it's episode forty two yes it is we have finally caught up to the wrestlemanias that have gone on all the time with their episodes more importantly adam i just saw you like days ago but how we doing it like this past weekend was was fun i was good to be in your shop finally got to see the shop finally yes you did yes you did hang out i have now completed i've completed the quest so like you know when you get the the video game achievements like i i've achieved going to all of the rbi crew iterations over the years and i i am waiting for my certificate to arrive it's called the trifecta you've done it but the one thing you did had to do is we endured that terrible football game on thursday so that was so bad we literally watched that whole game and it was like alright i'm taking your hotel this is terrible at least at least on that note it's news fest probably went to sleep pretty easy yeah i i mean like i had to get up early for a flight but it was it was fine and like i loved you know playing with your dog because he was very bitey still and but parker was fun we had got to do some ripping ripped a flawless case which was insane i had a great time doing that if so just for if you haven't gone on on the rbi crew seven instagram they they they chopped it up into two boxes so neil and chopped it up for us and you could see it being ripped live and we did that at the store i i've never been so nervous opening a box so nervous for opening something that was mine that you're like but you did great man it was a really good case i i definitely was happy to have you rip it some awesome cards came out and i got a star swatch so it's a win that's all you that's all that matters and i i i even tried to avoid anything with star swatches this episode and you've already you've already ruined it my favorite let's get in let's get into the opening pyro here so just not a very active week on tv but i coming out of money in the bank i think last week we talked about like penta with the with the fireworks in the briefcase it's awesome and then smackdown we got nothing like there was literally no tiffany stratton there was it was all just sort of built around this cody and randy thing which i think is randy's gotta move like we we've gotta get past this like it's just not working as much as i thought it was and then they insert baron corbin into it for some reason i i was like whatever but is is tiffany hurt like is she legit hurt like she took that humongous fall yeah maybe she's in concussion protocol like the nfl has it so who knows maybe she can't perform i don't know great point because obviously you had her win and not have her flowers and stuff like that and we're already a week over a week past money in the bank so i really don't know what to think what's going on with that but maybe she is hurt maybe that foul really hurt her maybe they pivoted i don't know i have no idea and and that and that's the thing like maybe we won't know because like that briefcase is good for a year so even if she's out for a month it doesn't matter truly she just won't get her focal point coming in and they probably are happy not to have to book around it for a month or two to have her taken out or do matches early in the paper or whatever but i will say this i i watched some of the smackdown just because we i was in it was like coming back and you know doing things with the family and then you know friday night just you know nikki bella and paige are having this feud on tv and i'm just like i like i get what they're doing in the match but it seriously might be the most snooze worthy feud of the modern era like there is no crowd reaction no one cares and i'm just like what what is going on like why are you continuing to think that nikki bella can be a thing in twenty twenty six paige is is young still she's younger than most of the like the the main women on the roster like she's only like thirty three years old or whatever and you have becky and charlotte and asuka and everybody that are close to forty so she's like very young but nikki just isn't it and having her feud with paige who is similarly struggling to adjust to the new era i i don't know man it's it's weird i i can't believe we're even talking about that match i'm shocked it was on the little board i just had to because i was like why is this on tv like smackdown is so boring and it's just like why are you putting this on tv it's just it didn't make any sense so that's really all i had for because literally smackdown somebody like created a new logo where it's like z it's like instead of wwe it's z z z like it's oh god like you're going to sleep yeah no i mean it's i don't know smackdown sometimes most of the time is pretty hard to watch that's why i have to follow it on a live stream too like yeah yeah and you would think you're trying to gain people to watch on a friday night but it is what it is monday night's where it is yeah monday so monday night raw comes back and they lead the show with with sami and roman which now i wasn't sure the direction that they were gonna go as part of this feud and i i wasn't sure like how this was gonna play out because in my opinion and this is my personal opinion outside of stone cold and vince mcmahon and their whole feud their bloodline with sami zayn that story they told leading up to i can't remember who was forty or thirty nine or whatever but it's one of the best stories that has ever been told on wwe tv and i love the way that that all played out in the the whole chair shot at at the royal rumble and it was just like the the crowd reactions elimination chamber in montreal and like everything that led into cody actually winning the title i think that must have been forty then yes was just masterfully executed and it really hasn't been the same since then they started off monday night raw with a callback to that and it was absolutely perfect i mean let's be honest sammy peaked at the time of the bloodline leading up to all that stuff now he's got the title where he's nowhere near the peak level he was i mean i love the this this storyline when sammy zane was a part of it and how it played out it was awesome and like you said you you had war games was great whenever he you know basically yes with him and kevin owens kevin owens yes so it was great and then obviously the chair like you said mentioned the back great storytelling one of the best of the blow line era whenever they were running together to get you know but here we are we're now gonna see this match in saudi arabia so here's the real question i believe that they are setting this up so that roman can win this imaginary belt that no one cares about do you have nine four six interfere to the point where sammy wins the crowd jewel championship as sort of payback for his nine day reign oh i like that as look at that you're really thinking of this i yeah because it's too obvious that roman should dominate now roman's gonna make this match even better than this because he's because he's great yeah he's he's an all time grade so we know we're gonna see a banger match sammy could put on banger matches we've known that if you watch sammy wrestle he can go in the ring he is a great he is the work horse he is the intercontinental champion like in a mold like if you were to make a like a a creative wrestler to be the intercontinental champion it is sami zayn for whatever reason he's the world champion right now but that is what it is maybe it's because centimeters punk didn't wanna go to saudi arabia given all the strife but either way like we've seen them wrestle before we saw them