Smashing BIN: Finest Gold XFractor Glory with Paul (@colts808stable)
Alright. We are back. Excited for this conversation because I get to talk to another collector who collects, almost the same type of stuff that I do.
I've apologies in advance for all of you, football fans out there, but we've got a couple Colts collectors here. And we're gonna be talking mostly about the Colts.
So a lot of passion and everything in between. I am pumped to be joined by Paul. Paul goes by Colts eight zero eight stable on Instagram. We're gonna talk about a couple of his bin smashes that are just perfectly paired together.
But without further ado, Paul, welcome, man. How are you doing? Brad, I'm doing good. I'm so I'm just as pumped as you. Thank you for having me back.
Just a couple Colts fans, and we're gonna chat up, have an interview today, talk about the Colts. Okay. I I gotta ask. We would let listeners know, and we we won't bore you with all of, we what we just talked about.
We just before we hit record, we just talked fifteen minutes about Colts football. Like, it's getting back into our bloods where we can feel it.
We got we're staring down, training camp and preseason. It's wild in a month. We're gonna be playing some football in preseason form. Paul, it hasn't been, you were saying, since luck retired, and I can agree with you.
It hasn't been all roses. We've had a lot of good players come through. We have not had much success going into this season. Like, what what's your feeling? Like, how do you like, what's your mindset going into, this year?
Steichen's third year, third year of Anthony Richardson, a lot of nice surrounding pieces. What are your thoughts? Yeah. I'm not like, I'm keeping my, I man, I'm hoping they do good, but I'm keeping my, how do I say it?
I'm I'm not expecting much from them. Just I wanna get back to the playoffs. He said that ever since Lux retired, just a lot of heartbreak.
I mean, there's a lot of good, I mean, with JT, his 2021 season as well. But, man, other than that, we gotta get back to the playoffs. You know, go back to when Manning was the quarterback and get that juice back.
I I, I I go back often and watch some of the highlights. And, man, it's like, I've I've never realized how much I took a twelve and four season for granted, than I do right than I do right now.
Right. I was listening, to your, interview you had with Timmer's cards, and he was talking about his 40 fandom.
And I think as I get older, I'm not really shooting for Super Bowls when it come in. Just even making the playoffs nowadays is just is just a blessing. Yeah. Before, you know, with Manning, I was like, oh, we gotta get that Super Bowl.
You flash forward to now. It's like, I'm just happy if we can get 10 wins on our record, let alone make the playoffs. You you get humbled quickly. That's for sure.
We're gonna talk about a couple of your bin smashes and Colts cards in general, but I I have noticed just I feel like since the last time we spoke, you have definitely like, you're collecting the Colts still, but it feels like you're a lot more focused in terms of collecting projects, cards you like.
Maybe over the last year or so, like, take us into, like, how you've been thinking about kinda your collection and evolving it and making sure that you're getting key cards that excite you.
Like, what's been going on? Sure. Yeah. You're not you're not off with that observation there. So I wanna go back, I wanna say, September.
It was my first consolidation with the Wharf with Nick, actually. And I wanna shout out the Wharf, actually, Nick, because he's been a big part of this. So it started in September, and it's still going on today right now.
So, yeah, last time you saw me, I pretty much was just buying up everything. Let's just go to o five finest and o six finest. I got the rainbow and everything, the green extractors, the regular extract yeah.
Just everything. And I just I wanted to get deeper into, what I really liked. And, you know, like I told you last time I was on, I only got into really into the hobby mid twenty twenty three is when I started really collecting.
And, just found myself, like, cards keep popping up. It never stops. Just, you know, I'll go on eBay and to be like sometimes I hope cards don't pop up, but they just keep popping up.
And I'm getting into Facebook groups and everything now, and Cards pop up there too, and it just got way too ever overwhelming. And then you couple that with my collection was just getting out of hand.
I could not enjoy just way too many cards already. So we go back to September 24, and that's when I decided if I ever wanna get back into these cards, I can get back into them.
