the shop earlier this summer when they had him mattellus cashman and what was it one other one i think they had so i i miss ryker because i went to lunch whenever ryker was there i wish i would have met the future hall of famer and mvp of the league he's i i criticize them for that draft pick and then like now yeah you never know when it comes to these things i criticize him for jj mccarthy and rightfully a little bit of that you deserved that deserved criticism i remember i went on that rant about earlier this year and i went on a when i cut a promo and going off on the viking with jj mccarthy i guess they finally heard that promo so yeah that there there are many qbs from that draft class that are performing well except for caleb williams so anyways onto wrestling because we are less than a couple by the time this airs it is the day of money in the bank let's get into some of the opening pyro because we got a lot to talk about from i mean like i i solicited some listener q and a so that's gonna be happening here after we get through some wrestling talk we got a ton of responses so i don't know any questions i don't know anything so it's gonna be like a rapid fire so here we go we got some good ones alright let's let's talk about some wrestling news because i just gotta say like raw as a recording happened last night and i i watch i sat down and watched raw because i knew that the becky lynch and liv morgan match was gonna main event so i was like okay i better just watch this whole episode my kids went to bed had a great opportunity to sit down and really enjoy it i gotta say so they opened the show with la knight which transitioned into a roman reigns promo i i as if i didn't think la knight had less of a chance coming into this match after that promo on raw i think he's pretty much a zero chance of beating roman reigns that roman promo i i haven't seen him cut loose like that in a promo in a long time and it just showed me why he is the tribal chief and why he commands the audience the way that he does what an epic promo la knight did his best to fire back but i mean you just couldn't you could not look at that promo and just be not completely enthralled with everything that roman reigns is about like that whole setup made me wanna see roman reigns absolutely beat the shit out of la knight and i like la knight a lot yeah no i mean honestly not many people can put la knight in their tracks like he can pound for pound go back and forth i i mean maybe a centimeters punk but roman reigns just he's come a long way since the times where he didn't cut a promo for anything all those schools all that time he is showing why we're witnessing greatness as a wrestler all the way around it phenomenal promo i got to watch it went back i watched a couple clips of it too unfortunately it was in my hometown st louis well kind of i'm in suburb of it but did not elect to go nathan went bsg nathan but i just did not wanna do a monday night going downtown with my kids having sports they would have to miss and oie gotta get my kid up early for what basketball camp this morning didn't think that was gonna go over well so but i don't miss too many when they come to st louis that one shannon was like disappointed why didn't we go and i said well there's no seth and no randy she goes oh you could've just loved it that would've been understanding you have to go i'm like thank you but i said honestly i just didn't wanna mess with going downtown plus i'll be at the same arena on sunday for the blues game so i just me going downtown like one time in two months is a lot going downtown two times in five days that's more than i could do so i'm good yeah and like and then like there there were a number of matches on this show like they they they did do a lot of wrestling on this show but they also had another sort of match that went into a promo so they had you know the the vision versus jovan and penta great match all around i the the match itself is inconsequential because they're just trying to set up this promo at the end which is obafemi you know speaking to bronson reed who's on the outside of the ring and all i gotta say is like this whole thing of keeping oba away from the title i i think can work but they have to give oba more of these types of situations where he's literally able to sit there and prove that not only can he wrestle not only can he do the things that make him a star but he can cut an insane promo the way that he did like that ending to that promo where it was like you know your your body belongs to the vision and your mind belongs to paul heyman but your ass belongs to me was just great and i i just i i love that i i he better win so i and then we we called the nonfinish in the number one contenders match great match on tv stephanie vakir gets involved so now it's a triple threat nothing really to report there other than that was a great match so just because money in the bank is today if you're listening to this on saturday let's go through what the betting favorites are because i don't think that there's many surprises that are favored here i have only one that i had differ on and that's the main men's money in the bank they have bron breakker as a betting favorite to win this match at at you've over you know jovan and penta and trick williams and a bunch of other people i think penta's gonna i i would like to see penta win but they they believe that bron breakker is gonna win curious if you agree with with that i think you do i i think breaker from a standpoint of what the briefcase stands for and it's better with a heel breaker makes sense i think it's one of those things where i think he's gonna be fully ready by the time he would cash in so i could see that now i do think it'd be awesome if trick williams got it and made it fir like we talked about so i could see trick getting an aura pinta i think i could see it going to either pinta or trick for a face and then breaker for there so i don't think you can go wrong with either of those three winning i think that trick is the one that hasn't had the opportunity to really prove it but i think he could stand in there in that moment he's got the crowd over on him pinta put on an absolute banger match in mexico against roman we know he can carry himself so yes i i think breaker makes the most sense but i am okay if it's one of those three winning because they make completes this i don't see why does punk need to win what does punk need the briefcase for javon's in there to be the bouncy guy do his thing plus he's too young he's not ready i don't think he can cut a promo for anything and then who's the other one am i missing right now kevin owens k o which don't really need it i kevin owens be cool to me to win but he doesn't need to so i think it's you gotta get somebody fresh and new and i think that's where one of these young guys or somebody like pitta who who needs that opportunity i i really would love to see kevin owens with the briefcase i want to see him with the title again i think he would be a tremendous they had their chance i know they did and they times i know i know and i don't know why sami zayn is the champion it doesn't make any sense other than the saudi arabia show that's coming up i hate it i hate it i hate it can we just talk for a second about this because this is getting annoying because not you the saudi arabia thing is controlling the storyline agreed because of money and it's taking away from wrestling it is frustrating and i'm not dogging sami zayn but it feels like every time we've got a piece to saudi arabia not us but like we're we're forced to endure what the storyline is because of saudi arabia so therefore people like kevin owens who deserve that moment don't get me wrong sami zayn deserved the first time he got the title did he deserve to lose after nine days no i don't think he did but did he deserve it the second time when kevin owens is right there for the taking what a comeback at summertime you got to witness what better opportunity at a peak to get in the title and poof sami zayn is with it again because now we're talking about saudi arabia yeah arabia just frustrating i just wanna take a second to air that out because i feel like we're losing the point of wrestling and good storylines to appease money yeah and i i think royal rumble in saudi arabia was horrific it was absolutely horrific and i think wrestlemania is gonna be horrific in saudi arabia goes if it goes