big deal he's like it's not the car it's who you stole it from it's and i'm just picturing double a mint right now they're having that conversation of like it's a lance briggs card well it doesn't matter it's like no you stole it that was pac nicholson's lance briggs gold host of the football card pod during the off season when they're desperate for content like the worst possible time for this to happen if this was if the bears were playing a game on sunday probably wouldn't care i'd be too focused on the game but i've got time i've got time to find who stole this card and again it's a twenty five dollar card like does it really even matter like what the more the point to me is what we're doing with trading cards we're already kinda losers and so if you're a scammer or a stealer amongst the losers you're just the biggest double loser ever and you gotta get exposed you just gotta get exposed and then hopefully other people don't want to do this behavior so we will find the brince briggs bandit and we're coming for you yep they're a bunch of slobs just greasy slobs we're already losers you're the biggest loser and before we close this note out john this has just got me so inspired i wanna set a reminder here the twenty twenty five jonathan taylor gold vinyl that was stolen from me serial number is three what can obviously bounties work what what can i do to motivate our audit captive audience right now to help me find this like what what do you think is appropriate like how do i get this card this card is a an i i this is a card i need i need this card that's a different level of card the fact that this both happened similar crimes in a similar radius i mean we're not too far away from each other is there some sort of indianapolis card syndicate that's shipping these then to whatnot streams like the who knows how deep this whole thing goes but i think you just gotta beat the drum a little bit just remind people looking for the three out of five the serial number's huge mhmm shout out shout out panini or shout out skybox or whoever elite who started serial numbering because it it is now help helping us in more ways than one yeah i think you just gotta i don't know we don't it'll it'll show up that's the thing someone is gonna wanna cash out eventually it will surface on the internet eventually and then hopefully it hasn't transacted dozens and dozens of times so that there is some sort of trail to get you back like then as soon as the service is online you're gonna start exactly what i'm doing right now you're gonna but where'd you get it where'd you get it and eventually someone's not gonna have an answer like if double a mint cards is like like can't tell me where they got it then it's my mission to disparage them for the rest of time like i gotta drag double a mint cards for the rest of my hobby career i don't wanna do that just just tell me where you got it final note this is just let's let's find these bad guys i wanna just make this really clear i i try to be very nice on the internet online this is my livelihood i don't wanna burn bridges i wanna build relationships when you start to cross over and you start to step in my world with my stuff my family i am a very very tough person to deal with and i'm just i'm making that very clear to whoever has my card right now i will not stop this card i've already said i think i got a good deal on it i paid two seventy five if i found out where this card was i jump on planes i get in the car i would be relentless because you know why john it is my fucking card so i am your case has has reinvigorated me so i'm glad you're passionate about figuring this out because it's got me even more jacked up to find my card and what a better place to start a podcast right with a lot of energy a lot of motivation let's go episode forty we've hit the big forty big four o this is forty who would have thought who would thought you know twelve more we're coming up on a year we haven't it's been forty straight weeks so we've got so in twelve episodes we'll hit a year fifty two in sixteen we'll hit fifty six we'll break joe dimaggio's record of fifty six so we're we got some milestones coming up but episode forty would not be possible without our wonderful sponsors card ladder the only ones shout out card ladder the best in the world episode forty there's some good ones i'm excited some some good names and then i've got some i've got a good vintage guy to do a little deep dive on but i'm curious brett i'll start with you number forty who what players jumped out to you perhaps it has been all of the conversations around the sales and the momentum and the hobby but this was an immediate one for me and i i i gotta shout out pat tillman right out of the gate so pat tillman two hundred and twenty six pick of the cardinals with a signing bonus of twenty one thousand dollars so i think i had my memory a little confused on the production of pat tillman but pat tillman was a baller he was good he was good i i didn't realize he was as good as what i've i found so in his rookie year twenty two hundred and twenty six picks seventh rounder he started ten out of the sixteen games in two thousand sports illustrated writer paul zimmerman named tillman to his all pro team first team all pro dude tillman had a hundred and fifty five tackles one and a half sacks two forced fumbles two recoveries nine passes deflected which is unreal and an interception this was all in two thousand he played four seasons in may of two thousand and two eight months after nine eleven tillman turned down a contract offer from the cardinals of three point six million to enlist in the us army and just a heroic effort i think you just put that all up in a bottle and you can start to understand why pat tillman is so collectible and resonates with so many football card collectors he is in the cardinals ring of honor forty is retired in arizona so an american hero a hell of a football player aware of number forty i thought it would be interesting and we'll be covering a pat tillman sale on the other side of this but i just looked up tenth the filter i ran in card ladder was ten thousand dollars or excuse ten thousand dollars or more how many pat tillman sales are there and there are twenty two and wow yeah this is just the downtowns are they all downtowns everything they are all downtowns and so we've talked about this one on the pod but the highest public sale or which is actually a private sale but was posted on carliner is this the gold vinyl twenty twenty optic psa nine selling for thirty k yeah so tillman is collectible i know i think it's grand the owner of grand slam collectibles i saw a video and i mentioned this on the pod previously he's sitting on two of his finites and i think he was like i'm not taking a hundred k or less for any of these so it's just insane but tillman is in demand people like the patriotism so shout out pat tillman in his cards and i alluded to this but we'll be talking about another pat tillman sale before the end of this awesome shout out pat tillman for me forties there's a few first that jumped in my mind michael well gale sayers i gotta give respect to gale sayers hall of famer bears legend and i can talk touch on him in a second but mike alstott the a train what an awesome player fullback drafted thirty fifth overall can you imagine if a team drafted a fullback at thirty five in the nfl today like i feel like teams don't love when you draft a running back that early let alone a true fullback but all stout was awesome and the like won a super bowl with the bucks three time first team all pro three consecutive first team all pros i always love when that happens