You can't say that for the cards we're gonna talk about today, like, the cards, you know, the card I have for Smash, and those cards just don't come up. Ultimately, that's those two reasons are why I decided to consolidate with Nick.
Gone through probably four big consolidations. I got rid of all my, GameWarn jersey cards, all of that. Got all my autos are gone, actually. Just just to get more focused into what I really like, the shiny side of the hobby.
Have you have you, maybe before we get into your cards, what I've noticed is just like I it feels like you've been very intentional about trying to build, like, work on collecting projects that are aren't easy to do, like, this, you know Yeah.
O six gold x factor run. Maybe talk a little bit about just, like, how you under how you realize that that is the route that you feel like is going to be the most satisfying.
So without even knowing, like, without even knowing what I was doing, I was actually if you look at my collecting now, I'm I'm trying to pick, like, maybe two or three sets from different eras.
So the way I categorize my collectings, you're gonna have the nineties era, and then we go into the early two thousands, and then we'll go into the twenty tens.
And then, you know, we have the ultra modern on the 2020. So within those eras, I narrowed my PC down to the sets that I really like, and that's, you know, the nineties.
I'm I'm big into the p and g's now, the rubies, and all of that. And then we go into February. Now finest runs from the mid nineties, I I wanna say, probably even earlier, but they run all the way up to what?
The the mid twenty tens. But within that, you know, I've solely selected, like, I love o two finest, o five, o six, and then you've got those mosaics and those.
And that's how I've narrowed down my collecting, trying to just go after more of the rare and scarce cards.
And, you know, if I ever wanna get back into the other parallels, those are I probably could go on eBay right now, and you could find a bunch of those, but that's just how I've shrunken to see.
We go into the twenty tens. I chose Prism, and, I mean, you're a big part of that too.
I've you know, I go on IG, and I'm my collecting is also influenced by what I would I would I would I would be lying if I say, like, if I go on IG and part of my collecting is not influenced for what I see other collectors collect.
You being a bills, big coats collector, prism being the flagship, and it's probably the reason why I chose prism as the set to represent the 2010 to ultra modern era that I collect in.
I I, think oftentimes, some collectors might not feel like they want other people collecting in similar spaces as them.
But I have, and I have enjoyed our back and forth on all of these sets in meeting someone else who is passionate about not only the same sets, but the same team and player.
So, I feel like you and I do a try to do a good job of, sharing as much information and listings, with each other, especially when we already have the cards as, as possible.
And, you know, sometimes, like, we're just talking about some cards before this.
Sometimes there's a little healthy competition, but I I don't know. It's been fun watching your collection evolve, and, I don't know. Like, I'm sure you and I could both put our collections out, and we would both be like, hey.
I want that, which this just happened. I said to you, I want that card. You're like, I'm not getting rid of that card, and I'm sure you do the same to me, and I'd say the same.
So I think that's it's what I've I've learned about kind of our back and forth. It's fun to just meet other like minded collectors who are as passionate about the same areas as as myself. Definitely. The feelings meet you there.
I know I've hit you up in the DMs expressing, you know, is that card available for trade, or would you consider sending that card? You know, you tell me the same thing. No. I'm probably gonna hold on to it. It's part of the PC.
And I understand that. Yeah. I'm not opposed to other collectors, so to say, having the same passion as me. Like, who am I to keep these cards from someone as passionate as me? It's just it's just cool how we can talk.
You know what I mean? Like, we've had those instances where, like, I've asked you, but I know you've already got this in your collection. You know? I just wanna see if you still got that. Are you gonna be going after this?
So, you know, you know, we try to avoid beating each other up. Yeah. It's yeah. Yeah. We we we do our best. It's it's not a 100% foolproof. That's for sure. But maybe let's let's get let's get into, some finest stuff.
I think it was very appropriate that you put both of these together because so much of this era of Colts football, it's so hard to not think about Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison together.