wrestle in canada in montreal everybody thought sami should have won i'm glad he didn't but i think the idea here is that it's being presented like roman's gonna steamroll and i don't know if that's really going to happen yeah now with this you know obviously nine four six thing that we had you know we'll talk about momentarily about but yeah now i really put that perspective to where then saudi gets their saudi descent and sammy to walk out as the champion but let's be honest is that really what they want they really wanna see even though he's front there i mean roman reigns is the face of wwe like yeah i mean and they're like ten years behind on everything so right now roman's still the big dog to them and he's like he's like let's cheer for roman yeah yeah so i don't know man again it'll be a great match but i i think the interference would be awesome i think i would be okay with it as much as i don't wanna see sammy win if it happens that way it builds an even bigger storyline for war games against nine four six with now a really pissed off roman reigns at this point yeah and i think like the ending of raw was again x i mean raw was has been great now two two weeks in a row three almost three weeks in a row because leading into money in the bank it was good too because like i think raw is is back on on on sort of this we need to go up against monday night football and whatever but like the like royce keys is being presented as you know like this really powerful thing but i mean like he's still not on roman's level he's not on anybody's level maybe not even jey uso's level but his group is being presented as we're gonna be the the other team in war games and we're gonna go bloodline in their signature match now because they've done three of the war games with the bloodline but i think the ending of raw was great i like listen i i think royce keys i believe is on the stadium club checklist as an autograph i gotta check but like he does not have wwe autographs yet in product everybody else obviously does they've all signed a million times but royce keys is really the wild card here and if he's being presented as like the next challenger for roman reigns as like it's not gonna happen at war games but maybe it's the royal rumble maybe it's something else like that's huge for his cards he has aew cards but nothing for wwe outside of universe yeah correct not not anything for for wwe and i remember coming out of royal rumble this year in saudi arabia where really the story was obafemi it was not royce keys' debut so correct it really it was definitely overshadowed by that i i think they let's just be honest the crowd just was dead during that anyway so but if if they had any intentions for royce keys to get over there it obviously was trumped by what oba did in that match so yeah and then again like we had a number of really good matches you had lyra valkyria and eo you had bron breaker and penta putting on a banger penta again like bron breakker is like the whipping boy at this point he's lost like four matches in a row but gable and dragon lee and rey mysterio i mean like rey mysterio is like fifth in his mid fifties like mid to late fifties he's putting on still putting on these it was it was great what it was an awesome run i i was not looking at the clock at all and like i mean like you said earlier like you gotta have great walls right now when you're going up against monday night football because i'm gonna be honest with you monday night football takes present to me if i have fantasy players or my vikings or josh allen are in it but that's the tension you have to get people to come watch this because it's monday night football and if it's a good matchup last night division rivalry close game tough finish that's why it's like me i'm putting you know monday night first then i'm watching raw or i'm going in to watch this stuff so again putting these raws on right now is huge to the football people like myself and many others who are all into football may it be fantasy fan teams or sports betting so kudos to wwe for continuously putting really good roles out in the low of wrestling right now which crazy to think we're only three and a half months away from royal rumble dude that's crazy that's nuts it's flown by flown by alright let's let's cover some some card market high spots here because stadium club comes out by the time you guys are listening to this it'll be on the market most people have their cases in hand already but topps has been loading up the previews on instagram they've opened a topps wrestling channel on instagram make sure you go check it out they post so much stuff and it's great to have the focus of fanatics and their instagram and their social media giving us all of this stuff because we got a ton of stuff we got looks at the beam team we've got looks at the base cars we've got looks at the inserts i mean we we literally have a very good picture of what to expect which absolutely should be the standard going forward if you're going to release a product you need to build the hype regardless if it sucks or not stadium club is not gonna suck but this this was really well done the way they've built this up on social media so first things first the current hobbybox price and yeah we'll talk about that in a second the the current hobbybox price is two hundred and fifty dollars that i was looking at blowout just before like like yesterday so it may have changed in the twenty four hours since i've learned this but and it by the time it gets to be friday because we're recording on tuesday it may have changed as of our recording is two hundred forty nine bucks two autographs of box according to wax metrics slab squatch we're looking at about a forty five hundred case run which is huge and the case hit for this that everybody's really gonna be chasing is is beam team and we've talked about that a few times on the podcast already and how cool those cards are we got our first look at them and i'll i'll go back a slide just so you have a visual reference like they chose really good photos they chose a a very clear throwback design with the old stadium club logo which is perfect and i love it i love the beam team i love what they're doing for the case it's about one per case maybe two per case if you're lucky one in a hundred ninety two packs so you've now seen this roman reigns autograph which is pure aura in the form of a trading card it is absolutely amazing i they sent over the becky lynch photo as well she's got an amazing looking base card not a base autograph though which i'm sad about but yeah i i like i'm very excited for this set i it took a lot for me to get excited because it's not like this higher end type of set but it it's gonna be a collector friendly set and i i can't wait this is the perfect set for like a binder like if you're gonna build a binder with a bunch of cards in it this is the set to do it well this is what we did in nineteen ninety one when baseball came out i still have the binder my dad built the set in ninety one i told him never selling it because of my dad thought it was gonna be revolutionary and it really is in what it says i mean if you love photos and let's be honest wrestling is so big around photos you need to have great photos this is the perfect product for wrestling i'm shocked it's taken them this long to make this product in all the years they've had stadium club in the what what are we thirty five years nineteen eighty one yeah thirty five years and obviously we got wrestling tops in the two thousands or whatever but wow looks great this roman reigns