it's episode thirty seven yes it is welcome to another awesome episode lots to cover here today what a weekend between wrestling football not only did one of my teams come back hook them horns texas our minnesota vikings came back to beat the packers so i think we're a little excited to be on here today we're representing our vikings gears for those of you watch our main event but better yet adam how you doing this was an insane it was absolutely insane weekend like i i just like i i know you were in dallas how was that hopefully fun thirty six hours it was awesome we picked i picked up a lot of stuff that show is bar none the best multi bimonthly show in the country i was it was my work prevented us from having this podcast as zormal on tuesday but brett and i were able to hold it down glad you're back yep thank you for going in on such short notice more importantly yeah he's like yeah it was tuesday hey ryan i can't do today can we do thursday i'm like no i'm in dallas he's like crap we gotta figure this out yeah so it ended up working out i i got to go to the vikings game on sunday it was an electric atmosphere for about five minutes and then a complete deflation followed by more electricity in the second half but what an absolutely awesome game if you only look at two quarters of football but yeah that was good and then yeah i got so topps posted the the becky lynch video we recorded that right after the after i got back from chicago so i came home pulled everything out of my office for a full day recorded for a full day went to summerslam came back and moved everything back in so like it was like a three day sort of experience to film this video for nine minutes which was absolutely awesome they did a great job that really yeah shout out to chuck and the topps team they did a tremendous job i loved the video hopefully you guys got to see it becky lynn shouted me out out not once but twice on both twitter and instagram which was so cool having met her and and what she's all about like she's as genuine as it gets and we spend a lot of time i got to show her the collection back a few a few months ago she was floored and and i think the the video sort of showed the the extent of that so got my fifteen minutes of fame you had yours earlier this year with randy orton so i think we're both now very famous individuals and i'm i i am charging for autographs at the next national convention brian and i are gonna set up a booth together and just sign whatever you guys want so yeah i'll i'll pay i'll pay you so i can sign the autograph that's fine i've been working on my autograph ever since i was in high school so i've got a pretty legit one that oh i thought one day i'd be going pro but yeah i work hard on my autograph and no i'm just the guy who owns a car shop now and gets to do this podcast with you once a week so i think i made it dad i guess so we did it we did it world's greatest cup of coffee alright let's get into the opening pyro because we have tim trout from topps that is gonna join us later on here we're gonna do this a little out of order because topps is gonna join us at the bottom of the hour here we're recording so i think i wanna get at least some of this news because even though brett and i recorded on thursday i i like the it's literally been nonstop adams i'm gonna stop you for a second it has been such a long week with everything going on i just now remember that sammy's is the new champion when he posted that i'm like oh my god that was like that was so last year it feels like because there's been so much going on so so this week in wrestling and in wrestling cards has no shortage of newsworthy information to talk about so first things first last friday we had sami zayn reclaim the wwe championship two time champ now two time two time i can't say i'm excited about this because i felt like kevin owens got skipped over in the respect of like hey his storyline seemed to suggest that that would come before sami zayn gets another chance but the idea is i guess with crown jewel in saudi arabia coming up in november they wanna have sami as champion going into that so if this is gonna become a mansoor situation where every time they're in saudi arabia sami zayn has to be champion i'm not on board but i mean like it's okay i mean i i this is not gonna get me to watch smackdown any more than than it would if centimeters punk was but like at least with centimeters punk i think there was a little bit more intrigue and there was a little bit more storyline capabilities sammy just doesn't do it for me and i've said that a number of times here but making him champion again for the circumstances that they're planning for makes sense at least so i'm not sure if you got a chance to catch up there but yeah it just happened out of nowhere it was it happened friday night i was flying back so i was just what what happened he's the champ again i got caught up in everything but i i get their play here but i don't know how sammy's gonna look so dominant up against roman i don't know how they're gonna make him look any good i mean yes they put on amazing mats in montreal whenever they had that but that was different there was so much building up with this that sammy character you know there was so much going into that this i feel like can we just have a squash match and just have roman dominate him and then we just he drops the belt to orton or somebody else i mean i feel like this is just a money grab and just being in saudi in my opinion i think that's the consensus a lot of people have so i agree kevin owens shoulda got that shot but who knows maybe their whole plan the whole time was orton i'm out