Lots of collector or lots of people always focus on Manning, rightfully so, but, man, what an offense. And these two players are just iconic, Colts that I think are deep in the hearts and minds of Colts nation everywhere.
So, maybe before before we'll start with the Reggie, and I'll pull it up on the screen. But maybe you mentioned having an appreciation for certain years of finest. What what is it about o six finest to you that that set hits the mark?
So there's a few factors, probably more. It's just o six finest. You know, the that's the year the Colts won the Super Bowl and all. And then, you know, you go into the scarcity of that, the gold extractors there being out of 10.
And just compared to, all the other years of finest, those gold extractors just really stand out to me. And then me getting into prism gold, those being out of 10, and I don't know.
There's a connection there with it being out of you know, with the finest part of being out of 10, and that's the same way I feel when it comes to the mosaics.
Those being out of 10, there's those being out of 10 have definitely add to the reason why I collect those as well.
They just even aesthetically, they're just they're beautiful cards to shine on them. 1100%. I think we as collectors, especially across manufacturers, like consistency.
And I've never really thought about it that way, but, like, my favorite finest stuff is typically out of 10, and that aligns with, my love, I think, for, Gold Prism stuff.
But may alright. We're gonna pull up the we'll start with the Reggie. You know, a lot of people say, you know, maybe he played in the shadow of Marvin Harrison.
I think it's obviously unbiased. I think it's a crime. He's not in the Hall of Fame already. Like, look at the number. It's just I played all of his seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
Like, what I love most about Reggie is came after Manning, where he was given an opportunity to leave when Manning left and decided, you know what? I'm gonna I think I still remember.
I think it was a three year $17,000,000 deal, which is crazy based on what receivers make now, but he decided to stick around with luck his rookie year and several years after, and that really became so instrumental to luck's growth early.
Just an all time cold. You've I think I've got the o six regi gold, finest x factor. Talk to us, about the story of, like, why this card, how you came across it, and anything you wanna share.
Yeah. I wanna just wanna go back real quick. You know, like, how like, why this card you asked me and, you know, if you remember, it's been a while now.
Our last the last time I was on your podcast, I was trying to complete Manning's, finest run. So 1999 up to 2015. So I had laid all of that out and, you know, which ones really stood out to me, the '5 2005 and 02/2006.
Those are just instrumental years for me and for the Colts. I mean, 2005 being to me, I think 2005 was one of the best, if not the best Colts team ever.
Yeah. Most talented for sure. You know? And that's how It was the it was the Super Bowl team, but then with Edra and James. So it's like Man. And then next year, they win it, and Yeah.
Edger and James left for Arizona. But, yeah, just all of that plus aesthetics, all of that just led me to consolidate all those other years except for certain parallels in certain years, and then these ones.
The May, just for all those reasons, I kept the gold extractor. I kept my gold refractors, and I still have those black extractors, and that's it. I cut everything else.
But this Reggie, since I've been in the hobby, it's the first one that surfaced. Well, the first one that surfaced that's been available, and it was so easy for me to bin smash it. He even I mean, I probably overpaid.
It was up there for $500 on eBay. But like I said, I was in the consolidation process with Nick, and that consolidation process, it wasn't like I would send in cards because I would need funds for a specific card.
I literally consolidated everything that, I guess I didn't wanna make part of my lane for now. I just basically got you know, I sent, like, everything, and then cards, you know, kept popping up.
So I already had funds available with Nick. So as soon as the card would pop up, I would hit up the wall. So Nick was the one that actually been smashed this card for me. And like I said, I probably overpaid, but I really don't care.
Like, these cards do not surface, and I wasn't letting this one get away. Dude, if this card was up for $500 as we were talking, I would put I would say, hey, Paul. Can we can we hold for a minute? I would smash bid on it.
But I think what's so interesting is that, we talk about consolidation a lot and the fact that you just, like, rip the Band Aid off Even though, like, at the time, it was like, there's nothing no big monster card out there that I'm consolidating for.