is incredible i wanna go back and buy roman reigns and breaks down just to yeah just to pull one of these but let me ask you this from a speculative collector standpoint i know she's been a challenge to get to do a lot of autographs this year are you from the financial standpoint you gotta be thrilled but you gotta be a little disappointed that you're not gonna have any autos over no she does have an autograph she has a dual autograph with seth yeah she has a dual autograph with seth which is out of be out of twenty five she has a main stage autograph plate don't have this auto not the base auto which you would love which i would love because look at this photo i mean like so if you're if you're listening to this and you and you joined the hobby during the panini era like you saw kind of what this could be in photogenic but photogenic is panini's answer to stadium club it's not the other way around stadium club came back to baseball in twenty fourteen after being gone for a number of years because it's in the early two thousands they sort of cut it yeah they cut it off they brought it back into two thousand eight briefly then twenty fourteen it was came back as in its current format they brought in the chrome inserts they brought in all this stuff so like yeah like like you want to collect this set and the photos have always been a focus if you follow sue's on twitter she used to do the photos for this when she worked at top she's now at cgc so i mean like they've really sort of moved out of this like oh we're gonna do you know premium stock whatever like every set has that now so it's not unique now we're using the photography for baseball and cool things like we're gonna go search the archives we're gonna go to getty images we're gonna get everything we can in the best possible way and present the players or in this case the wrestlers in their most iconic or cool little like the the tiffany stratton photo is her taking a picture which is always like a standard of using some sort of like technology like that on a card in stadium club whether it's like an old cell phone or something but like you know either way i i really like i mean like it's really cool it's a really cool cool and unique present presentation for assad yeah i'm excited i we're definitely ripping the case on friday i was actually telling my wife because she works today on tuesdays that what's the next thing we're ripping i'm like stadium club w because tyson was talking about today he's like i'm actually excited i think two fifty for these little high it's very high it is i i don't think it's gonna get to two hundred i really don't it just does how universe was handled how there just wasn't much to get out there onto the re i don't know allocation base let's just talk about that so i think this will trend around the two and a quarter two fifty i know it's a little higher than what we wanted but it's first of its kind i'm excited about it it's two on card autos the what you can get out of it the case hits the the cosigners everything the photography i've already grabbed spots and breaks with several people you have as well i'm sure i'm excited about this i universe i think the thing about universe i love the universe i love the case hits this year i didn't go as as heavy because let's be honest two universes in one year was enough for me and i think you can agree to that so i took a step back and said i'm not gonna go as heavy i just went out and bought the cases i wanted this is one i'm gonna go a little more heavy with ripping basically with the five or six people that i rip with and and then besides i have to rip cases and stuff so yeah i mean like i i'm not like i'm not gonna go buy a hundred cases it's like i'm not like it's not chrome where it's like that's my jam it has chrome cards becky has chrome cards and stuff like that but it's just not my jam but it's all like i i'm gonna buy cases because it's fun but i think the the overall understanding here for me at least is that this is a collector's set it's not gonna be the one that you go and you flip for thousands and thousands of dollars there will be chase cards we've seen rhea's inscriptions we've seen jacob fatou do inscriptions we've seen all of these different things that are that they're trying to create some level of a chase but it's not the chase that chrome or royalty or anything it's like there's no john cena wrestlemania patch autograph in this set and that's okay not every set has that and i think and here's and and i i have a section here coming up that i think will highlight this a little bit further i've seen people online since twenty twenty five complain about wax prices wax prices are too high wax prices are too high i can't buy wwe products anymore wax prices are too high then the only way to fix that is you either purposefully inflate the the print run which they're doing here or you dilute things and all these other things and then those people are like well now it's not a a valuable product well you can't you either have to like there's there's not a way to have your cake and eat it too like you have to be able to like balance that and i think for a lot of the the sets like universe at two twenty five it's high let me ask you this on universe how many cases did they make you know i think like three thirty five hundred four thousand so this is even more than that so this is more but i'm telling you that one was difficult for me to go out and find more get more i got no wave twos on them i had to go to other avenues it was a challenge there's a little bit more of this that's what i'm trying to explain from my standpoint being on the inside there is a lot more of this yeah there is a lot more and the one thing i will say what adam is probably getting to is the retail skews i'm being honest with you those megas are in universe bangers we've seen some stuff now for this too this too so grab the megas grab the blasters and that's gonna be an affordable way of doing it because your shops are supposed to be srp in the blasters what i believe is probably twenty five bucks so put it in perspective we didn't get much for blasters i went out and paid somebody twenty five bucks a box for the blasters to get more of it just so i could have it for down the road yeah and like that's what so the blasters and the the the mega box has become the new hobby box and i think like the more people come to understand that the easier it will be to grasp that if you're ripping hobby boxes you're ripping a premium format now in a lot of ways but i think like i've seen people like yelling and screaming online like how could you number an autograph to six hundred like that's so stupid i was like well if you want them to cut production you want them to make fifteen hundred or twenty five hundred even cases of this then it's not gonna be two hundred fifty dollars it's gonna be four hundred and fifty dollars and because the demand in our space is so insane right now the hobby is is insane across the board still even though there's been signs of certain things slowing down there is zero signs of slowing down for wax it's not gonna happen in wrestling for a while especially when there's only six to eight different skews that they release every year so like if you're saying i i don't want a high print run product but i also don't want low but i also don't want high cost wax like there's there's it's a paradox like you have to have one or the other and until tops magically waves a wand and removes the demand and i don't think i want that to happen either like i don't want there to be less demand