bringing my board but i think he was supposed to win at mania pivoted injuries i think they're gonna try to get this to number fifteen for him i gotta feel this is the right opponent and then you can have punk versus orton which would be great so i don't know i'm i'm kinda confused with where they're going here there's a fork in the road and they're going eighteen directions right now yeah and so the the two i i assume they're gonna bring back these awful crown jewel championships that were created i i mean like i there's not much you can say it's been cody who was the first one was cody the first one and then it was i don't even remember like that's how bad this is was it i think it was cody was it cody cody won cody won was he the first and then was gunther did they do it with gunther wait gunther lost to cody i think gunther lost to cody if i'm correct maybe that's right so ask your friend ai yeah let's let's set this up but i think like if they're doing that again it's so memorable that we couldn't remember yeah let's put it that way and i think like if if it's gonna be roman and sammy and they they wanna give roman like all the accolades or maybe they give sammy this crown jewel championship as a makeup for having him rule for nine days i don't know but it's just like it it's that's gonna squash all momentum that roman has which is let's be honest we were talking on the phone earlier every match that roman's had this year has been an absolute banger i can't remember the last time roman did not have a banger to have him go to saudi and lose the sammy with everything he's done would just be like ugh just leave a bad taste in my mouth so the tool so believe it or not the two crown jewel champions you're gonna love this cody rhodes in twenty twenty four defeated gunther and then a certain favorite wrestler of yours seth rollins became cody rhodes it was yep so yeah so i would say these championships don't matter and we'll talk about roman here in a minute but like sami winning that fine like give him give him a feather in his camp i don't i don't really care but like honestly it it doesn't really matter either way who wins but i think they're definitely wanting sami and roman to face off in saudi arabia which will be a good match because as you said roman can work with anybody and we saw what happened on monday night which we'll get to but either way these so the the smackdown championship has changed hands i think multiple times on tv this year which is unheard of in a lot of different ways yep but then you also have the women's world championship change change change hose oh my god change hands at a house show which is what i was trying to say in in chile where stephanie vicair beats liv morgan not the direction i was expecting at all and becky lynch was the referee and i think i i i didn't get a chance to watch the match obviously it's a house show match you can watch it if you're part of club wwe i think they said on raw last night but i will say that the way that it went down looked awesome like yeah seeing that the like i i remember there was an interview with julian edelman that he edelman that he did the former patriots wide receiver who he has a a podcast he had becky on and he asked her what was the craziest city that you wrestle in and she said believe it or not santiago chile and that's exactly where this was it was in absolutely insane as expected stephanie vakhar pulls it off so yesterday or i i monday i should say because we're recording this on a tuesday so it sorry to call into the time stamps into this they get into it liv and her get into it to open the broadcast in mexico which the crowd was on fire as expected and that the the south american and latin american crowds are always hot and then grande americano comes out and they have this mixed tags mixed oh my god i cannot talk today mixed tag match with dom and liv and grande americano and stephanie vakir and it was just as awesome as you would have expected humongous pop for grande americano who beat dominic mysterio on sunday to be the new triple a mega campion and i think that was predictable as all can be but it was the right call because he's absolutely white hot in mexico and deserves to be the champion based on what he's accomplished over the course of this year and dominic and liv you know play the part perfectly crowds going nuts rey mysterio's in the ring it it was just perfect opening to a perfect monday night raw one of the best raw's of the netflix era i would say but yeah i mean i don't know if you have any thoughts on on stephanie vicair or the opening to raw or anything like that no i mean let's be honest i'm gonna do a little flash in the past and show my age here the most notable house show title change in me growing up was diesel versus bob backlund i knew that was great back then before the internet wasn't out there and you tuned on raw and you're like new champion diesel like what it was right after backlund finally won the title after all those years so so no you you knew last night was gonna be special because obviously wwe has always gone all out for the raw that goes up against the first monday night football game of the year i was talking to him today remember the biggie was the money in the bank and he said on twitter i was gonna i'm gonna turn the turn in the money in the bank tonight to win so we knew last i was gonna be a banger we knew pinto and roman was gonna be what it was but the way they started it up really set up for a great raw and i think everybody had to be kind of on that ple level last night i think they had to put on not only was that crowd absolutely insane which it always is there i