his highest selling card sixty six hundred dollars his ninety seven metal green pmg and a psa eight awesome card the buccaneers are in the like creamsicle jerseys in that photo and then yeah look at that how cool is that card i don't think i've i can ever remember seeing this before so this is awfully cool that is awesome and then but then i was scrolling through his sales and you'll see the downtown pandora black pandora start to pop up around which i it's insane twenty five hundred dollars for a raw black pandora mike allstott downtown for twenty five hundred dollars and then you scroll and like right below that same like two days before is his ninety seven rubies for seventeen hundred dollars like i'll just it's just the when i get into this whatnot exploration maybe i'll uncover who the hell is paying twenty five hundred dollars for a rob mike alstott twenty twenty five downtown out of twenty five when his rubies and i bet yeah here's a i guess that was twenty twenty four but twenty twenty three flawless shield auto one of one michael stott seventeen hundred dollars his ninety eight skybox credentials now out of seventeen sold for sixteen hundred dollars like some of his best cards ever and he's in all those legendary best sets are selling for less than his substantially less than his twenty twenty five optic downtown black pandora out of twenty five do you think mike alstott would here's the question if you went through these sales with alstott himself and you had to explain repacks like you think like how long would you need to spend with mike alstott to like get him to understand his sales do you think he would get it or would he just be like dude kid get out of here oh that's great content just like sitting down one on one with mike alstott in a room and it's like long will it take to fully explain what a repack is yeah i don't know if i could do it i think i i think he's i don't think i can because i don't think i can adequately explain it because i there's parts to me that don't make sense so i think i'd i think mike alstott would get mad at me while i'm trying to explain this to him yeah he'd probably wanna punch me in the face he'd be like i don't like what you're saying i don't like any of these words this jargon and he'd i'd be guilty by association of just trying to be like well you see if they buy the riz pack you can get this and the and he'd be like shut up let me get your feedback on a type of content because i have an observation as we go down this rather hole a little bit there's a lot of content in this space around individuals meeting said athlete and then they have their cards and i don't know man it always seems kinda awkward because it's always like hey you know how much this card is worth of yours and the individual's like no and so i'm like but it always starts there i'm like why why are we like the of course they have no idea like they don't collect cards so i don't know i was just you know like when ace i remember growing up when i was like watching full house and it was like a critical moment in full house where there was some awkwardness because like the cat was out of the bag on what dj did or whatever and or what stephanie or michelle did and it was like this awkward moment where he's like put your like face in a pillow you're like i can't watch this because it's so awkward that's how i feel every every time i watch one of those videos yeah that's not and it's always that like like appearance or like signing thing where it's you're not really they're just there to like sign a thing and keep it moving and now you're bombarding them with these card facts or like i i spent twenty thousand dollars on you it's like get out of here nerd like we're all nerds yeah we're all hundred percent i know like i host a football card podcast yeah there's no escaping it but shout out mike halstadt shout out gale sayers just hall of famer bears running back the kansas comment five time first team all pro five straight first team all pros that's pretty sick he has a very bold pro football reference just didn't play as long as jim brown but was on kinda jim brown trajectory his rookie year i think he had twenty two hundred all around all purpose yards and like twenty touchdown yeah twenty touchdowns in nineteen sixty five just kinda some insane numbers for the time we're looking at his nineteen sixty six philadelphia rookie i want that card i need that card that's a great looking card it's just so cool it's just so cool and yeah a little vintage football talk i will how about about the fact that there's no psa tens and for as big of a legend that gail sayers is and i know like there's not a ton of cards and you're fighting grading scarcity but man it's just wild to me that is his highest selling card of all time is fifty eight thousand dollars it just that this nugget right here just tells me that football cards is nowhere near where it it should be in the grand scheme of things i just it just that doesn't make any sense to me fifty eight k that's i that's a ton of money and i i can't afford that but just knowing what we know about sales and everything just fit gale sayers is one of the greatest players of all time and his highest selling car is fifty eight k it makes yeah makes makes a little little sense and just we've seen vintage make gigantic sales in like a high like a and this psa nine's what a pop thirty eight oh alright that's i thought it was gonna be like a pop three thirty eight is i do think a little high but this is only like rookie card i believe so yeah if if dude if a psa ten ever popped to this that's when that would go crazy yeah that that would be fun that's what it will take i mean we've touched on that of like the high grade baseball vintage having a lot of those big million dollar sales i think as football gains popularity in the hobby which it is if any of these legendary cards end up getting a ten and they hit auction i think we'll see some big numbers like the nagurski card or the you know whatever the other old vintage legendary cards are one other person elroy hirsch i was like who's elroy hirsch he definitely was a man of the forties fifties he's probably in forty eight bowman or one of these sets forty eight leaf and sure enough i guess he's a little later than that but he was a receiver for the rams first team all pro in nineteen fifty one so played in the late forties early fifties had the nickname crazy legs which is awesome i just the nickname our nickname game has gone down so far as a as a football loving country we need to step up our game and every card his legs are prominent features like we're looking at his fifty one bowman and you can see the bottom of his cleat how often are you seeing the bottom of a cleat on a football card they really leaned into the crazy legs moniker even if you look at his other like the fifty bowman his legs are like above his knees or above his waist in every every shot they really yeah are are leaning into the crazy legs got the name because he had an unusual running style where his legs twisted as he ran someone in nineteen forty two watching him play in college said his crazy legs were gyrating in six different directions all at the same time he looked like a demented duck so i went back and watched tape it didn't didn't look that crazy to me but anyways he ends up he has this similar story plays in like midwest schools wisconsin minnesota goes to the marines for a couple years comes back eventually lands on the rams and he's just known as like the first real deep threat in the nfl in nfl history and his he set he broke the record for receiving yards in a season in let's see nineteen fifty