It was like, I'm done with this lane. And so you were, like, being super proactive and being intentional.
But it sounds like it ended up kind of working working it out for you. Like, what do you what do you think that means for you as a collector that you were just, like, ready to rip the Band Aid off and move forward?
Man, it was just like I guess, I I found my North Star, and I'm just trying to, really dial in on that, trying to not get into other lanes, you know, trying trying to stay disciplined within my lane.
Just, I guess, matured as a collector, I would say. Like, you were yeah.
You know how my, my last page is still up there, the one that I said was hacked? So for for whatever reason, if anyone wants to go check that out, you can actually see where my how my collecting has matured since then.
You go on that page, you can see it's all over the place, man. Like, I've got I've got patch cards.
You know? There's no, how how do you say it? There's no continuity. It's it's it's really all over the place. And then, yeah, I just with Nick, I was able to just sort of just dial in. The version really collect what I really like now.
For version two. Version two. I I I like the version two of Paul's collect. I've always liked it. Appreciate it. This focus in is is, very, very, rewarding for for me just as a collector to to see.
So we moved from Reggie, and we moved to Marvin Harrison. And I love I'm look being reminded looking at the post right now, kinda how you ended up with this card.
But just as another stunner, and to see these two side by side's incredible. Maybe tell the story about, your pick your, pickup of the, Marvin Gold extractor from o six finest.
Man, this Marvin, gold extractor surfaced on eBay, like, I wanna say three or four months after the did. Well, it was actually, Jason at Contrarian Cards actually had this up. The same so I'm on I'll tell you the story.
I'm at work. I'm taking a little five minute break. You know? This is at work. Go on my phone, check my saved searches, and that Marvin pops up. Oh, and I'm just frozen. And I'm like, holy shit. Go ahead and start there.
Marvin actually popped up. I look at the, seller. It's Jason. I immediately. I'm sorry, eBay. I love eBay. But I'm I'm I immediately go over to my IG account. You know? I go over to send, Jason a DM. And it was so easy.
I've done deals with Jason in the past before, and it was so easy. Got ahold of him. He told me this is my bottom price. I can't go any lower. As soon as he told me that, I was like, deal. And then here I am. I go over to Nick again.
I contact Nick because I've got funds from all these cards I've sent in. Nick instantly then smashes that on me with doing a little private deal on social and everything, and that's how that card came into my PC, and I don't regret it.
I definitely had to pay up on it. I do not regret it at all. It's a card I think I'll have in my PC for a very long time. It's just so awesome that I get to pair this with, the Reggie Wayne too.
I I love that. I'm hearing us you know, talking about Nick and then talking about Jason, someone else who you made deals with, there's this sense of, like, community, helping you get these cards and these cards that mean so much to you.
You talk and we were talking about this before we hit record, but just, like, looking at our collections, and sometimes there's cards that sit kinda sit out individually, but then you get another card, you bring them together, and you pair them.
Like, obviously, individually, these cards are both awesome, but having these two cards out of 10, Super Bowl year, both contributors on the Super Bowl team, same year, all this, like, how much better is it for you as a collector to have both of these cards together and this pair of iconic Colts receivers together?
Like, maybe talk a little bit about just, like, the importance of pairing for you and your collection.
Oh, man. I love it. If you look at my collection, I'm a you can if you wanna categorize me, go ahead. I'm a team set collector, and that's what helped me, you know, weed out that that's what helped the consolidation process too.
Like, if I was to get rid of one card, I would have to get rid of all the other cards from the same set as well. But just having these you know, I've only got two of these.
I'm just the same way I love pairing Reggie and Marvin. I love to pair them with the other the other I think there's three more. Peyton, Dwight. Stokley. Stokley. Which which we'll talk about in a second.
Yep. I need all of those. But, yeah, that's the way my PC works. Like, once I get into a set, I'm gonna want the other Colts players, whether they were highly touted during the playing days or let's just get into one of them.
There's a Anthony Davis. I don't think anyone's heard of him from o five finest.