and i hope it doesn't i i don't care if it's in vegas again i don't care where the cabinet is lying i'd go again go again i just i just don't want it i don't want obafemi to be crowned and have his coronation in saudi arabia because it just it it reduces it and from a collecting standpoint i think it it is a problem when you don't have the ability to really engage with the the events of wrestling i think it drives more than people think in the hobby is just like hey that's playoff season wrestlemania is the super bowl even if you're not going it still feels like something you're connected to so yes i agree with you a hundred percent and i think you you you made a really good point as it pertains to bron breakker i don't know how they play that one out and i it's like if bron breakker goes on to smackdown and starts wreaking havoc with a briefcase fine but you're not taking the belt off of roman reigns unless you're giving it to obafemi or somebody made a really bad decision somewhere down the road like bron breakker should not be champion while obafemi is chasing roman reigns that's just as much as i think bron breakker is awesome and i know brett doesn't like him and i say that every time but like i i do like bron breakker i think he is a really good heel and i think he's athletic as hell and i love what he brings in the ring his promo needs some work but obafemi needs to be the next champion in line and so where does that leave somebody with the briefcase so that means you have penta and brown breaker who are both on raw you have centimeters punk and kevin owens who are on smackdown and then you have trick williams who is already a champion like personally i would love to see trick williams with the briefcase i think that would be incredible i think he trick williams i think you can milk that almost a year with trick williams and just ride it and merchandise it and do things yeah to where trick you can let all these other storylines happen and trick uses it at the end that would be fine yeah agreed so for the women's i think you're in a similar predicament because roxanne perez awesome i love roxanne perez she does tremendous things in the ring but she's stuck in this judgment day vortex just like bron breakker stuck in the vision vortex and like there's all of these factions that are just keeping these people in instead of letting them out to do their their thing and i think collectors are starting to recognize too that when you have these people as secondary members of these factions then it's arguable whether bron breakker is the leader or if it's logan paul or bronson reed or whatever but roxanne perez is the betting favorite for for money in the bank she she's over everybody by i don't think there's anybody else who has a favorite status everybody else is like plus two hundred plus two fifty if not more i think lash legend is the second favorite in terms of the betting having her with a briefcase if trick has the briefcase too maybe that's an interesting because they're married okay but i i don't see the the the the same level of star power in lash legend that i do in roxanne perez or anything who can carry a feud by herself because if you put this briefcase in somebody's hands the idea is that they are the champion in waiting and i don't know if i don't know if flash legend is anywhere close to that i don't think solruka is there i don't think a lot of the people that are in this match are there i think roxanne perez can be there but you have to get her away from the judgment day which brings me to the triple threat so does this mean that they could potentially have liv morgan win the belt back from stephanie vicair and then that same night roxanne perez cashes in when you're on the same page yeah and there's this huge like sort of feud to to to sort of separate her from the from the fold that's a storyline i don't know if it's going to work as well as they think it will i think liv morgan doesn't need another championship so if they even think about having her stay with the title for any period of time is a bad idea but you know either way i don't think becky's gonna win i think the odds are that stephanie retains and that roxanne either tries and fails things to live and they break up the judgment day that way which could be a cool story to tell but i think roxanne perez is a tremendous wrestler i think she's great at promos she has this whole prodigy sort of thing she would be one of the youngest women's champions of all time awesome to see so that's just my thoughts here's the twist i was gonna say and i i don't dislike that my thoughts are what if you know you have roczen when you have this triple threat and all three girls beat the living piss out of one another then stephanie wins roxanne cashes in wins then therefore if you're holding a woman's title you're kind of the leader of the group now in my opinion then she jumps up and then all the attention goes on to her she's running the ship now she has a build in feud yeah yes so then there's there's a lot of options they can go with this if roxanne walks out if roxanne walks out it could be an immediate cash in success cash in and then you have a storyline to build upon that you would rather much rather see roxanne with the belt than obviously your girl liv so obviously you would love to see becky walk out but we i think we know that becky's i don't think she's gonna yeah i don't think that's she's you know she could be the take the pinfall or lib takes it that i don't know but yeah roxanne makes the most sense in my opinion i just don't think soul is ready there cutting promos we had the botches i think they had more high hopes for her out of the gate i think she's got a little bit of time to work and and she will okay obafemi is a heavy favorite probably the heaviest favorite outside of roman reigns in this entire thing he's a he's five hundred negative five hundred against bronson reed it's a ninety three percent chance that he's gonna win i hope he wins because bronson reed's not on his level we said that last week as much as bronson reed put in work while he was out and he looks great and he's a really good character which again if they ever break up this vision and just let bron breakker and bronson reed just go and do separate things there's a lot there and i think obafemi just needs to like put the nail in the coffin here so i don't think we really need to spend a lot of time here but i again just going back to their promo segments thinking that those two roman and oba are gonna have a road to wrestlemania if he's in the royal rumble he wins then they're gonna start cutting promos like there's gonna be bombs dropped that i cannot wait for so i really hope this is the beginning of that sort of path to war games and then outside of that into the royal rumble yep we're we're like what three months away at this point like that's not a lot of time is it november usually no is it november oh it's in january oh you're talking about rumble okay sorry i'm thinking war games has come up that's usually november i i think they already have yeah i don't think opa fendi is involved in war games no no but yeah we've got this crazy to think you know we rebels in arizona this year yeah late january i think it is so yeah it's whatever it's the week before the super bowl in the last championship game so la and roman roman's a negative fifteen hundred he's like a certainty to win this one so i think i think after the last night's promo i think it just kinda solidified that and i as much as i think la knight deserves it he ain't gonna get it yeah i don't know i like you just can't keep beating him like i don't know maybe there's non finish maybe there's something else but maybe there's something that causes him to lose but it sets up war games with him and solo and and nine four six which we'll get to here in a second but i don't know we did have a call up last week which we didn't get to talk about because we were focused on the panini redemption story jada parker out of nowhere is on raw runs over jacob fatou which was a a tremendous stuntman sort of spot there looked great jada sort of like feigns concern and then sort of aligns herself with royce keys like i think she looked like a million bucks in that segment she looked like she was angry she was had a spot on raw last night and i think did even really well in limited camera time i wasn't very like sold on her as sort of like this character