because then the cards aren't as valuable the equity in my collection isn't as good as it as it is right now so i mean like there's there's like all of these double edged swords like yes i want cheaper cards for my pc but i also want my pc to be more valuable can't have both of those things be true i want lower priced wrestling wax but i also want you know the cards that i pull out of the wax to be valuable you can't have really those two things be true at some point can eat it too right right that's what i'm saying so i mean like it's really difficult for me as as somebody who's reading these comments on social media and seeing people freak out over these things without them realizing it's like talking to a flat earther it's like yes i you you need to understand that these things both cannot be true and it's just like it's really hard to help people grasp the how and the why and that's i think why we've had tim trout on this podcast come on and talk about how top is approaching it so with that i built a pyramid of the product hierarchy and i think that and i this is a pyramid of how things are built so at the bottom of the pyramid you have an entry level product it's not gonna cost as much it's the biggest print run low to mid range box cost few chase hits focused on availability and cost to buy for mass accessibility and production k that's entry level and i'll tell and i have product examples in the next slide so don't jump in quite yet then above that you have a premium product which is still a bigger run but the box costs are mid range chase hits are are kind of limited because if in the in that lower tier of the pyramid there's not gonna be very many chase hits there's not gonna be like five six ten thousand dollar cards in the premium products some of those things are gonna exist as you get up into the premium the super premium tiers of this pyramid you're gonna have a lower run you're gonna have a higher box cost you have exclusive configurations you have big chase hits but you'll also have still those low floor hits as well so like in royalty which we'll get to here in a second is like you have these massive like ten fifteen twenty three hundred thousand dollar cards but you also still have cards that cost like fifty bucks right yep and then the top of the pyramid is like this ultra premium which is like a tiny print run highest box cost it's the top hits available so so if you look at this from the perspective of like what those products sort of align to on the bottom tier you have the last two releases you have universe and stadium club which are entry meant to be entry level products topps is pricing them at a hundred and fifty or a hundred and thirty bucks you have omegas you have your value boxes maybe there's something else coming heritage or flagship i don't know those are meant to be entry level they're meant to be accessible right so that's why i think people are getting this confusion i don't know what your reaction here is no i think the entry i think you spot on based on what we've had come out thus far i mean universe and sam club both fit that and then obviously the the blaster and mega skews for chrome and and all that other stuff no i think that's the what topps is trying to do is get more they need these entry level products they understand that that's gonna grab more people to wrestling which is needing more people to collect how is he gonna do that people can't afford royalty or delight or obviously dynasty when they get it i mean that's more of a breaking thing or people that wanna rip high end stuff so i am all for it see if you think about me i i love ripping everything from the entry to the ultra premium i love it all i'm into it all because i'm a fanatic and i have issues and i hear voices in my head so if you're looking to see the graphics that i'm presenting go premium products like chrome was about two hundred fifty dollars a box the delight skews will be in the upper tier now because it's like seven hundred dollars box to rip a bike box of delight or like something like sapphire and royalty which are like five and six hundred dollars a box royalty being twelve hundred almost and the super premium tier and the ultra premium tier being like transcendent and dynasty like when dynasty comes out i i legit yeah when when dynasty comes out when that happens i'm not sure or even transcend i'm legitimately frightened to see the community's reaction like i'm legitimately i like i think there's gonna be a reckoning here so like people are like a thousand dollars for one wwe card get ready guys it's coming yep so i don't know like a thousand dollars that might be in the low end i'm being honest i mean if you look at maybe you look at the way dynasty is priced it up what baseball is three thousand a box worth it's ridiculous not what it costs to just rip a dynasty but that's it right that's the market dictating it we know the way they've been talking dynasty wrestling up since getting this deal back and this was commercials airing early you know of twenty five yeah january twenty twenty that that one commercial and they were showing dynasty and everybody's like wait we're getting dynasty well guys we're almost at twenty seven we still on dynasty i know there's a lot more things with it to get to that point but this is a product they're not gonna be able to make every year this is gonna be what every maybe every other year product if everything goes well so people waiting and aching like myself like adam like other people this is gonna drive up and it's gonna be a different breed because we've never seen dynasty for wrestling and they're gonna be high high end premium cards yeah and like i've been waiting for dynasty they they put it in top slam like the digital cards a while ago but i've been waiting for this since since i joined the like dynasty's been around in baseball for a long long time yep and it's my favorite it's one of my favorite sets that is not chrome like my collection is mostly chrome and shiny cards but if there was a dynasty like set and it featured people that i collect oh my god look out so but i think like like topps is pricing these products on their website now whether those boxes are accessible because it's hard to win the aql or what that we'll get to that in another time but i'm just saying like people are upset like oh it's two hundred and fifty dollars a box blame the people who are pulling those prices from betwixt their cheeks and just being like oh we're gonna slap a two hundred and fifty dollar price tag on this like you didn't need to do that like universe i think settled in at a hundred and seventy five two hundred bucks by release like it's hovered around there it's gone up a little bit because people are ripping it and ripping it and ripping it it's been out for a month now we just crossed a month and it's still around that price like i get why they can do that i the market can support a two hundred fifty dollar box of stadium club whether or not you wanna rip a two hundred dollar box two hundred fifty dollar box of stadium club is probably a little bit different but that's like you you can't like people are just like oh just keep the breakers away from it and keep this like no there's an ecosystem here and topps is not gonna you know chop off their legs to spite their face or whatever that is cut off their nose to spite their face like it's just not gonna happen live in reality here guys like i would love to say that you could get these boxes for cheap how long were they up on the website when for preorder it was up for a while wasn't it i i