I think he was just a drafty. Yes. He didn't even play a single game, but I still this might be exactly the ages, but I want that o five gold extracted just as much as I want the patent gold extracted from o five and o six.
And, obviously, if you put those two in front of me, I'm always gonna choose the patent, but I'm gonna want that Anthony Davis just as much.
Dude, I That's what really drives my collecting nowadays, the team set collecting. Dude, this is so I this happens with every Colt's collector that I follow and interact with, like, especially on the Prism stuff.
Like, I'll see I'll see a prism card gold prism in your collection, and I'll say to myself, I'll be like and it's like of an of a nobody.
And I'll be like, I wonder if he knows how much I would pay for this card. And, like, I just want off the top of my head as I think about, like, I think it's $20.
15. You've well, you've got a gold prism I don't have. Jeron Carter. And I'm like, that, like, didn't absolutely nothing. But it's part of the the it's part of the set.
It's part of the year. So it's like, you see those cards and you do crazy things for them. You know? Yep. That's it. Well, that's another that's an Eevee binge smash right there that they're on Carter.
Hey. Hey. The hey. Early bird gets the worm. That's always my philosophy on these things. Yeah. I just man, I'm just enjoying where my collecting has gone.
Like you said, it's I I I'd like to say it's matured, and, you know, I'm in a position in my collecting where I'm happy if cards don't like, I don't need that dopamine from always buying cards.
I'm happy to wait for the cards that I really want.
I'm just I felt like when I wasn't when I before this consolidation process, just felt overwhelmed. I'd go on eBay. I just buy anything that would catch my eye. So so happy to be in a position where kinda know my North Star.
I know my lanes, and I'm just trying to keep into those lanes now. You're doing a great job. Awesome collection. Those cards are amazing. Let's move over to some, bin smashes that have happened, and I'm sorry I'm bringing this one up.
Oh, that hurts. I I had to and we'll give this is the 2,005 finest, Brandon Stokely out of 10, Gold X Factor, and this thing just sold for $99.
99 on 07/10/2025. So Paul messaged me, when this one goes off the board and asked me if I ended up smashing Ben on it, and I did not even see it.
It was just it vanished into the night. And I wish I I did, and I wish I coulda helped Paul, but it's it just went.
And $99 for this card, it it the price was good. So, I guess maybe, like, sometimes we you can't win them all. Like, what's this card is obviously a part of kind of what you're trying to put together.
Maybe talk through kinda your mindset on missing out on the card and, like, how you cope with something like that. Okay. That yeah. Sure. Yeah. Like Brett said, I missed out on this.
It was on eBay for $99. 99. And the way I cope with I I'm gonna tell you right now. I would have been smashed that if man, even if it if if it was at 500, I probably would've had thoughts of been smashing.
I probably would've been smashed it. But the way I cope with, you know, lost out on this is I wanna I try to I'd like to find out who it went to so, you know, I hit you up in the DMs.
And, you know, if it went to you, I would have felt okay already. That's how I cope with it.
Did it get into the hands of a collector? And if it did, I'm I'm fine. Hopefully, another one another one will hopefully surface. They're out of 10. They're not those one of ones. But, yeah, that's just that's how I cope with it.
I tell myself, you know, it's out of 10. Another one's gonna surface. Hopefully, it went into a Colt's Connectors collection, and that whole thing of it. There's really there's really nothing I can do, really.
Like, kinda just have to move on and keep trucking. Hopefully, like I said, hopefully, another one pops up, and, hopefully, that copy I missed out is being enjoyed in the hands of a collector.
Close that up. That'd be. We'll put out a public service announcement for you if you bought this card.
Yeah. Please. 808Stable. Hit him up. Hit me up. You know, I just not even not even to get it into my PC. I just wanna know that it's in the hands of a Colts collector.
That'd be cool. When I always think about Stokely, I always think about the 49 touchdown, year where him, Reggie, and, Marvin all had double digit touchdowns in the same season, and it's just insane to think that that happened.