but now if she's like aligned with this and she's a great wrestler she's a great worker i've seen her matches in nxt yep like another woman to add to this absolutely stacked division and they've got her with nine four six which but i think she's she's she could potentially be like that what they had hoped for other women like maxine dupree and b fab and all these other women who have just been the manager types jada can go she can hold her own ground yes she can go this this is a little bit different i like what they're building with royce keys they're making him seem like a threat even though i think his his lackeys are lackluster but either way is there anybody else besides jada parker and nxt beside maybe like a tony d'angelo or somebody else that you're expecting sort of imminently on the main roster right now tony d'angelo can make sense i feel like he's kind of at that point he's been down there for many years he's made a name so tony d makes the most sense i don't think myles bourne's ready yet i think he's gonna have end up winning down the nxt title at some point so so again in nxt it was kind of a shock and it came out of nowhere but i i like it i think it was the right move but usually they do that and usually when when did i go to stand and deliver i can't remember it's this year has been a blur but that's when after that they called up everybody so usually after their big stand in the liver which is like the wrestlemania is when you see a lot of call ups cool alright so money in the bank i think we've we've already shared our picks we've already gone through all of this i can't wait this is like the beginning of sort of like that that close to the season if if royal rumble begins playoff season like this is like the final stretch like it's it's week ten week eleven here in the nfl for for wwe in this season i can't wait to see what happens as you guys are listening to this so we'll come back next week and we'll break it down because i think there's gonna be a lot of movement for collectors to really pay attention here yep because again whoever wins these briefcases likely champion in waiting so we'll have to see brian breaker very young very up and coming same with roxanne perez like both market high spots and i wanna quickly spend some time on the gem rate data because we're about halfway through the year in gem rate data so they're they just posted the september so we're about nine three fourths of the way through i wanted to show sort of the top twenty most transacted wrestlers of twenty twenty six through august so this is about eight months worth of data they're just about to post september i would guess in the next couple of weeks but no surprise of twenty twenty six so far hulk hogan obviously leads the way with one point three million dollars in in auctions and and sales on ebay all the different auction auction platforms that generate tracks if you're not familiar with generate go to gem rate dot com they have tons of information it's awesome i love their website i love playing around with the data on there they have so much available they can even do it by wrestler too so if you wanna go search for whoever your favorite collecting target is they they've now updated even more number one hulk hogan one point three million dollars number two john cena at six hundred and eighty k this does not include coup de la that helps over a million that's over a million with that card right there yeah yeah and then the rock is number three at five hundred and eighty eight k so none of these are really big surprises i'm gonna go into this a little bit deeper on the next how much of this becky lynch is you yeah okay that's a good point actually most of the stuff i buy is is not on ebay i know i know so just to break this down a little bit further the top women's wrestlers so i've got this now the top fifteen women's wrestlers they they range all over the place but you had like rhea ripley total at number four but she's the number one women's wrestler no shock there she's at five hundred and eighty three k this year alexa bliss is the second women's wrestler she's at five hundred and sixty k so two names there not really a shock i i think they've always been one and two for as long as i can remember but you know considering that alexa bliss really hasn't done much in the last couple of years and she's been out with her maternity leave and a bunch of other stuff like it's still shocking to me how much people just continue to pour money into her the concussion issues the injury issues are always her she missed significant time prior to being pregnant like i'm just curious like and then the third is tiffany stratton who like out of nowhere like i'm sure the wrestlemania patch at twenty two k factors in but like still that's a three hundred ninety five k for tiffany stratton given you know her circumstances that's a little bit surprising so something for our listeners to remember is these sales are data reported sales like obviously ebay finex everything not private let's be honest a lot of key big rias are not transacting on those platforms a lot more alexa bliss one on ones are ria just has such a crazy following that most of her big one on ones in general are privately dealt so i even though that number is close i think it's a little bit more farther off when you consider how many of these and i'm not saying lexa bliss is aren't off record as well because it's true but i think that number would be a lot larger if more stuff were reported yeah so just to call out some stuff because people who are listening to this on the podcast won't be able to see the graphics i'm showing on patreon oscar and julia are six and seven on this list oscar with about two hundred k worth of ebase two hundred and twenty k worth of ebase in auction sales julia just under a hair under two hun two hundred k julia has not been relevant most of twenty twenty six but people are still pouring money into her cards too so the the top ten is ria alexa tiffany vakair solruka asuka julia and then becky lynch and charlotte flair with roxy rounding out the top ten all very big names i just it was shocking to me to see asuka and julia on there but also kendall gray with her very limited amount of cards number thirteen of all the women that they track hundred and six k just about a hundred and seven k through the year i she's got a lot of runway if she can make it back and get back to where she was i don't i don't know if the injury thing is real with her right now but she needs to get back on tv and get back into the title picture i wanna address the elephant in the room and this just came to me and just seeing this more and more and i think this is one of those things where you gotta appreciate greatness when you're witnessing even if you don't like it charlotte flair is grossly undervalued for all that she's accomplished mhmm she will end up having more titles than any woman wrestler in history i just don't get it i guess it's just people don't like her maybe that's why they're making a face now very polarizing very polarizing and i get and i know she's changed the look but if you've watched her matches unbelievable russell her entire career she's done it all obviously she's not having kids she's obviously putting her life into this i i just don't get the level of how she doesn't bring what she brings for what she did now i know neil would not like to hear the segment he cannot stand charlotte flair i think it's one of those things where i couldn't stand tom brady when he was playing until i started appreciating greatness in front of me because i love peyton manning i was rooting for manning and he obviously rivaled him and you look who you're talking to yeah i i know but my point being is maybe people should appreciate what greatness that she has and what she's done while you're still watching it because when it's gone it's gone yeah i i think like i'm gonna i i just posted on main event today like why it's important to look at rhea ripley and obafemi and roman reigns despite their markets being down due to different circumstances and i think charlotte flair and becky and alexa and asuka approaching are over forty years old so there's a new crop of people that are coming up and as these wrestlers reach the end of their careers there's like this sort of peak that happens when they retire right we saw it with john cena then there's a little bit of a drop off but then it starts to go