really just wanna fly down there to go watch one of these maybe i can just convince my wife to let you and i just go so we can experience this and and see what this is all about but no great role around all matches were fire what a banger pinta and roman have which we're gonna get into next i mean oh god that match was just you just felt the electricity you felt the crowd at one point i'm like i think pinta's gonna do this it kinda got you kinda got that sense like is this really gonna happen is this that moment but we knew it was gonna go the way it did except you kinda started believing it could go the other way so let's let's lay out the scene here because the because i think penta has cemented himself now as a main eventer hundred percent he he rides in on a horse to to open sort of like they they posted at like two or three pm he's rides into arena cdmx riding a horse full regalia awesome just an awesome scene the crowds around him it's like a parade it's so cool then like we wait the whole show for this match and every match yesterday dragon lee and chad gable was awesome even though i had to sit through that stupid theme music twice and like everything about raw was executed about as well as you could execute like there there were very few down areas even the triple threat with big cass and jevon evans and i can't remember who the third person oh theory was good because and like that that was even good out of nowhere they're already killing big cass he's already doing the preshow and look just jobbing out now as he should corey graves is loving life so yeah so i think like we get to the final match and penta comes doesn't come through the entrance that the other wrestlers has because he's wearing this gigantic headdress that looks absolutely incredible and comes out does his full entrance full fireworks it's awesome he somehow gets in the ring with that thing still on does the full entrance in the headdress which is crazy roman comes out to enormous boos and they wrestle in a certified banger and like i was reading reactions online like oh penta should've won penta like guys you don't have to go over to get over and i think that penta's like everything about that match was great penta played his role perfectly got the crowd into it they there were some great near falls but roman is a master class of wrestling every time he stepped in the ring in twenty twenty six this was no different there was a i was telling ryan there was a tweet from william regal who just even heaped it on further and rightfully so i have bought and just in this retrospect here i have been buying roman reigns cards for a long time now and everyone that i don't send to ryan and i just sent a bunch more because i bought some becky lynch cards shocker shocker shocker everyone that i can keep i'm i'm putting away and locking it up and throwing away the key because like roman reigns is quickly demonstrating that on in addition to being on mount rushmore he's maybe george washington it's at the at some point in time and like just yeah this this this year's worth of wrestling is just been so good punk and everything he's done over the course of the the reign that he had since beating punk last night was no different do you do you think that roman reigns has added to his mystique to a point where you need to start considering him in these conversations that no one wants to put him in yeah i mean we i think those conversations started a long time ago but i was texting somebody today who's a big peta fan i said i think we learned last night that roman reigns can can do this with anybody he could make anybody he can wrestle with any type of wrestler you put him in that ring his chemistry is bar none up there with one of the best of all time i mean let's talk about that mexican destroyer into the spear off the rope that was just that was great i mean timing was perfect no i think roman really showed last night because that was the biggest question is how's roman gonna fare in this type of match because we know pinta his type of wrestling can mesh with just almost anybody except a big big guy probably like an or somebody like that i mean it's hard to wrestle with let's be honest all those guys are pretty stiff as it is but watching roman work and work the crowd the way he did work everything legendary match last night we got on a monday night raw in mexico what more could you ask for i think this let's talk about penta's card for a second we know he's got a really good market his cards have always sold well last night i think really if you've been collecting penta i had to make you feel really good for the moment that they put him in i think his cards now are gonna be a little more collectible from anybody who watched that match to know that hey he has respect now we saw how that match played out there will be an opportunity for pinta you text brett and i last night and said okay i'm all in i want pinta to win the money in the bank not finn balor anymore going next yeah yeah sorry i ruined your moment did you know it's fine no it's fine but but it is what it is i i and if he wins money in the bank all for it all for that so let me let me say from the perspective of like who wwe has built up so far in the last couple months one of them is solo sikoa and they released one of the most incredible t shirts you gotta go look at it if you wanna i gotta go order one i actually need to go yeah i i i'm like it's twenty twenty six and i'm considering buying a solo sikoa t shirt like what is happening cats and dogs living together mass hysteria i didn't know where you're going to what is happening until now this is great yeah so that's number