one he won the triple crown and these numbers are crazy in nineteen fifty one he had one thousand four hundred and ninety five yards and seventeen touchdowns in a twelve game season so he averaged a hundred and twenty four point six yards a game and of his seventeen touchdowns that year let me see like this is bad radio i'm sorry his average like yards per touchdown was fifty one point two yards like seventeen touchdowns the average length was fifty one yards and this is an era when like the previous receiving record was barely over a thousand i believe don hudson and then in nineteen fifty one when he set this receiving record mark it held for thirty three years so he had the longest reign as a receiving champion in the early eighties i forget wait no i i linked it i know i linked it yeah it was someone roy green don't know roy green in nineteen eighty four and then jerry rice in eighty six with fifteen seventy before jerry rice broke it again with eighteen forty eight in ninety five and then calvin in two thousand twelve nineteen sixty four which is the current record so yeah shout out elroy crazy legs hirsch when you i couldn't help but not think about crazy legs from don't be a menace dude i i this is a movie i watch so often he's got the little baby bottle of hennessy and he's got the forty just an amazing film if you have not seen don't be a menace you gotta check it out wow football card film club we gotta start training day don't be a menace john wake everyone has their assignments alright should we get into our drive for three and out i'd love to alright so i'm i'm thinking of it a little differently here because it's first and ten at the twenty nine we're driving and i'm gonna put it on you where what what play what kind of play should we open with like a first and ten at the twenty nine their twenty nine or our twenty nine their twenty nine you know i want to run i want to run i'm i wanna run a counter nice little counter mhmm alright easy play that comes from g t o wait g two o swede swedish listener shout out shout out sweden listening to the football card pod which qb class do you think will be better in five years twenty twenty or twenty twenty four why don't you why don't you start us off john i wanted i wanna be a homer and pick twenty twenty four and just say because in five years caleb williams will have several super bowl rings but i think i have to go twenty twenty burrow and herbert are just so good as like players and i know they've never won at all and herbert hasn't even been close but they're only twenty seven and twenty nine years old if like five years from now burrow has won two super bowls or herbert has won two super bowls like their narrative is totally diff like it's like manning trying to get over the hump he couldn't get over the hump eventually he does and it's all that goes away and now they're one of he's considered the one of the greatest ever so i just think there's them being so young and already having so many like numbers like stats already that they have plenty of time to still develop into like what matt stafford is today like who's to say thirty four year old justin herbert doesn't go to another team and then has this like renaissance you know and is like could diagnose any defense because by then he's a ten year veteran and yeah i just think they're they have like the raw talent already pending injuries but and they're just it's they have so much more experience right now than twenty twenty four so and you've got hertz in there he's won a couple super bowls so and two no two is not doesn't count but yeah what about you what were you thinking i tend to like this is a tough question but i tried to look back on other greatest quarterback classes and try to find commonality and i think you go the the three that came to my mind were eighty three with l elway marino and jim kelly o four eli phil big ben and i think even at to some extent twelve with locke wilson and kirk cousins probably not on the same tier as the other ones but not too far behind i think that in order to be kind of in these comparisons you have to have not just one but like a group of players and i think what's going for both of these classes is they both have like groups of players that could kinda be the three or maybe even the four i and this is hard because obviously one group has had more time to have sustained success than the others but i think we've had this conversation before around like cards and selecting our favorite cards based on player of these classes and groups of the last like four or five years and i went with twenty twenty so i'm gonna stick to it i i believe in all of the players even though he has been hurt i still think joe burrow is the the best player amongst all of the players if you put them all together so i think they they they have that going for him herbert sucks in the playoffs but statistically he's really freaking good so there's that you mentioned hertz hertz has been to two super bowls already won one that's something so yeah i i tend to lean towards twenty right now although twenty four i think what can can it's two seasons we're going in year three can can we say we're out on pennix and jj like they're not even in the conversation anymore i think so i mean vikings brought in kyler yeah it seems like i it's resigned carson wentz too right i i mean yeah i would be out on i feel like petnick's showed more than jj did but i i don't know just after seeing the darnold and danny dimes resurgences it's like who's to say that these guys don't eventually land somewhere and maybe figure it out but i i'm out on nine i've i've never liked jj so i i'm fully out on jj i'm undecided on panix that's my official statement okay there's enough there for us just to like let's put him aside so then we you've got and it's it's how i feel about two at two with the twenty class it's like you know he's not a part of this conversation to me he's just not there yeah so you've got the three you've got we're we're talking about burrow we're talking about herbert we're talking about hertz in twenty and then i think what's what's good for twenty four is you've got caleb you've got drake you've got nicks and you got jaden so you got four it's not like you're you're relying on just three guys like you could end up at three but you've got four choices so i think there's something there it's go it could be close but before it's all said and done but if you know i'm i i my north star on this is who's the best player and i think it's joe burrow so yeah i'm going with twenty for now yes i i'll i'll agree there but yeah i mean only two seasons so far for that twenty twenty four class to prove anything and jaden went to a conference championship game drake may went to a super bowl you know caleb it's a good question caleb made the playoffs like there's it's bo knicks could have went to a super bowl and like those four all all did really well so we'll see okay five yard game second and five from the twenty four we're gonna go with what do you what would you do here second and five another run play action spread it out deep shot i take a shot at the end zone right here okay here's the shot from alex bridgeforth in thirty years what football cards player sets from ninety six to twenty sixteen will be the most collected and valuable i dude i these these questions make my brain explode i i don't know i just i have no i i don't know i have no idea i can't project i don't know i've i all i can say is there's a lot of stuff in this group there's a lot of options if you're trying to project typically like the first of something is a good place to project that's all i can