didn't even i i'm so behind on those anymore i don't even try to get in them i'm just yeah with life i don't know what's going on yeah yeah i i mean what was it one thirty a box it was something like that it was like one twenty nine ninety nine or whatever and they were up there for a while like i heard people saying like they got boxes for a while so i can't help if you're not gonna buy it when it's available and then i but i also don't like that the secondary retailers are jacking up the cost by a ridiculous margin yeah i'll i'll have a better idea where it's at obviously going into this weekend how it's gonna perform it's hard to tell in a friday release the weekends are weird it could be going the other way but then it really could change like universe started doing this and then next thing you know boom started going like real quick and then we're not talking like a ton of money but just studying it because i'm like i wanna buy more i'm trying to get in to buy more where i think hey is this the bottom and i should have bought more where it was because then it just went right up because there just wasn't as much available i know the hobby shops are getting less and less so it's not readily available as it has been in the past so we try to carry as much of it to be you know that i mean you saw firsthand how much of it we have here so i'm about the long term of this stuff to have it for my customers so i gotta find where i can go buy it to still offer a fair price i don't know if it will get if this two fifty will hold it seems high i don't think we go under two hundred though that's my thoughts yeah i think it's just hard to expect that a hobby box in these days is going like i remember back ripping football like if you had a box under a hundred bucks like panini produced like eight to ten products a year that were literally a hundred to a hundred and twenty dollars and they just they just sat there and like i stopped ripping those products because they all blurred together like you i i was like it's literally not nt and it's not like donris it's like this middle road two thousand eight two thousand nine product every box cost a hundred bucks that's kind of where we are with with hobby boxes now across every sport and i think you're gonna be lucky to find hobby boxes at two hundred bucks which is why the megas and value boxes the blasters have really sort of taken off because topps recognizes that too and they've put exclusive parallels they've put autographs they've put case hits they've put everything to the point where i think if you go back to a twenty sixteen or twenty seventeen and you look at like a color blast or whatever you're likely ripping as many megabox cases and pulling as many of those color blast now as you used to back in hobby cases back then it's like that whole era of like the megabox being like this crappy retail format does has changed a lot like recently like you must know this more than anybody with how many you stock and how much your customers come in and rip them right yeah no mega box is key let me let me use this for example topps knows that getting these quality hits in retail is huge because they understand that's where the intermediate's gonna be and i'm not just using wrestling for example this is everything this is everything i mean let's be honest getter i don't know if you saw this i'm sure you have not only did the abraham lincoln come cut come out of a fat pack i guess a fat pack which is the lowest and lowest skews to get so did the babe ruth yeah i saw that in walmart somebody pulled it at walmart yeah so topps knows and they're try not saying they're taking the best stuff putting it there but they understand hey we wanna grab as many collectors and how are we gonna do that putting it in these retail skews to where more people can afford to rip that and the yes the odds are much much harder because there is more of them but it's getting those people into collecting and that's gonna change somebody's mindset to collect going forward and now i guarantee you once people saw not only the lincoln but the babe ruth they're like rushing to their stores buy every fat pack you can find fat packs aren't always the easiest sellers they're probably the hardest of the excuse to sell and i guarantee you you're not gonna find and get our fat packs out there right now if if that's the case yeah i think like the the whole idea that retail is crap is like it's partially true i mean like it used to be you never touch retail packs like you i i remember growing up in this hobby and and just walking past the card aisle at target and walmart and just being like i i i'm not touching any of this but now because of the exclusive parallels because of the way that the i mean like look at select twenty two through twenty four in wwe mhmm it's like a whole another product like they they panini literally built out select to be retail and hobby as almost like two separate products yep and it's it was awesome i ripped so much select retail i ripped more select retail than i ripped select hobby because it like i love the tigers and and all the you have the mezzanines in there and you got the tigers yep yep they did things that you could only get in the retail which was awesome yep so i think like going forward yes we all want accessibility i think the key word here is accessibility the the challenge that we're facing is that it's really difficult with the amount of demand so alright let's move on to some big sales here so oh and i i did i didn't put a slide in here on the psa theft i don't i i don't know if you wanna talk about that at all but the like there was about a million dollars worth of cards stolen out of a fedex truck parked outside of the psa headquarters that the guy left alone for sixty minutes or whatever the reporting is that i've seen but like yeah i'm not i don't think we need to talk about other than like there were some wrestling collectors especially some roman reigns collectors that had a bunch of cards stolen i feel really bad for them so hopefully they get taken care of okay for the record if you're stealing these cards and majority of them obviously you don't know what you're stealing when you're stealing but majority of these cards are serial numbered or whatever how are you gonna how is that gonna work are you just gonna throw them away like because i mean you can't once you go to try to resell them it's gonna raise i mean enough people in this industry now and social media it's gonna catch on real quick because this has taken off and psa deactivated all the certs too so like yeah i mean like you're in they notified all the auction houses like like there's now the heat is on and like you can crack the unnumbered ones but that's minimal amount of value there i had cards stolen from fedex i do not use fedex anymore i refuse to use fedex anymore because of what happened to me with a becky lynch rainbow that was stolen like this isn't new and i think it's getting and i flew to st louis to deliver some cards to to ryan because this i did not wanna risk it there was too much money involved and i think the more that you guys recognize that there's some challenge there the better i think just be be educated right yep it's unfortunate i feel bad for the people that they're so sold that sucks i mean it's awful it feels so bad and there's nothing you can do it's gone like those cards are gone so big sales the roxanne perez garbage pail kids superfractor sold on fanatics weekly sold for five thousand seven hundred and sixty dollars roxy's stuff i think was probably bid up ahead