back up as people go through what exactly what you're saying is like oh i i miss having charlotte flair on tv i miss having becky lynch on tv like i miss these people i now the nostalgia kicks in now i wanna go buy some of their cards like all of that type of stuff really does factor in quite a bit so i think you've you've nailed it but yeah i mean like none of the names on this list are really that surprising except for julie i think even like maybe at the beginning of the year she still had some of that carrot left but i think the rest of the year has been quite disappointing for her overall for the men these are active wrestlers not the legends so i took out the legends we're talking roman reigns number one five hundred and seventy two k no surprise there he is one of the most transacted wrestlers but he's also one of the most valuable wrestlers he some i was listening somewhere and i can't remember where but somebody said his market is brutal and i'm just like oh what market are you looking at yes it will be down for panini stuff in the next couple of weeks and months because a ton of supply just hit but roman reigns has been very much undervalued most of his career people are finally coming around i've seen major jumps in a lot of stuff maybe the readily available out of ninety nine sticker autos and other stuff like that maybe isn't going the direction that it is but on card chrome on card royalty like all of that is trending up ten fifteen percent in some clips especially now that he's been back on tv so no surprise there and then rounding out the top three obafemi at three hundred and eighteen thousand and then cody rhodes surprisingly at two hundred ninety one thousand are the top three with randy and gunther in the four and five slots i i mean sure there's there's some things to call out dominic mysterio number six trick williams at number ten for the men with a hundred and one just over a hundred and one like i love seeing trick williams on this list people need to appreciate what trick williams is doing hundred percent but i'm curious what your reaction is here no i mean it's honestly looking at this it's crazy to see dominic over his dad but i get it it's i think it's just the that's funny if if dom saw this and dom likes cards i think he'd be like heck yeah you know i know he should be proud yeah yeah but no i mean i this list makes complete sense i was actually shocked to see finn knowing that his market does bring scale of the wrestling market still isn't there yet like there's still not like hundreds of thousands of people buying these cards it's thousands tens of thousands maybe but like if you're looking at these this data and you're seeing there's a a number of wrestlers in the six figures male wrestlers traditionally don't sell anywhere close to the females that's changed in recent years with the rock and stone cold and john cena and roman reigns and people and obafemi specifically but overall like i think like the the we're we're looking at like big sales carrying a lot of these guys like roman has had multiple five figure sales obafemi's had a number of sales the the biggest obafemi sale isn't even gonna be captured here because there's a private sale it was like an eighty k for the one zero one or whatever it was so like obafemi has really been the star of twenty twenty six again that's the least shocking thing we could say on this podcast but i think like like the wrestling market is definitely performing very similarly to what we're seeing in in overall trading cards oba's only had three years of cards too i know that's that's crazy sorry to interrupt but i just want to be no it's a great point three years so i think like as much as we would see in other sports like you would have the hogans and the and the austins and undertakers and everybody at the on top like here like yeah that's happening but you're also seeing very similarly the active players and the active wrestlers are are still carrying a lot of it too correct cody at two ninety one was a little shocking to me i didn't think he his cards were were doing very well this year but a lot of people are buying cody a lot of people love him man come a long ways in stardust come a long ways in stardust that's that's a good way to put it i had to i had to alright i put out the bat signal on ig and twitter asking if listeners wanna submit questions this is a kind of a slow slow week for trading cards overall for wrestling stadium club checklist came out not really much discussed there other than danhaus and autographs as we had heard tim mentioned on the tops podcast but i'm really excited for stadium club can't wait to see how it breaks and stuff they made an absolute ton of it something like eight to ten thousand cases of it i'm gonna rip that i i i could say i still haven't ripped the kc universe i'm gonna rip several cases of stadium club yeah stadium club looks really fun so we i asked for some listener q and a we we opened it up we got i mean i got so many responses like it's stacy keebler collector if you were in charge of topps wrestling what would your ideal release calendar look like if you're gonna guess me that first i think you gotta go heavy between starting the year through wrestlemania i i don't think it needs to be does it have to be cream of the crop like you don't have to have royalty and stuff but you've gotta capture obviously topps chrome like they've done because whenever they got the licensing back at twenty five we went to royal rumble in indy and topps chrome came out that week and it was everywhere you have to have a product release in my opinion the week of rumble and the week of mania i think there's just especially one that could carry retail skews to have these at mania world to have these at the rest of the rumble whatever rule they call that one so i think it's very imperative to have that during that time slow a little up maybe rebuild up to a summer slam have a release at summer slam and then come towards the end of the year i don't think you have to have those prime prime releases out i think you gotta have more of like let's grab as many collectors as we can type skews and affordability at our three biggest events of the year rumble mania summerslam agreed i think collect most wrestling collectors are confused by why there are last year's products being released into the next year it's a very common practice so let just it is what it is so if you're gonna look at like i think you end the year and i i i know you said you're gonna have bang in with a bang like when flawless start with a bang yeah i i think you have to end the year in january or february and you end it with royalty or you end it with dynasty or transcendent or whatever your your like really big swing and dick product and like find a way to get something out that can also so i would do like almost like a a stadium club and then a royalty like back to back in like january and february capture that crowd at the rumble but also have that really big exclamation point at the end of the year then when you get to wrestlemania it has to be chrome you need chrome at wrestlemania i'm not gonna i'm gonna die on that hill it is an awesome product to have at hundred percent finest i think would be perfect for summerslam i if you're gonna go something like finest i think that would be a great time to have it universe would be fine at summerslam just having some readily available product but i think like as long as these products are spread out where you're not releasing two products in a month or even just back to back products with a with two really you know big hitter products back to back i think you're fine but i think we've been we we went through twenty twenty six with product after product after product after product we've now hit a little bit of a low coming into stadium club which is good it was needed universe released very much in the middle of like a a blank area now stadium club's gonna have some time to breathe as well royalty i think is coming right after that and it could be in january so we'll have to see alright this is just a comment from vassy's vault on instagram can you guys do more buy or underappreciated by the hobby i'm gonna go first because i had some time to put these together i'll give you a chance to think here i think and and i will stand by this twenty nineteen transcendent remains one of the most historically important wrestling sets of all time and it is