say about this yeah i put i don't know like everything everything changes even just seeing like how fast like things get popular and then not popular over the past like two years in the hobby i have seen some like big waves and cycles of things like just thinking thirty years from now it's gonna be some probably something that's never been seen before like or that we're not even paying attention to right now because everyone will be i don't know or it's just yeah i don't know i don't know incomplete pass we took a shot we didn't get it damn it third and five from the twenty four here's drake drake's pc big third down play what are we running here you think we gotta get it the ball to our best player right now it's just like shallow cross yeah something alright from drake's pc there's a common saying that the hobby is a marathon and not a sprint lately though it feels like a sprint to be able to acquire a rare or scarce card for my collection if i'm not at a show every weekend hitting refresh on ebay like i'm playing a slot machine checking social media constantly or willing to unload a brinks truck i feel like i'm missing out on cards i'd like to own as someone who has a personal and professional life outside the hobby but who also collects a player many deem investment worthy what advice do you have so that i don't feel like i'm always chasing or just missing out on cards i'm after i think drake just really gave himself the answer here drake you need to quit your professional life you need to quit your personal life and you need to go all in on the hobby if you're tired of missing stuff there's one answer dedicate your entire life to sports cards so that's that's what i think but yeah maybe on a more maybe on a more serious note i think this is an issue that is widespread throughout the hobby and i will say i fall victim to this as well but there is a moment in our collecting journey when we find clarity i have found and that is when you begin to accept you begin to accept the fact that you can't have everything you're not treating this thing like a competition where you're pissed off because you missed cards like that is outside of your control and i think when you can begin to accept the fact that you can't have everything or have a shot at everything just because you collect a certain thing you start to get more clarity it doesn't happen overnight this is what i'll end with here drake your collection is incredible you've got amazing cards you've got one of the best peyton manning collections i've ever seen it's it's amazing take some time take a step back even if you're on a dry spell spend some time with those cards that you had you have already put in the work to land those through deal making winning auctions that is what i tend to do especially when something slips out of my fingers or i check a cardladder saved searches and i'm like damn it i can't believe i missed that card so i try to find some extra time my therapy is going into my collection be like you know what like i do rule like look at my collection look at all this work i've done so hopefully there's a little help there but that's kinda my response what do you say john yeah i think you nailed it i also i saw this quote recently that then i think i could apply to not only drake's situation but i think what people deal with in the hobby and with social media are you climbing the mountain for the world to see you or for you to see the world oh baby i love let it sit let it sit but like i would just think about it this way like if social media wasn't a factor would drake still feel this pressure and feel like he's missing out like would that would that feeling still be present if there wasn't social media no way right and so it's like what's the rush like what are like the the urgency that he kind of that comes through in this question to me it's like the i i yeah again like what's the rush even if you were hitting every if every card was popping up and you were getting it exactly when it pops up like is that fun like i mean yes it's fun to get the cards but alright we had to hit pause i had a card come in the mail my alarm went off so we had to take a brief break john you're giving a great response i'll kick it back to you yeah i think i was just saying what's the rush in all this and the pressure from outside opinions don't let it bother you focus on what you have this is supposed to be a hobby you know and it's supposed to be a side and escape from everything else and then i was thinking kinda sounds like drake could use a hobby to get away from the hobby like if the hobby is stressing you out this much you need a hobby so what's a hobby within the hobby maybe drake should become a flipper maybe drake should become a breaker imagine drake breaking i think the name the name's already there somewhere start prospecting start the a cuff pc the razorback stud like i don't know if that if the manning stuff and the big cards is that stressful and like you feel like it's not bringing you the joy that it that it should like figure something else out in the hobby or or take a step back just put the phone down sometimes and what'll what'll be will be like you'll miss some cards that's fine you've got awesome cards and there will be more awesome cards in the future this has triggered something that i watched last night i wanna ask you the question have you watched manosphere on netflix yet have you seen that i watched the second half my wife watched the first half without me i was somewhere and then i watched the second half of it but i like i like go continue the it just when you're talking about social media and its its toxicity it immediately triggered back to what i watched last night and i think social media plays such a negative role in our mindset and mentality when it comes to collecting because we're trying to compare keep ourselves up and i'm i'm not saying this is what drake is doing i'm just saying in from general observations but watching this show which is abs in absolutely disgusting in my opinion like this is profiting off of this mentality and pointing it at underage kids for the most part it's just disgusting but anyways i i watched these influencers that they're talking to and their whole shtick and everything else and i was just like you know what like there might be some people in the hobby running a similar playbook but in the hobby and so i just there's a lot going on with social media loud voices people flexing cards and it's just like i like your advice sometimes you just need to put the phone down and just get focused on yourself and your collection and that can be very very healing yeah it's bad social media is bad like in general it's there are some benefits but it's bad but also i i'm i like thinking of drake as the flipper or drake at drake going to shows like drake with a little like louis vuitton crossbody pulling out some stacks that that drake i'm fully on you or a breaker be a breaker flipper start vlogging just start a hobby within the hobby that's what you need i'd sign up yeah alright we got a chunk play there so it was third and five from the twenty four we got fifteen wow it's now first in goal from the nine we got a couple questions left should we just try and punch this in let's try to punch it in man let's try and punch it in first and goal from the nine question from let's see i'm gonna go with this from charm city tim name a realistic player you wanted your team to draft in round one that turned out to be a bust this took me a minute to think about but i landed on a pretty good one and that was two thousand five workout warrior fabian washington and fabian washington dude he