of money in the bank i think she's been put on ice a little bit but not not too much she's i think the the reporting was that her and liv are the slated women's world title match for wrestlemania forty three that's the direction that they're here liv's gonna hold the bell this time she's gonna hold till wrestlemania you've gotta be so thrilled right now man i'm beyond thrilled but this card this card is awesome i think the garbage pail supers are insane they're so cool and i think somebody got a deal on this one it's cgc authentic so my only thing for people who are sending cards to an auction house get them graded first because these fanatics golden all the major auction houses require some sort of grading authority to take a look at these cards putting them in the cgc authentic like top loaders doesn't do them any favors even if it's an authentic grade just get them graded if you're gonna send them to one of the big auction houses that's my only advice i think that got hurt here yeah okay i mean both these are creating what eights or nines for the most part but still you wanna get in that holder i know it costs so much more to go to psa but these cgc are just they're not grading the cards you have no idea if there's any damage whatsoever yeah they're just labeled as authentic yes they're in like semi rigid they get them back in semi it's terrible this this is the john cena triple relic wwe logo and face and everything it's not the autograph version this is from the universe sold via auction on ebay for fifty one hundred dollars this is one of the most insane relics i've ever seen put into a card tim talked about this when he was on about these triple relics and how they specifically sought out pieces to put in these cards that looked awesome i've seen the becky lynch it's amazing fifty one hundred dollars this is a mid four figures for a nonautograph john cena logo card it looks really cool but wow yeah i remember this surface i had a couple people reach out because i guess the guy was shopping around he hit in a break and he was quoting people like twenty five grand i think at the time and i think my projections were like low in three high in five and it seems like i was pretty much spot on knowing where it would if it got paid for which what does it look like it did on your end yeah i mean it was it was won by like an eight hundred feedback account okay so i mean it looks it looks on the surface it looks like it's legit it was pulled by minnesota breaker triple diamond i know them pretty well so congrats to them but this card i mean the universe stuff is is great love the way it looks it's a it's a statement making card but five thousand dollars for a relic only is really good a new new territory for wwe in a lot of ways this is the penta i think this is the logo fracture logo fracture yes it should be logo factor yeah it it wasn't labeled as such in the auction listing but with the supers and the autographs you can't really tell anyways this has multiple inscriptions on it it's a cabrones zero miedo like you name it it's a card called awesome great photo this is the like the the logo fracture photos i think were most of the time better than the hobby photos and this one is great sold for thirty three hundred ninety four dollars via best offer on ebay i want like i i have a general idea of who probably bought it we've been talking with them recently but i think the the idea that people are starting to bake in this this championship win is is now a reality huge price on this card but i mean it's so good i mean it's so good like this card is awesome it's one it's rvd it's one of a kind yeah i wanted to spend a tiny bit of time on this card as well this isn't a one of one or anything like that but it was it it definitely caught my eye this is the twenty yeah this is the twenty twenty six tops cosmic chrome aj lee pluto planetary pursuit card it went for three thousand dollars via fixed price on ebay i just completed the solar system for becky lynch i got the pluto in from somebody who pulled one in a break i traded him some really nice stuff and it like having all of those cards side by side and there's been a few people i've seen the cena i've seen hendry i've seen gunnar got the cody one like we're talking there's probably four or five of complete solar systems out there i got one of them this past week they they look awesome together and and and like i cannot wait to potentially even get this framed or something but three thousand dollars for pluto i think people are of the impression there's only like two of these i think there's more but there's not many congrats by the way on your becky that's awesome i know i've already congratulated you once but do you think there's what five of these is that what you think k yeah five that's what i figured i think neptune is probably probably seven to ten k and you're never gonna know like tops is never gonna come out and say oh there's this many of these they're meant to be like the a a question mark around this stuff so i know i think three thousand dollars is is awesome i think john cena went for more than this i think centimeters punk went for more than this rollins went for like eighteen hundred only i think i saw so like there are people who are like predicting huge crashes for these cards i think the outer planets are likely not gonna surface enough for that to happen the the inner planets have already crashed and we we knew that was gonna happen because there's like five hundred of the sun right there's like you know a thousand of whatever but these pluto are very rare i've only seen maybe two per wrestler be pulled which means there's probably another two to three in packs these are exceptionally rare cards and in other sports like a victor wem and yamamoto is like a thirty thousand dollar card right so i think it just didn't catch on as much at in wrestling but just as a heads up alright i put this one on here for you somebody stole this this is a topps transcendent twenty nineteen mister vince they listed as mister vince mcmahon but it's a vince mcmahon auto it's labeled as mister mcmahon on the card sold for two thousand dollars mint nine auto eight psa via auction on ebay these cards have been selling well above this somebody got an absolute steal great buy yeah and i know you've been picking them up been picking them off because you you see a huge future in these cards mcmahon is not gonna sign again like the what is out there is is what there is he might get leaf autographs or something like that if if they can manage to get him to sign but no that's not a big man that's for an antique yeah exactly yeah autographs are terrible this is actually a pretty good autograph by vincent's bandstand this is but only two thousand dollars like i i would have expected this to be a four thousand dollar card at this point what have you you've been i think you've picked off a few of them in the last few months i don't know what you're buying this i haven't bought one in a bit but i went on a little streak there whenever things were down obviously the documentary is out and the yeah the talk about the bedroom whatever he did behind closed doors i was still buying them i was like you know what who wants to dump them right now because at the end of the day wwe isn't wwf without this man you know his dad was important but not as important as vincent kennedy mcnamara has there not been a cut autograph of vince mcmahon i don't know you would think they would they just not exist i've i mean they've gotta exist they got they there's a hundred percent they've gotta exist