vastly underappreciated for all the names they got in there all the big stuff that was in those boxes there's no wax left in the market all of them have been opened so there's not any more that you can go and rip so that's the only caveat i have none of the transcendent boxes still exist on the market as far as i know but the cards in that product whether it's the cut autographs or the the one of ones the low numbered all framed all gorgeous they have the schamberger sketches which are amazing like i think twenty nineteen transcended horribly underappreciated given that it was the first of the true super high end products like we're talking premium premium shit like that was the first of its kind and it went over like gangbusters out of nowhere i remember they previewed vince mcmahon and stone cold steve austin having their first autographs available in a long time or ever in vince mcmahon's case in that product and people literally lost their shit and i was like yes i cannot wait for this i went on i bought that stone cold steve austin like the week of release the card started to come down i held that card as long as i possibly can could i eventually traded it as part of the deal to get the one of one for becky lynch out of that set one of my most prized position was in the video the tops made like i love that twenty nineteen set so that was my that's my take yeah i i'm gonna second you on the transcendent but i'm gonna throw another set out year okay so transcendent i for what it was how expensive it was it was like no other it was a massive jump from the box of anything else to that what you got o i e the one year they implemented superfractor autos were absolutely insane so and i know drake is huge on that i'm gonna say a particular year that i think you could still buy a lot of autographs from that are grossly undervalued and appreciated is twenty fifteen undisputed wwe i think that being a first of its kind now i know undisputed you know kinda ran its course was went rinse and repeat but the first year with you know razor ramon on card autos there's a lot of really good names in that year also first of like roman seth everything you know i i just think that one i used to love ripping that and i think for what it was yes it had sticker auto relics but it had a lot of on card just appreciate some names in that set i think undisputed as a whole has aged very poorly but it has but but twenty fifteen has the next in line autographs and they are the first real sort of like high end autographs for charlotte flair for becky lynch becky lynch lynch balor barry under ray barry under ray the balor image is amazing because it's amazing amazing imaging and they had like the silver inks and the gold all that stuff yes you're right that was like their that was basically like the rookie autos essentially that was and they and that's i know somebody who has like the complete like set of those sold it for way too little money compared to what they would probably get for it now but like if you look at today's wwe that twenty fifteen undisputed class with the next in line signatures on dominates they was next in line it was next in line alright they they did not lie yeah do you this is from dec collects y t on ig do you think we will ever see a panini wwe set ever again i don't wanna say never i is there a possibility that at some point that let's just spitball here that if topps could buy some of the brewing rights yeah so good we're on the same level i think that's a possibility to see previous panini brands yes in the future that comes down to panini's willing to sell if topps wants to buy them or if topps feels comfortable with the brands they have going forward that is it i don't think we'll ever see panini produce wwe cards ever again i think that's that would have to be like centimeters punk going off again i i bum leaving and coming back three more times after that and help freeze over every time before we see panini and wwe ever do a deal together again yeah i like panini makes wrestling sets still they're just not licensed they're they're still pretty good for the money so go check those out but i i don't think panini wwe unless topps gets involved here and and buys the ip i i don't i don't think it's happening no if there was one thing you could change in wrestling cards what would it be very broad question here this is from big bob breaks i don't know man like this is this is a hard one to answer without going into it for like an hour so for me i think i wanna change the education level in wrestling like i i think that's always been my goal for a long time i think people are just so unfamiliar with how things work in the general hobby they're so unfamiliar with how to operate how to take care of their collection in a manner that allows them to participate in a bigger bigger clip like i just see constant complaining and anger and everything it's just like if you knew what was going on very few of those people would likely have the same sort of approach and i would just if they could just get that education level up a little bit even ten fifteen percent i think would make a huge difference but yeah it's like that's the one thing i think i i saw somebody post on facebook they got as part of their redemption replacements they got a trish stratus or or one of the the star swatch autographs and they posted it on facebook for like nothing and it sold in like twenty seconds and i'm like that's where i think a a better education would have helped that person get some more money to spend on whatever it is that they wanted to spend or even just knowing to hold those cards a little bit longer unless it's financially dire situation like that's the type type of thing i would like to see change in wrestling cards and and quickly i'm gonna take a different stand approach i like everything you said how about this topps so topps obviously now we have to be srp for certain skus for the first thirty days what if topps could make one maybe flagship type wrestling product where you just get one autograph a box or a hit and keep it hobby esque only or whatever and but you have to be under a hundred bucks for a month or two to keep a wrestling hobby product more affordable for somebody to rent that's willing to spend sixty to a hundred bucks versus minimum of one eighty to two fifty i think that would be good for a lot of wrestling card collectors yes the cards are not gonna be they're gonna be probably basic type stuff but it would help for the endgame consumer who really wants to rip the hobby box but doesn't wanna spend two hundred bucks yeah and i think they're trying to do that with stadium club right now they are pushing a lot of it out there i mean like i said before there's a a quite a bit of it and that's good like we need readily accessible products to be on the market so i think that's that's a pretty good i i like where you're going with that for sure alright great show on the panini redemptions how would you have done the oh i forgot to update i guess we're on the end of panini right here i mean honestly i hit here's the deal and i think i talked about this last week panini easily coulda gave us all points gave us other sports i i don't know what panini coulda done i i don't wanna say they did a phenomenal job they did a gosh darn good job i mean they really try to make everybody happy i don't know think about when kevin said there was twenty thousand outstanding redemptions and they wanted to get it done in a week give them credit i don't know if i could have done it i i i think they did a great job i'm not just bold smoke but like it could have gone the other way we all could be at panini right now with our pitchforks ready to kill them if they gave us panini points so what like i don't know i i don't know how i could have devised something to do better i don't really know i think for me personally the i i'm fully in agreement with you i i think they did an absolutely incredible job we talked about it in-depth i'm not gonna go into it much further you can go back in the archives and listen to last week's episode i encourage it i think the only thing that that pushed me a little bit further on the other side of things was like there were people who like redeemed like cards okay and then got another wrestler when they had cards to send for replacements of that wrestler they redeemed and they didn't get it so yeah i i would say like if you if you redeemed randy