It was so much fun. That's why I love Peyton too. Like, he just you know, I obviously, Marvin, to me, was the number one receiver, but Peyton did such a good job spreading the ball even with his tight ends and everything.
And, yeah, that that being said, Stokely saw so much so much catches just like Reggie and Marvin did too. So he's a big part of my own codes collecting too. He's a player. You don't see too many Stokely cards in the market and finest.
I don't think even. He's not even in, prison. Yeah. So really want that card. I know he's in o six finest as well. Want that o six gold extract and just putting it out there. Hope on your platform.
Yeah. Hope hopefully very great. Oh, hopefully, this can help you land a couple cards. We'll we'll move over to a guy we were talking about before we hit record, and this is the 23 Select Anthony Richardson die cut gold prism PSA 10.
This thing sold for nearly $500 on May 26. Obviously, the hype around AR and AR's cards aren't what it was going into last season. I think there's a lot that can be said, and we could probably have a whole podcast about this.
But now I think you and I share the sentiment. Like, there's a cool QB competition. May the best man win. But the thing about Anthony Richardson, he's shown us enough glimpses that we have in the back of our mind that it's possible.
Now maybe if he can make the easy throws, he can solidify a starting position and lead the Colts to the playoffs, but only time will tell. Only Thoughts on Richardson, thoughts on his cards.
Yeah. I mentioned to you before the podcast, like, Manning's, you know, rookie year, his second year wasn't as graceful as his later years. And I'm sort of giving AR the same grace as well.
I actually think for 500 for this card was actually not too bad at all when you look at his other rookie cards up there in the high four digits to five digits because there's still people out there prospecting AR.
But I've I've just kinda stayed away from collecting AR for now. Like I just said, his card's being just way too expensive, the uncertainty.
I definitely hope he turns around, you know, and, you know, the people that do spend the that $10. 15 grand, whatever that may be for AR, I hope that's justified. I mean, you look at Manning now.
Manning's some of Manning's best cards are up there with just if not more than what AR's rookie cards are doing. And maybe, you know, down the line, I can justify spending five digits or four digits on an AR card.
I just can't do it now. But that being said, I mean, this isn't my wheelhouse, the, select, let alone the die cut, but I think at 500 for this rookie card, that's actually not bad at all.
Yeah. It's it is I know his stuff has gone down going into this season compared to last, but I still think, like, if if you're a believer, there's some there's some nice cards, you know, at decent price points for AR.
You just gotta look a little bit. Yeah. And I say that, and I'm still willing to spend a little more on AR, you know, just not as much. Yes. But, yeah, there are definitely nice cards of him out there.
Alright. We're moving from an unproven quarterback to maybe the most proven quarterback of all time. This is the 98 playoff contenders, Manning, BGS nine rookie ticket. Just an iconic card.
This thing someone smashed Ben on this thing for 25,500 on June 20, which is just a massive price. 200 copies of this card. I think it helps set the stage for the rookie ticket and so many of these incredible sales that happened.
But, yeah, man. When I when I think about his rookie catalog, this is one of those cards that comes to my brain. What do you think about kinda this card and and this monster sale?
Man, that's definitely a card that is is on my list. It's kinda back of my head right now. It being a a it's it's not a cheap card, but it's definitely a card on my list. I definitely wanna add that to my PC one day.
I dream of adding that to my PC one day. I can I wanna say that Peyton's a little, I don't know if it's a little, but I wanna say Peyton's undervalued yet? There's still he's definitely got room to grow yet.
That ceiling's definitely up there yet. 25,000 for this card, see, not bad at all for Manning's proven if it wasn't for Brady. Yeah. That's the exact yeah. He'd probably have a few more Super Bowls, that's for sure.
But I think maybe, like and, again, like, I'm not a big I don't over or analyze kinda autos, but the auto on this one is nice and bold. And I think so many of these autos have faded over time.