i don't know topps if you're listening we gotta make it happen yeah and that'd be kinda cool to do i again you're never gonna see another vincent man i don't think as much as i i actually don't want it to happen again just because i wanna make these more rare because they are rare i mean we did transcend and he did fully loaded right so there's there's fifty five i so it's twenty five either way there's there's like fifty five per year for years because every because they had fifty three years fifty five per year because they had fifty cases and there's like five that they kept back for quality i'm sure so like each year of transcendent had fifty cases each case had an autograph there were two one of ones in each year and so oh that would be three so fifty two either way i think if you add these in plus the forty they did in fully loaded like he's maybe got two less than two hundred autographs licensed on the market there's not it's a population of zero yeah so i i'm i'm still looking for more i think i have like eight or nine i want more i want more i don't blame you i just i'm not like i i like vince vince mcmahon just not my thing but it's just like hulk hogan that like whole thing is like just not my thing but like at like like hulk hogan like wrestling isn't what it is today without them so correct alright let's close this out i promised you an hour we're gonna record breaking maybe today yeah i i for a title match topic we'll close this out with this question if somebody is just getting into wwe cards in this new boom like g within the last you know couple of years here what advice are you giving them right off the bat i think it's advice i give to everybody you know tip you know tip for yourself start slow it's addicting it's gonna take you by storm don't think whoever you're gonna collect today is who you're gonna collect tomorrow always go to where it's affordable what buy within your means because once you start discovering what's out there and all these cards that you didn't know existed are out there and oh by the way the greatest card community there is the wrestling card community you're gonna find that it's it's so fun to collect but you gotta just take a seat back and enjoy because i know let's be honest i've been around this a long time you've been around we've seen people dive into this hobby not just wrestling in general and just get taken by storm and they're in and out in three months because they have racked up their credit cards by ripping or buying cards and now it's going to whatnot or fanatics i mean it's one of those things where you just gotta control yourself because it's so fun and that's the issue it's so fun but it consumes you and i've been doing this a long time and again you have as well i've gotten better throughout the years i've learned to balance life and everything but just be prepared because as much as it's fun it's very very very addicting yeah i i think you you touched on a few things there i i would my advice is is pretty simple once you get past sort of like how you get to the cards because it's like everybody is like don't buy like everybody's like go collect what you love and blah blah blah like yeah fine but i think the like it's probably a good place to stay away from the whatnots of the world and just get into it gradually to your point like whatnot is designed to be like click that button slide that that bar hour twenty four seven seconds hour yeah yeah and it's meant to keep you going and the the the people that run the channels have become very good at engaging with their audience to get them to a point of fomo and like oh if i don't swipe now or if i if my my timer's only at one second like those are the types of things that are designed to drag you in and not let you out you won't get a breath in and i think that's where wwe traditionally is very different because we are not a flipping collecting community we are like if you go into football if you go into baseball if you're coming from those like your expectation is like i'm doing this to make money most of the wwe collectors aren't like immune to that right we we still wanna flip and sell to fund our pcs but the pc is the reason we're here and i think that's what's different about wwe in a lot of ways but also the collecting style is different like you don't have people like ryan and and i and others who collect one person or a couple people like super collecting the same way in other sports sure you have the guy who collects wilson contreras and you got you have like the guy who collects mark brunell or whatever the hell his name was like jada rock brunell or whatever yeah yeah like you have super collectors that exist but they're usually like people who super collect like really obscure players that very few people collect that they can corner the market it you're not going out there and like super collecting michael jordan like you're not going out there and super collecting you know tom brady it's like you can collect those people and buy cards for those people but it's just there's too much it's too expensive most people don't have the funds to do that they collect a very specific part of things or whatever in wrestling because there's not as much of a a scale yet like you can go in and start cornering markets on specific people and they can be really top level talent like a randy orton or becky lynch right so i think like understanding that and recognizing that it's not built around rookies it's not built around like opa femy and tiffany stratton and stephanie vaquer are exceptions to the rule they are not the rule people don't go in there and buy the prospects the way that they do in baseball like your bronco nima and lucian price who just got called up as part of nine four six like they were not heavily collected prior to their call in fact i would say they were actively not collected yep because they were nobodies and until you make it on tv and wrestling it's very different in that respect so to ryan's point like take it slow understand that there are so many differences and i actually told this to somebody on instagram a couple of days ago like yeah i i wanna believe that these people will be valuable that's why when we did buy sell hold last week there were a lot of like hey we're we're probably sellers here we're probably in between buy or hold because we know the way that collectors function and more importantly than that when people come in and they start getting exposed as they're indoctrinated very quickly into the way the wrestling community views these individual wrestlers right yeah and and the one thing got in the mirror with wrestling longevity much longer careers initially than other sports where you could prospect a guy and let's just say he's a minor league baseball player yeah some guys take a lot longer some guys are up quick i mean we're talking you could get a guy prospecting and it could take ten years before he ever becomes anything you know it may have to go to the indies may do something you know it's it's a longevity a penta yes penta perfect example and i mean randy orton next year's twenty one years yeah l yeah i mean that's a good one to talk about i mean look how long it took him to become where he you know and again these guys and girls you know guys majority because we've seen it ken russell like we mentioned earlier rey mysterio is in his mid fifties still out there throwing out banker matches i know he's been doing this for what how many years almost forty thirty five it's insane man i mean it's it's like undertaker forever longevity now ric flair on