ran a four two nine forty we needed a corner and i wanted him luckily he was he was picked he was picked by the raiders before the colts picked and and it all worked out because the colts picked marlon jackson this year and marlon jackson is responsible for the greatest play in the history of the franchise with marlon's got it his pick on tom brady to close out the afc championship and then go on to the super bowl so it ended up working out but i wanted fabian washington and i was doing some investigation based on tim's question on fabian washington so when the raiders signed d'angelo hall it basically made fabian washington expendable he wasn't really doing much he ended up going to baltimore getting traded going to baltimore after that but he had just an all time quote he said i would have traded myself that's a fun ability yeah i love it so shout out fabian washington what about you i put byron leftwich the two thousand three nfl draft the bears needed a quarterback i was so invested in that draft too like i've said the two thousand one bears team that went like thirteen and three with jim miller made the playoffs put me online as a bears fan and then they had a terrible two thousand two and it was like clear they needed a quarterback byron leftwich coming out of marshall the broken leg like scene he just was like unlike anything that the bears had aura he had aura i wanted byron leftwich so bad the bears didn't get him and then i was looking i forgot in the o three draft when the vikings just didn't get their pick in and oh okay like which is insane that that happened they missed two picks because they were they had like the fifth o or the seventh overall pick they didn't pick in time and so the jags were on the clock and they took left which and then then they missed one more but the bears ended up trading up later to get rex grossman at the end of the first round in the o three draft and so i was like okay new rookie quarterback i've never experienced this before surely this will work out and have been on that carousel ever since but really wanted byron leftwich in o three the do we do we did we ever find out what was going on in minnesota during that why that slipped there was some trade and then they just didn't get the pick like it wasn't fully confirmed okay until the draft took an odd turn when the vikings and their pick the seventh round they were apparently attempting to consummate a trade when their fifteen minute time allowance elapsed the jaguars who selected next were quick to pounce turning in their card to select byron leftwich immediately after the vikings time elapsed and then the pack then the panthers were on the clock and so it's like everyone moved up a slot and they're like oh if we can just get in now and then the panthers got jordan gross offensive tackle and then the vikings finally recovered and selected defensive tackle kevin williams okay and williams was kevin williams was good he was good yeah missed only four games in his ten seasons in the nfl made six pro holy shit four games that's it wow yeah he was a great pro man yeah o three draft there's some good players i mean you got like first round andre johnson troy polamalu willis mcgahee colts got dallas clark larry johnson's in there the colts also got robert mathis in the fifth round terrell suggs was drafted by the ravens how sick is it when you're looking at the draft on football reference like troy polamalu like he's got the h o f tag next to his name i just love that yeah i love wikipedia for a draft recap because then i can click into all sorts of just like article related things so that's a that's another little fold alright we got a we got a few yards there second and goal from the five and we'll do one more quick football one from chargers pc sports cards give us hot takes for the twenty twenty six season other than colts and bears which teams are scary mm-mm okay so it's still march and we haven't had the draft yet dude i might fumble the play because this sounds i i feel like i'm gonna have to conjure like a first take related take in order to answer this and i i don't know if i have it in me yeah i put packers will win the super bowl or if you're trying to now book it that's there's no way they don't win the super bowl yeah we alright we got sacked so now it's third and goal from the fifteen this is it we need this okay we need this and it's the question from call me a woo at what point do you start to question whether or not to sell something i like this question i think it's for me it's when something i say the unconnected in my collection are the most vulnerable and usually the unconnected go when there's a card available that i need and will be connected and it's the type of card my mom would say you paid what for that card and so that's when i the unconnected go to get a connected piece that is more money than i just wanna rip out of my bank account mhmm yeah i i i said i think there are a couple triggers that like lead to questioning selling a card one is consolidation when you have a clear target and you need capital the judgment day process begins there's that whole thing but then i think another trigger for questioning selling and i've never done this yet but it's starting to become a thing but like taking gains like it's finally starting to happen where i've been in this long enough that there are some cards i got that are super cheap that are worth a lot more now never experienced that because when i first got in this hobby everything i bought just went down in value over the next three years and so i just was like that would how cool would have been to be one of those people that had all those cards and over the years they went up in value it was that was a myth to me i was like that's never that's not a real thing but at this point now and there's just certain cards like we'll talk i'll talk o two finest stuff like that brady said like i have certain cards i'm like i got this for fifteen dollars and i bet i could sell it for two hundred bucks even and it's like because know part of me is like take money off the table when you can and there's other purchases i wanna make but i'm like i don't want to i love these cards and i wanna hang on to these cards but but the the market is another just catalyst for thinking about possibly selling and that's what he was asking it's like when do you think about selling so yeah with like that example the o two finest stuff that's a great example very timely i think if i were in that situation for me i think of like my end state like if i were to be gone and my collection were just sitting there what what do i want it to look like so i often ask myself i'm like like if i had the o two finest collection you have i'd be like is this part of my end state and if the answer is if i'm questioning that then especially under these conditions like i i'm not you you are not me we don't have the same philosophy on how we collect or what we like but that brady sale would trigger me to probably just see you later everything because then i would take the proceeds and just go put it into some dream card that i've just been too scared to make an offer on that would be it so i i find that like reading the room a little bit is really helpful and not saying the brady sale made all of your cards we joked about it last week like ten x in value but certainly there's definitely more eyeballs and attention on our two finest right now than ever before and those are the moments if they're not cards that i'm like going to spend the rest of my life with that probably kinda offload that's at least how i try to look at things yeah good insights yeah i i was