orton i think they should have done everything in their power to make sure that those people got randy orton cards i agree i don't think that there's a lot of supply though so like i mean like there's there's so many reasons why things happen the way that they did i'm not sure they could have done it any differently and i listen i there's gonna be angry people regardless and they're and i've heard from the podcast they they have never been right to be angry you're absolutely right we said that last week for sure i've seen a lot of podcast reactions to it i've seen a lot of social media reactions to it we we talked about kevin's sort of desire to go through facebook but like you're gonna have angry people regardless i think they took care of the people they needed to take care of like the the high dollar accounts yeah ryan and i both represent those types of people we talked about how many tickets we had outstanding so yes we were taken care of but we also had an insane amount of investment that was held for tons of time with no interest yeah no like lot lot of stuff there are people who had one card and like yes you're gonna be further back in the line in that respect but i think overall like puneen did a good job i think it's just trying to arrange some of the back of the line people to say like oh you redeemed this here is you know something that's in the same vein or the same wrestler type of thing i think that's really the only the only thing or just making sure you're not sending somebody's card that they redeemed to another person i believe that i had a phoenix autograph gold vinyl that probably got sent to somebody else and i got all a lot of becky lynch one on ones in returns i'm not complaining but i i think like if somebody had redeemed a card and you had that card in stock you should send it to that person that's my only i can get behind then you're right okay what this is from steve follow at sam wwe on ig great guy what is a card that everybody wants but you personally wouldn't spend a single dollar on that's a good one to think about it's every card everybody wants i mean in general i'm not i i cannot stand yours is a lot easier what is it i can't stand the pmgs i can't stand pmgs but that's sports cards in general i think the pmgs are the stupidest looking cards i don't like most of the late nineties inserts i know i'm in the minority there from a wrestling perspective cannot stand the wrestling all stars i've made that very very clear over the years i am not a fan of vintage cards i am not a fan of the vintage wrestling cards in specifics i think the nineteen eighty five tops looks cool as like sort of a retro throwback but for me i know a lot of people love the wrestling all stars cards for whatever reason i think i can't stand hulk hogan i can't i'm not a fan of ric flair i think the card design is awful i think the photos are blurry that's my that's my answer i i wanna answer this because i wanted to say i didn't spend a single dollar on this these cards but i freaking did anyway those bait milo cards i was like i don't i don't want any of them yes and i somehow own the randy orton one zero one i'm just like i told myself i wasn't buying these damn cards i don't care for them i'm just too old that's a good dog understand it i did not like the i didn't rip a single box of the product even though it was actually an affordable product i was not a fan of it i know you had gotten some because you sent us some to buy or whatever i bought some off the website yeah yeah i mean but they were affordable i just was like nope not for me and i told myself don't buy a single one of these and i still did so i guess at the end of the day maybe i just love all types of cards and don't wanna admit it sometimes but this is a product that i just could not get behind and somehow i still find my ass behind it so yeah i think like those cards are definitely polarizing for a lot of different reasons and i don't i i've been offered both of the becky one of ones i've turned them down each time they're just people want too much money for them they're sticker autographs the they're just not that great looking like i i'm not that impressed alright neon penguin cards on ig said why can't i pull heat in every box what sacrifice did danhausen most times that's a great that's a great question you must you must be uncursed you must go to an autograph show go to danhausen's table and make sure he uncurses you i will say the and just because of this this is a funny topic i have ripped i i've participated close to a thousand if not fifteen hundred different cases of becky lynch i've pulled one one of one just one and it is the it is an insert from elite like it is a crappy insert i have yet to pull anything of value of pecullage so i my luck for pulling heat is minimal at best i i will say this ripped a lot of a macro when they had it my luck of pulling one on ones was horrific but yeah i just kept going i actually had bad luck in royalty this year trying to pull one on ones you know so it's just one of those things where i guess you just gotta keep rivets to what finally comes i mean to your point i pulled a seth rollins one zero one i actually pulled it from elite of twenty three the black so pumped i got a video of me actually pulling it and then i remember that yeah i've never pulled a orton one zero one but parker did on christmas one year for me so the finest supercharger ever from twenty twenty which i saw like three cases sitting back to rip over like the next three years of christmases just to do obviously we ripped those for bray white and the feed autos but it's nice when you pull an orton super you weren't expecting so for sure what this is one that i'm gonna adjust for you but for me it's what is it set from top slam that you would like to see brought to physical production for you i'll just say if there's another top set that you because i know you don't really get into the digital cards very much for me it's museum collection they've released it every year on top of slam that it's been around museum collection i think would be a tremendous product for wrestling just because of all the different things that they could do now that they have access to the relics the booklet cards everything like you name it framed cards would be so cool i don't know what they would do to make it like like an equivalent of the bat barrels or the bat knobs or something like that they have in tier one that might be another one i would like to see because they've done that in top slam but i think we're gonna get like the the summerslam patches wrestlemania patches like those have become sort of the chases i wanna see them use museum collection to bring sketch cards and stuff like that similar to the way that they do like star wars what's that the the four box star wars thing with the mini boxes inside what's it called again masterwork masterwork yeah so like that would be that'd be great yeah i i don't this is not my territory i can't even tell you a tops product maybe that or something else that you would like to see brought up oh like see like the make in wrestling i'm gonna put my other sport hat on here and think here i'm trying to think what they have not touched yet that they could do that does good tier you said museum i gotta think about that i don't really know off top of my head i'm trying to think what they have not grabbed they they let's go definitive yeah oh my god that would be awesome definitive it it'd be a different version of royalty but it'd be a i think a step up yeah i i like i i've told i told that to their team a number of times like i wanted definitive definitive is sterling go top sterling with it oh top sterling top sterling i don't man definitive would be great top sterling if you're gonna do it a legends focused top sterling i think that would be oh terrible one thing i love about top sterling is they always put the box like it's like you know home run leader all time grades you know stuff like that so hot autographs like but what's funny is i've ripped those over the years and you'd open one and it'd be like retired grade it'd be like an active player like christian yachts like i guess they mix these up and we're paying attention so that was a tease yeah okay last i i think this is the last one yeah so this is a longer one i'm not gonna read the whole thing this is from star stream collects it's no secret you and ryan are huge fans of flawless yes