the other hand needs to stop hopefully he's done so but again you can have that longevity and you're gonna have a roller coaster ride with these wrestlers their gimmick's going through chains throughout the years always does yeah that's another that's a good point like the gimmick the longevity of the gimmick is kinda like derek jeter was a yankee his entire career and it really contributed to him gaining the the icon status that he was i feel like if he was a shortstop in pittsburgh he'd be an all star but he wouldn't be who he is and i think like you know when you're when you're looking at the the longevity of wrestlers and stuff like that it's it's a very similar type of thing like if you're in the same gimmick for this for a long time and people have come to appreciate it john cena is a great example of that like yeah that's that's easy i mean even stone cold like flipped gimmicks a couple of times did like the you know he was the rattlesnake and then he was kinda like the heel and then he was like you know he just kind of what yeah what oh god yeah but you know undertaker is probably the only example of somebody who's changed gimmicks from you know the dead man the american bad ass to all these other things and people collectors still gravitate towards all of those dead man the disciple one that was pretty yeah that was a lot of aspects of it but i think i think that's a good point it's like there's a lot of longevity there but if you look at somebody like chad gable who's wrestled for a long long time yep now performing at a very high level on tv he has no value be even though he's got a title the first title in his career like he's got banger match after banger match i mean he's wrestling the same type of people every week but you know it's like those that doesn't resonate the same way like if case keenum goes out and has a wonderful season with the minnesota vikings and ends on this miracle play like their his value is going to increase exponentially in today's hobby in wrestling that doesn't necessarily equate the same way so i think that there's all of these different nuances of like getting into wwe and understanding the way we collect that is so important for people to recognize and and have that in the forefront of their mindset when they're just starting out the last thing i wanna talk about is like the breaks because wrestling unlike sports and entertainment even pokemon whatever people in those sports still very much go to their card shops and rip and rip and rip and rip wrestling is is is almost exclusively broken through breakers and sure there are people out there who do a lot of personal hobby boxes and mega box and blasters but the hobby cases by and large in a humongous clip are done by breakers and so i think like it's a little bit different so like if you want access to the good stuff if you want to have and it's and for people like us who only collect one person i don't need to rip a whole case of stadium club woah woah woah i collect more than one let's be honest okay you're a bad example but you know like you know if i'm only looking for becky lynch cards like i like having that slot available in case breaks is is really key for somebody like me because i can get a whole case worth of becky lynch boom or bust and or or you can do twenty cases like troy's doing which is great so that like that twenty cases of stadium club athletics culture i love the balls on that that's that's a lot and i really cannot wait to watch that back because it's gonna be awesome he said they're gonna have like four or five people ripping it once it's gonna be interesting but i i i'm all in for packs i mean let's be honest troy was one of the guys that we break with i mean there's only a list of people you and i both break with anymore and and i'm not gonna drop who their names are because they're all you guys probably know them for the most part but it gets to the point where it's all we go back to people getting in a hobby whereas if you go to whatnot there's how many streams with wrestling it's like eighty yeah oh golly and i just and you know kart shop live we know does a great job there's you know people on there that do a really good job but i got to the point and you and i both have kinda taken this approach where like we're gonna break with these set of people and we know that every release this is our focus now royalty was an anomaly topps chrome was a little different for us because we're like we were feening for both those products so we're grabbing a little bit more but i think it's got to the point where i've taken the approach for me and this new collectors what we're talking about where i'm like hey i'm gonna join with these people and these breaks and if i don't hit those cards i want i'm just gonna go buy them i'm not gonna keep trying and trying and trying till i do and i think you've taken a step back on that as well yeah i i don't i i don't think i i did maybe five or six cases of universe breaks it wasn't much you're saying and i still i still only have probably three autographs from universe like i don't have a lot i bought the slammed card i didn't hit it i hit i got lucky i got lucky and hit the flash point and i think i hit the alias so i did like enough to just get a nice lather going but like i didn't i didn't like get fully i didn't get fully baked in universe i skipped exalted i skip i'm skipping products like i'm not yeah like i'll do i'll do a a couple of breaks because it just gets to be a lot but i think i have deleted the whatnot app i just cannot support that anymore i'm focusing on pro breakers so you mentioned like yeah there are great breakers on the whatnot platform like i'm not trying to lump people in with bad people but there's a lot of bad people and whatnot there's a lot of good people and whatnot too you mentioned card shop live but i'm breaking with the pros now i'm breaking with people who do this professionally with multiple camera angles multiple cameras in their security their their shipping departments like i if i'm giving you thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars you better earn my business with if my card goes missing in the shipping process and i call you and figure out wanna figure out where where it's going like that's literally what the the pro breakers are forced to do now is they have cameras literally everywhere because cards are no longer a cheap commodity they are an asset in a lot of different ways and i want that trust level so the breakers that i break with now almost exclusively are the pros yeah that's something just device there i mean i'd say you have to do what we do but for for us who used to go head over crazy i mean adam had talked about how many breaks he was in was yeah astronomical i learned my lesson in your in your mailbox be full and you need to use your neighbor's mailbox but no i mean it's i i think we both have taken a step back but i think there will be releases that really get us going and dynasty will be one even though it'd be costly but that's gonna be the better approach for somebody like us who just want our wrestlers or just gonna go buy those wrestlers as long as they're on the especially oh my god like that like five boxes a case five cards you there's gonna be a lot of skunks that's to be tough but i think like for like stadium club like stadium club's meant to be ripped and enjoyed and like like we said put in a binder but like universe like it's a little bit of a mix of both it's kinda like that flagship tops product but yeah man i mean like i've i i'm not gonna go and and rip a hundred