just saying that as a i don't wanna sell any of that stuff right now sure you love it you love it more than i do i love it i have a whole roblox just dedicated to it and like that's like a separate thing from my actual like bears collection so that i just bought i i i'm always buying but like it gets to that point like one day because i want the whole refractor veteran set if i have that then maybe that's what i just sell off golds and extractors because i get just as much enjoyment out of some of these refractors out of two fifty as i do the golds and extractors like they're still awesome cards so i can could still have the end game be the that full set and sell off here's a question for you man you love this stuff you're it's very apparent what if your the sales of all of it you just sold it all and what if the sales of all of it could get you in a power position to acquire a mount rushmore type card that you've always wanted or never thought that you would even have a chance at and i'll just this is probably a bad example just because it's the i can't even imagine what it would sell for now but i'm i'm just thinking about like cards like like the the caleb finite rookie right stuff like that like would you would you would you would you change your perspective if you could all of a sudden be in the game of trying to acquire a card like that i don't know i don't think so you love it that much i do love it that much it's like it's something it's a through line that like collecting buying cards from that set to me just represents the like early two thousands madden feeling that i still like that is what's i started when i came back into this hobby like wanting to recapture that feeling and that's all i have left of that because like i used to have bigger collections of other running backs and stuff and i sold a lot of that off mhmm to get the cutler finite but like the strictly o two finest it's a it's a very i love going through that box and seeing all the different players and like it gives me a reason to have a peyton manning card and a randy moss card and i don't know but like if the day comes that does become easy to then just chop off the whole arm of that like that's always what i've done in the past is like when i'm consolidating it comes easier to remove an entire segment versus like piece selling parts off but i don't know if someone walked in and was like here's the caleb finite give me that box i mean just from a values perspective the caleb's worth way more it would be dumb for me to say no but if like the value was totally equal i don't know that's just a lot of money for a quarterback that yes has given me moments and i like a lot but who knows what's going on in three years and then i'm like does this card feel like a justin fields card to me when and the o two final stuff continues to be desirable i don't know that's it's a good thought exercise though i like that did we score we didn't it's fourth fourth and goal from the eight i think should we just take a field goal and maybe we'll try try for a touchdown another time i almost wanna take a timeout and decide next week alright we're taking a timeout fourth and goal from the eight we'll we'll come back next week and figure out what what to do okay should we talk about some sales yes i have a quick topic that i just wanna throw up before that because i don't know if we spend any time doing this but i wanna talk about this mendoza sale this bohme and chrome university this happened all the way in january but it had this thought this whole his super fracture sold for seventy eight thousand dollars in january and i saw this sale and immediately this told me like when because there will not be a fernando mendoza black friday night but let's just say let's just say like his first his first super factor it's the most comparable in a raiders uniform what what does that card sell for if if the if his bowman sells for seventy eight k like how would you think about that well i'm curious if this isn't a situation where him being in an iu jersey yep has actually made this you know hundred percent has yeah you know if that's a bigger factor then and it's not just since his bowman sold for this the finite's gonna sell for x amount more because we saw we saw and we both know personal like the iu alumni base is large passionate there are people with money i bet there are people who wanted this just because he's in an iu card that wouldn't want to be players in the raiders black finite like yep they want it for this so i mean it's still gonna be a massively hyped card but the i'd say yeah i think i think this card is awesome if i was an iu football fan and after experiencing the last couple years that they've had in the championship and like this card is the card to represent that but yeah his finite's gonna be a not finite super factor oh super factor yeah it'll be a several hundred thousand dollar card yeah i mean football cards can't sell for a million so it won't get there but it'll be it'll be few hundred thousand it's funny it's like when i saw this card my first instinct was that an iu person bought this and it's weird when you see a sale this big but that's the feeling i had and i was actually talking to my wife about him i was like how crazy is this like this kid comes in he wins a national championship and is in a year could be argued as the like the greatest athlete ever at indiana university just based on that year certainly a statue worthy type player in one year which is just it's it's insane and one of the more likable kids so i i just i wish nothing but the best of him and i'll be excited to watch his football cards go nuclear mhmm yeah i mean that'll that's something alright let's should get into some sales also real quick there's a sale that ended last night that we need to talk about that's not on this list alright let's see what we'll do i don't know if it's paid for i don't know if there's foul play go to sales history and search twenty twelve prism gold okay oh wow gronk thirty one thousand dollars for gronk oh my lordy holy dude grove prism gold bgs nine five rob gronkowski at auction for thirty one thousand eight hundred dollars i don't know if that's like i don't know what to make of this i i i do they're the gronk collectors are real and they're passionate i have not i'm just finding out about this for the first time so i have no idea if it's legitimate or not but to be honest with you dude like seeing this and seeing gronk and obviously the card itself it's a a extraordinary number but to me it like i'm not saying oh this has gotta be foul play like i i actually think this could be legitimate so that's that's insane dude that's yeah i just saw that this morning saw some chatter about that this morning and massive massive sale but what what else we got yeah so this card is just crazy dude the twenty five jax and dart flashback black finite one of one flashback to twenty fifteen so this is an insert this sold via best offer for eighty five thousand dollars on ebay eighty five thousand dollars man yeah so i'll just leave it at that man they should twenty fifteen flashback though should have been a pulsar like god this is this is such a wonderful observation what a focal a focal like you can't that's not a flashback this is the first this is a new thing like we've never seen a twenty fifteen fight night which is sick it's sick to see you know how they would look but i would if they were really truly staying true to form the flashback should have been a pulsar man what a good callout man what a good callout but yeah that's a crazy sale it's funny when i like looked at this i was like something just looks