yes we are as you've probably heard over the last couple of months here we're on episode forty i think we've talked about flawless in forty of those episodes you often speak of the investment side of flawless but can you only really speak of like the high end autographs like in terms of like the lower end stuff like the base diamonds non auto patches stuff like that other premium sets like do you see the same investment potential same thing with like immaculate and impeccable and the base cards and stuff like that he says he ends it by saying go brewers i don't so he's probably a brewers fan they are definitely riding high in the mlb playoffs with with miz and everything there so congrats on the brewers success if they continue to play well but i'm curious what your thoughts are on sort of the lower end of flaws a lot of people got those back in this redemption replacement thing and maybe they were replacing other cards that may seem like high end in other sets like chronicles or whatever second off my dad has listened to podcast so he won't cast for me for saying this go birds i'm rooting for you guys as a lifelong cardinals fan i've had miz in the shop twice also jared koning and other players they were here this year awesome guys i i take the world of them and i told them i said look i i'm gonna pull for you cannot go wrong with anything from false w two b it is a onetime year you could buy the cheapest of the cheapest and throw it back because chances are the cheaper stuff is gonna probably dry up a lot of room to grow as well obviously diving into the other products again we talked about this there was three years of panini they produced some incredible products when they had it some iconic cards that we know i know we've talked about prism gold select golds i think you could put back the lesser tier guys mb or girls and just be fine i don't think you can go wrong with anything if you're if you you wanna say hey i wanna throw a five hundred dollar budget over the next year and see what i can buy in a budget i think there's still a lot you can obtain of lower numbered stuff of lesser wrestlers that at the end of the day three five ten years from now will be significantly worth more i i i said this on last week's podcast like flawless has always been a game of supply and demand and the supply has always been nothing it's gonna be temporarily bigger than it is same with roman reigns i've talked about that on main event today all of these things will have temporary bumps in supply and we just don't have the scale on a snap of a finger to go and and account for that it's gonna hurt value but if you're patient and i i still think and this is a question that maybe i should have just put in here as gellman's question is like what is the most important characteristic in wrestling cards and that's rest and that's patience having patience to hold these cards and it takes a very specific type of person like ryan who has you know a vault that he can put all of these in and just let them sit because he's focused on his business and other things issues he got issues and like yeah patience is so key and i think and i'll talk about the impeccable base cards here in a second but the like anything with flawless doesn't matter if it's braun strowman or dragon lee or whatever like there were a lot of names in there that are no longer with wwe or no longer really that relevant in the title pictures or whatever even centimeters punk has autographs for like two hundred fifty bucks out of flawless correct you are not gonna see those like this is a five ten year game in some of these cases the hobby will go through its ups and downs like you're gonna see like some of the big stuff has already started to come down a little bit because we were just in unhealthy territory across the board in sports cards so some of the stuff is correcting already and i think like we're gonna see corrections in wrestling too because we we are behind the regular hobby we are two steps behind usually so there's gonna be corrections but if you've got vision the vision seth rollins' vision for for ten fifteen years here like think about how far into the future obafemi is twenty eight years old when he's forty three and he's looking back at the prime days of his career and you see those flawless cards like they're not gonna be thousand dollar cards anymore even just adjusted for inflation they're gonna be his best cards and even somebody like a dragon lee who is getting more tv time he's getting more focus he could be in the intercontinental title picture like those types of things like he his cards even if he doesn't end up panning out with wwe people want the brand as much as they want the wrestler and i think that's where people lose it a little bit and there's a lot of supply right now because twenty thousand people just got flawless cards in their mailbox but it won't be like that for twenty thousand redemptions adam not twenty thousand people that's right very true correct we need to be like are you told us twenty thousand redemption not people yeah yeah so the last the last thing is the impeccable base cards from twenty twenty two are some of my favorite base cards from the entire panini era if you don't have a familiarity with what the impeccable base cards look like from twenty twenty two go check them out they are absolutely awesome especially the gold and the platinums i have at the full rainbow from from both years and and it's just it's awesome so yeah i i it's a great question i wish we could spend more time on it yeah so i wish we could spend more time on it we do focus a lot on the high end because that's really what people tend to wanna hear about but i think there's a ton of value in wrestling especially in the lower tiers ryan mentioned in a previous podcast that like in baseball you pull a crappy auto and it's like a buck or two bucks wrestling is like five ten bucks sometimes so i think that there's there's a lot less of it to go around even at the scale that is being offered so if people sign for tops more and more and more this stuff is gonna be outnumbered and outnumbered and outnumbered and outnumbered and eventually it's gonna be gone and it's just gonna dry up so i don't think you can go wrong alright quick run through of some big sales this is a really cool undertaker star swatch we talk about star swatches way too much way too much but this is the one of eight undertaker purple amethyst star swatch it is such an awesome looking card with the purple it just pops it's so color match color match color match so good sold for four thousand four hundred ninety four dollars on ebay this is the it's the number one of this first one printed so like sure first one stamped whatever you wanna call it like i don't value the bookends at all i don't like calling them bookends to me the serial number makes no sense or makes no matter to me personally but for others it's the big deal having the first one stamped so i think like this clean autograph clean card great photo great design like can't go wrong and it's purple like this is peak under the the image vintage taker and vintage taker was purple i mean this is just awesome i was watching this i forgot to bid on it but i really wasn't gonna go this high so wow i mean but again forty five hundred bucks yeah that's that's crazy it's awesome go go on card ladder go search for the undertaker stars watches you'll see this card it's absolutely awesome the warrior one of one black concourse from twenty twenty three select sold for thirty five hundred fifty dollars via auction it did confirm that it did go to a legit bidder warriors cards have crept up recently yeah yeah yep this is kind of that like we we talked about on a previous podcast like his black one zero ones from prism sold for a ton this is another big sale it's a gem mint ten so it's like psa the only grade in wrestling that means anything is a ten there's really not much of a bump for nines or eights or anything at this point but and even the sevens don't really hurt the one on ones because you have so many collectors that chase these cards it's a great warrior photo i'm not a warrior fan i was when i was a kid but ever since i learned about sort of what his you know personal feelings are towards certain types of individuals whether they are fat people especially like he really really dislikes people who are not in like peak shape so among other types of people but not the