So I think, you know, that's part of, like, the premium where, you know, if someone's buying into this card, they're willing to pay up if the autograph is right. It's it's kinda how I read this. The same as me.
Yeah. Like, you had mentioned that you were gonna bring up that card up on our interview today, and I actually went on eBay to see if any were available. And there's actually one available, and the auto on it is almost nonexistent.
Yes. You you kinda have to zoom in, and you can see that the auto is faded. So, yeah, you're saying that yeah. I have a I mean, I have good friends with collectors that are really, they just deep dive into autos.
That's all they collect, and, definitely, they want that auto to you know, it has to stand out, and people are definitely willing to pay a premium if the auto is nice.
And especially on a card like this. I know 1998 was the introduction right of the rookie ticket being auto 200, and that all said with the auto being nice.
25,000, I think, pretty justified. Peyton Manning, hall of fame quarterback. My most favorite player of all time is probably Peyton Manning right there.
It is Peyton Manning. Hard to hard to argue against that. Alright. This part of the show is where I decided to go on eBay and pick a card that I think, Paul, you should own.
And I'm gonna at pull up the card. I'm gonna I'm gonna ask you, what do you think about this card and maybe why this card is not in your collection?
We're pulling it up. And it is one of my favorite, Colts, current Colts, and that's the 2024 Michael Pittman Black Stars, one of one.
I know you've got Black Stars in your collection. You've got Black Shimmer. Maybe the price is a little high, but maybe talk through this card.
And what do you see? And is this the type of card that maybe would end up in your collection? Oh, yeah. Well, I'm hoping that I'm hoping that payment just sits on eBay. It's a little too high for me to binge match it.
I've I've I've actually got my eyes on that. I've been watching that ever since it's popped up. It's just a little too high for me to bin smash. I've messaged the seller trying to work out a deal. I'm just glad it's still sitting.
I definitely do want that in my PC. I do collect black stars, and with me being a team team collector, team set collector, I definitely want that for the continuity with the black stars that I already own.
Do you so when you what's your mentality when you see a card you want that's listed maybe two times, if not more, higher than the price of what it should be? And has it make an offer?
Like, do you do you make an offer, even though, like, it might get rejected? Like, how do you how do you process and how do you think through stuff, that's listed maybe two times higher than what it should sell for?
Yeah. I just I definitely, I go to check if it's still how would I see it? My train of thought with that would be I definitely I go message the seller right away.
You know, I wanna I feel like sellers are you know, this could be a double edged sword too because, you know, that could give them the incentive to just jack the price up.
You know? I kinda wanna let them know that about my cults fandom. And to me, more or less, to me, that helps securing a deal.
And, you know, this guy is not trying to get a deal so he can try to flip it. He's actually trying to get it into his actual PC because he's an actual fan. So I guess and this is just me.
Honestly, other people do the same thing as their other individuals. I try to go into a conversation and try to let that seller know that, you know, I'm an actual Colts fan. I've got these players in the Black Stars parallel as well.
I'm looking to add that. I guess I wanna let them know my objective, and I'm hoping that helps me secure the deal, you know, with cards that are, I think, a thousand's too much for this card, to be honest.
When you look at I think I looked at card ladder. I landed the black stars. I'm just gonna say this because you can actually go on card that, and you can actually pull it up anyway.
It's public information. I think I bought the twenty twenty three Black Stars, Pitman for just over 200. So I'm, you know, I'm looking at that, and I just can't justify spending, man, over 500 for that one right there.
And that's why it's still been sitting. This is this is collectors helping other collectors live on a recording. So I've got the black finite of 2024, and I think I paid $5. 50 for it. So there's a measuring stick for it.
Oh, shoot. Granted granted, I think I might have gotten a d I might have gotten a deal on that one. But if you need some leverage in your conversations with the seller, you could you could let I'm I'm happy to put my name on that one.
Thanks, Brett. Yeah. Let me get this payment for 200, please. Yeah. We'll we'll we'll see what he says after that.