different about this and it's something just didn't register anymore called it out what a what a call i'm just still surprised by the dart i know it's new york and i know he had some flashes but yeah it just seems like he's on another level of people are prospecting on him oh he is i love him yeah he is he could be i mean it's like he's hitting jaden daniels level yes after jaden's rookie year where jaden had an unreal complete rookie year wins rookie of the year like they go to the playoffs all that it's like dart went four and eight and got hurt and it's still he still feels like he's that white hot it's the aura dude the aura aura's everything how about this twenty thirteen exquisite collection draft pick auto lebron james yes we're talking about a lebron james card on the football card podcast but this is lebron james as a football player in his high school gear selling for fifty seven thousand dollars on card auto the upper deck of it all wow saint vincent saint mary representing what say you about the lebron james football card sale i didn't know this existed and this is did i that is sick it's always like everyone's always talked about what if lebron had played football because he was a stud high school football player early in his career he had like a i believe full ride to ohio state and everything and i think he broke his wrist as the story goes and then just stuck to basketball after that but i mean if braun had played in the nfl i don't get why moore and like actually didn't the colts just grab that basketball player from her name kid yeah yeah yeah i mean i feel like we saw like a uptick in that one like antonio gates like first game on the scene and it was like oh yeah just take a basketball player put them at tight end and they're gonna be sick like they have rebounding skills they can get jump balls but yes in a alternate world i always would have loved to see lebron play in the nfl it seems like he'd be a dominant force out there there was i was actually listening to some content around this and whoever i was listening to made it sound like nearly like half of the nfl teams at least stashed away on their practice squad have at least one basketball guy i think about the colts now they have two because they have mo ali cox like yeah and so it there i think it's just there hasn't been the antonio gates since antonio gates so it's kind of people don't think about it but i think there are some basketball guys just still in the mix waiting for their chance to break out yeah or like i guess because corners are good but like that seven nine kid on florida like college basketball like how do you not have him on your team and you just when it's like first and goal to go first and five like who's covering the seven nine guy like through just throw it up to him and but i guess like the they jam him on the line he wouldn't even be able to get there you'd hope that would happen but i don't know i'm just surprised we haven't seen more just like bring out a seven footer seven footer red zone specialist to just go up and get a fade no doubt we move over to oj simpson nineteen seventy tops have you ever heard of this guy before yeah it's a pop one nineteen in the psa nine selling for five thousand four hundred and fifty five dollars but i just saw this sale and we just talked about oj simpson but we didn't share any cards but here is you look at that face of oj simpson at this point and it's just like do do do you have any idea where what you're like what's about to happen with that dude i still see like him in naked gun and laugh but this is i see him on a football card i know he was a great football card player but he's infamous at this point so he is yeah we're a we're a pro juice podcast the player the player not the separate the art from the artist five straight first team all pros four rushing titles he was so good shout out to oj shout out to oj sick card it is nice little portrait of oj orenthinal james simpson how about this one i i think this was in the collection of mr cardboard chronicles the twenty twenty prism black finite cd lamb at auction an old auction selling for twenty five thousand two hundred dollars yeah big big boy sale here yeah i haven't looked into this or like comparable receivers and what they've gone for but i mean didn't justin jefferson a few years ago went for over fifty so i feel like i don't know twenty five doesn't seem like cd's had a great career so far but again it was kinda like the what we were talking about last week where the current skill players it's like what have you done for me lately mhmm you know and cd kinda having so after he had his massive seventeen hundred yard season or his first team all pro he had eleven hundred yards in twenty twenty four just over a thousand yards in twenty twenty five so kinda just two and with george pickens in the mix maybe you know it's just he's not as exciting as like oh a clear cut dominant number one receiver anymore as he did a couple years ago but another player that i feel like history will be kind to because when you look back at what he's accomplished as individually like pro bowls all pros he's in stats he's got a solid resume so yeah shout out cb alright we move over to a card that oh boy got a lot of attention whenever there's a big tom brady card all the brady collectors just get it going and this baby was flashed into auction two thousand leaf certified tom brady four star mirror gold psa eight there's thirty five copies how about a card that's flashed into auction the weekly selling for ninety thousand dollars because that is what happened with this sweatpants tom brady card i will say i got a chance to hold one of these cards at the national shout out kevin the captain and joaquin live doctor evil i can't remember whose copy it was it was one of theirs but they are very very pretty in hand and even though he's on sweatpants they this this scan does not do it any justice at all these cards are incredible looking so but yeah i there was just everyone was up in arms about this card getting flashed in and then it sells for ninety thousand dollars yeah that's auction strategy is always interesting to me like what if it getting flashed in stirred up more buzz and created more like fomo than i'm sure having a prolonged marketing campaign in a month like this could have been in like a golden elite type auction or fanatics premier and like yeah with more with a longer runway of marketing i'm sure maybe could have performed better but who knows i mean the people who were gonna buy this card probably found out about it and it's just a matter of like getting funds together and yep all the logistics that go into that and like who knows the seller maybe needed cash in four days and that's why the premier auction just ended yeah yeah they're they had they bought something else and they needed to oh that's a good call that's the we need more transparency in the hobby i need to see like we need the blockchain yeah i was gonna ask you what the blockchain would be blockchain but that would be cool to see i don't know just like i'd i'd be i would be open open book on on on my dealings and interactions and it helps it's interesting it does we're gonna close it out with we i said pat tillman is episode forty and there was a big tillman sale it was the twenty one prism gold pat tillman psa ten this card sold for five thousand six hundred and forty dollars so i'm telling you there's no joke pat tillman collectors are insane so yeah this one was just just closed and there's four psa ten copies and this thing sold for fifty six hundred dollars dude that that is crazy and i was just thinking of a comparable