biggest fan of him anymore and but there's a lot of collectors who live that nostalgia from the eighties and and he was a major part of it even though he flamed out in epic fashion oh god they they they made him like he was gonna be bigger than hogan oops oops i i wanted to call this one out this one literally just sold yesterday as we're recording so on october fifth the rhea ripley one of one marks of or pillars of greatness yep twenty six hundred and five dollars this and it went to a legit bidders this this is a deal and a half for this card two is this this kinda shocked me i was just more like is that a two i would have bid on this if twenty six hundred bucks that's nothing for this card ten stephanie vicair went for what ten grand eleven grand did steve see this he did yeah okay did he win i mean he posted it that's where i got it from so like steve steve posted this on instagram i was like what what just happened here like i i hope he was bidding on this i mean like for being a big ria this seems like a a steal man this is awesome yeah like royalty royalty started to creep up too we've talked about it like when it came out like that it's gonna flood the market it's gonna go through the normal things we talked about a couple weeks ago like the traditional path of a product this is this is a really interesting sale just coming out of the panini redemption saga a roman reigns and cody rhodes dual relic auto out of ten sold for twenty five hundred bucks this is the gold version i love this card i i am not a fan of cody rhodes i'm a huge fan of roman reigns both of these relics are insane great looking card overall i know people waited a number of years this is from twenty three immaculate but what a card and it's it's getting you like the gold selling for twenty five hundred bucks like that's a big number for a gold you know how do you get this yep great long long term card i talked to the person who sold this card this is the logan paul top slammed case it from universe a lot of people were like does this card even exist yes it exists and it's sold for twenty five hundred bucks via best offer i this could be logan paul's only card like i let's like we don't know that for sure we don't know have any inside information or anything like that but this could be logan paul's only card and if it's his only card and there's only twenty of them or whatever there is twenty five hundred bucks is gonna seem like a very low price yes it does i i got my orton in today and you have becky correct i do okay i literally got this card in hand it is even better in person holy crap nice these are such gold cards i'm glad i just said screw it on buying one i'm taking the adam gelman approach just getting one of being done and i probably overpaid but i don't care i kinda want another one isn't that awesome they're they're selling nicely all the cases from universe this year are bangers like the yes the alias cards when you and market trends and i posted i did a post on this as well is wrestling cards i wanna get your perspective specifically is it a buyer's market right now or is it a seller's market right now for wrestling cards there's just a title match topic nsync did but it was spelled differently baby buy buy buy buy buy it's it is time to buy this is the best time to buy wrestling cards because we're not on the road to wrestlemania it is when everybody is watching nfl college football basketball hockey baseball playoffs sports betting is going on so disposable income is changing right now and all cards in september and october all things collectibles especially sports tend to tip a little bit because of disposable income oh by the way sports betting is almost legal in every state you could do it on your app i think it trends however fanatics yeah yeah so you can do it you're right so i think wrestling cards are a no brainer this is the peak time to buy right now but you now until the end of the year because once january hits we're talking royal rumble then that is a road to wrestlemania and that is the absolute peak time of wrestling cards is truly january through april where where wrestlemania is and then we still have a hype around summer because not only do we have summerslam we have fanatics fest in the nashville which have become very popular as this so i think if you're buying any wrestling cards and i went to indianapolis and i bought a good amount we're buying in store i'm throwing back so much right now this is a buyer's market if there ever was one right now for wrestling cards take action right now like this is this was my mail day today it's another roman reigns and obafemi like i am i'm buying i'm but that's not like i think for us because we have the means and the opportunity we're definitely buyers i think there are certain parts of wrestling that are sellers markets right now you have like the super desirable rare and high end like specific cards some of those exist in a seller's market but to ryan's point i think there is a buyer's market that is unheard of in a lot of these spaces that you can get in there and you can really bump up the funds available that you have to go spend on your pc ryan brought a really really good point up last week on the podcast i really hope people heard it if you're selling cards right now to go pay for break slots please reevaluate the way that you're approaching these things because the cards you're likely selling are the cards you're hoping to hit in those breaks don't trade a sure thing for a chance burden hand versus two in the bush like i think like a buyer's market is defined by having more sellers than there are buyers the real estate market some of those situations turned into a buyer's market but for a long time it was a seller's market where the sellers are far in in are far dwarfed by the number of buyers in the market you couldn't even get a showing on a house because it would sell before the showing actually took place like there are parts of wrestling cards where that's a thing right now there are other parts of wrestling cards where it's not and i think the bulk low end stuff for tops specifically just because there's so much of it and it's just gonna keep going and going and going that's gonna continue to be i think a buyer's market but for a very short period of time and we've talked about this multiple times even on this show is like there's gonna be panini cards for the first time in a buyer's market take advantage of it we talked about it for the last three podcasts at this point like really awesome stuff but you know like if you have the means and you have the opportunity to go and take in i'm buying cars i never thought i would have a shot at i bought a roman reigns immaculate jumbo patch auto i bought obafemi i bought all these cars and they are cheap like they are not expensive they will be eventually and i think i'm betting on that number of episodes but i i can't wait once we get to like episode fifty and fifty two where we're we've been doing this for a full year like we'll have to do something big and and just get some some people on and celebrate with us because this has just been a wild ride but really fun overall sort of couple of weeks here with the stuff and the money in the bank and coming up so i i really like that any any words to close it out no i mean i i think you hit on all of it again thank you everybody for all the support i've i talked to a lot of people when i was indie saying that they love the show they appreciate it and that's awesome to me we just would have fun i literally hop on here take an hour i like to take an hour but an hour and a half usually with adam and and i get to an hour oh podcast where adam's like let's do a q and a let's do buy and sell tray let's do this those are things that are fun and engaging for us to really put on our hats and think and i think it's a nice perspective where you could take what we think on the spot to really put towards our listeners and give you our honest thoughts so i'm looking forward to this month i've got three wrestling people visiting me this month wrestling card collectors i've got cars that i've known for a long time he's coming in next week he needs some star swatches for a set i told him i helped him out he's gonna pay coming in the month of october to visit the shop it's so i'm gonna get through a lot of wrestling cards this month oh no we'll time a year for wrestling cards it's kind of a high point time which is