player and not to be morbid comparable on more ways than one but sean taylor sean taylor has a passionate fan base for sure defensive back has big sales and i they both were killed by gunshots which is tragic but like like i don't know if that's a factor but the fact like i was trying to think of dbs i was like oh dbs are having a moment these like dbs from the early two thousands and but yeah tillman cards that that's crazy that and that's like out of the downtown world that's a full that's a collector buying that card correct that's sick that's a sick looking card though i thought it was cool though i think this might be the first time ever we closed out the sales section with actually the number of the episode of the player so we went full circle that look at that we're getting it together for the episodes in finally coming around alright let's get into some collecting updates and get out of here what are the current collecting projects that you're focusing your resources on brett any pickups yeah so i won a card at the weekly and it is the twenty twenty four zaire franklin prism nebula one of one now this card thought was an interesting topic of conversation where i looked at it a few times and then sunday night i was like you know what this is a chance if if i have if i have i've got a limit and if this card goes under my limit like it will be cool because then it'll allow me to get another twenty twenty four i have two i have the anthony richardson i have the michael pittman junior and isaiah franklin which the theme here is like you know likely ar gets traded so all these players no longer play for my team but that is besides the point because what is the point is my prism collection this being the first year nebula and my desire to have those cards i think it's cool so yeah zaire franklin literally just got traded but i'm here buying one of his cards and we talked about once players get traded or signed with other teams some people decide to offload and i kind of do the reverse here where i'm picking up guys who just left the team so excited to get that card i thought it might be the highest zaire franklin sale of all time although there is a dual like leattu latu and zaire franklin color blast when they were doing like the two guys on a team color blast a couple of those have sold a little higher but yeah i'm excited to get that one in hand and i'll get it graded and you know it'll just be stashed away amongst the others yeah those cards are so cool i need a nebula i've never gotten i don't have any nebulous and yeah i've seen more and more dj more market cards hit the market and it's tempting but tell me something bad about zaire franklin because he's going to the packers he okay so zaire franklin i would say he's a seventh round pick and he's a special teamer and he just progressed i'll get to the bad but he was a team captain for like five seasons and willed his way into a starting spot and was the starter for like five or six seasons and unbelievable against the run just a great tackle like look at his tack tackle they're unreal atrocious against the pass just atrocious like he's progressively gotten worse last season was all time bad every third down they just pick they pick at him and he can't cover so it's like if it's third and five and you're playing against them the chances are you're you're trying to you know get five yards chances are they're going to the tight end who zaire franklin's trying to cover so not good and another bad thing he talks a lot like he's got a podcast he'd ripped daniel jones before like in the giants and then the colts in their shitty year they got beat by the giants and then daniel jones became his teammate he just he likes to talk but very intelligent player he's got a lot of smarts he's a leader for me i wanted a it's crazy i wanted him gone this year because i wanted a new voice he's been the voice and it hasn't worked and then last year he couldn't cover shit so i'm like get him out of here but i'm still buying his cards team collecting is a sickness it truly is a sickness it's a great it's bad but good i'm i'm excited to see him try and guard colston mublin yeah yeah that's a matchup you're gonna really like i like that no real well i did get on the two thousand two finest a tim brown refractor i think that brings me to ten out of the twelve jersey refractors oh yeah so we're we're chipping away there i think it it's supposed to arrive today hopefully it shows up in the the briggs bandit the the indianapolis bandit didn't get their hands on it and then i have another card i texted you about this card yesterday and it's still it's still ongoing but i was just thinking of like the how research can just add more and more layers to a card that make you want it more and more and more where it's just like leveling up a card like you say you just have a card that's like a blank card and you put like a first year attribute on it and it's like it goes up a little bit you put parallel it goes up a little bit you know and then you start reading into it you're like oh this is the only one of these parallels from this set like the more you add on to your you know card all of a sudden it becomes more and more desirable and this seller has me in a blender they have their asking price i i set an offer to try and get something going they didn't respond for a full twenty four hours it expired and during that twenty four hours i was starting to spiral like i need this card should i bid in this card i texted you about it and that's when you know like even as i was like texting you i'm like the fact that i'm doing this yes tells me i need to just buy this card because if i go through all this and it just disappeared i'd be upset i wanted to see if that offer ever got replied to and then last night it expired so i immediately the it expired and i immediately fired off another offer that was much higher but still i was like can't see it how many how many more dollars higher than your original three hundred i thought that okay there has to be a response to that that's what i thought like this is a they have twelve fifty as the asking price twelve fifty obo my first offer was seven hundred i was hoping that would just start a convo and i could end around a thousand to eleven hundred and they just didn't respond you moved up and during that i did research where i'm like i think twelve fifty is a good deal like i i truly do should i just bin it but part of me is like can i save a few hundred bucks here and so i and i'm like just be patient just taking a page out of what i was saying to drake like cards come and go like you know maybe maybe i don't get this but i know i need this card because the way that again like i was just refreshing constantly checking on it did they accept the offer no it expired okay here's a thousand dollar offer crickets and so now it's the next morning there's nothing i will i will bend this card by the time the this episode comes out well should you disclose what it is if you're gonna bend it not yet i'll you don't wanna curse yourself yeah i can't yeah i'll wait and i need to line up a couple sales because i splurged on some twenty thirteen selectgold basketball cards that it's the old like i've mentally sold some of these cards a couple times to pay for other cards and of course now i'm like if i buy this card i really need to at least like i need a thousand dollars coming back to me if i'm gonna keep buying thousand dollar cards it's just that's how it goes it's how this hobby goes alright should we do a card call out last week we asked to see qb wide receiver combos had some great submissions shout out andy bye bye