one number two is they have put penta like a a a you know like you've got like a a list of of people that you can count on and they have put penta at or near the top i think in a lot of these circumstances if he and he's great in ladder matches i think he was in money in the bank last year maybe like mhmm i i remember i distinctly remember some insane spots he was also in that ladder match at wrestlemania which was just a which was amazing what a match so give him the briefcase and let him cash in at at in saudi arabia whoever wins that crown jewel match like have him cash in win the title and make it mean something because i i like people have started to say well you you shouldn't need money in the bank to be established and win your first title but i think for somebody like penta he can make it so cool and i would really like to see something like that happen where he takes over as smack down because they could use somebody like penta to really sort of up the quality of the show when it goes back to three hours mhmm and ray phoenix is on that is will likely be put back on that show when he's done in triple a so i think like there's a lot of reason that penta should be on smackdown but in the meantime like i was i was brett suggested last week money in the bank finn balor i was all i was like yeah that's that's great but i i happy that would be and he would be very happy now i'm kinda thinking like is that even the right call so as of right now the money in the bank ladder matches stand with bron breakker and jevon evans on the men's side and there's still four more to go and then sol ruka and the debuting lola vice which we'll talk about here in a second do you have any i mean you are the the soothsayer of of oh man of wwe what is your guess for men's and women's at this point before we know who is in what man okay men's and women's i'm gonna i'm gonna give neil his his flowers and roses you call it i'm gonna go finn bauer i think he deserves it not that pinta doesn't after this i know you're all on the board but i mean how many times is finn bauer gonna get pooped on i mean just opportunity after opportunity and la night too he's in that match but i don't think with la night in that title match i don't think going for that into the money in the bank i just don't see that so but breaker does make a lot of sense to me it does if you wanna go that route because yeah i could see that but i think finn deserved it women wise i don't think soul's ready i don't i think she's a little bit far off and i don't know i don't know who else they would be thrown out right now do you think becky gets thrown into the mix or i think i think that like her being a menace with the briefcase seems to be the best option at the moment and again but she's the issue like a but she's kind of gone to a face now right yeah she's kind of back to a face so i don't know i think they're gonna keep her as a face for a while i would feel it's it's a lot to change from my to heal to a face and go right back you know kinda deal once she i think yeah and i think she can fail a cash in too so if like if you wanna give the women the first failed cash in like becky can sustain it i i think if it it really depends on what their plans are for wrestlemania and here's why because i think from a a a lot of these perspectives like when you look at the overall landscape of wwe like there's only a few people that can be in one of those four matches and i think that i don't think liv's gonna be i hope liv's not in one of those matches again she's had three very disastrous title reigns not her fault necessarily mostly the booking but and i'm i'm saying that as a live hater and i'll put this graphic up just to just to make sure that we get that up there it's the one of becky lynch giving her a double bird right as she's pinning stephanie vakaire so i mean like i would say that like when you look at the overall landscape of wwe there's only a few people that can be in those four matches and i think becky is is probably one of those four people and she was not in any of those matches for a number of years now so maybe you know since wrestlemania forty we're now in forty three put her in one of the matches she can either be the champion and lose or she can be a challenger and lose or champion and win whatever she can take any of those roles but if they make her money in the bank then i think the the vehicle is you've gotta push her her through to wrestlemania and that might be a little bit i i gotta think stephanie's gonna carry this for a while again i think she's proven she can do it i think we're gonna get rhea against why am i drawing a blank right now chelsea green chelsea green i think we're gonna get that match instead i think we'll get the you know interim i think that'll be whatever ria's ready to come back so i i really i'm not gonna give you my prediction right now because i don't want to be a spoiler but i think once we see everybody who's in the match i'll know how i feel a lot better with what play because let's be honest they could easily pivot becky out they could easily not put pimpton in there we don't know their plans right now but i i don't think of javon evans i think he's so young he's not ready again i wanna see the layout of it all because let's be honest there is gonna be an are we building up to we still gonna get the oba versus roman i feel like oba wins there's not a doubt in my mind i mean we we set it up yeah if ova's in the royal rumble he's winning so i think better win i mean at that point and then you have what started at wrestlemania in twenty six the buildup of the the post conference of ova talking stuff on rome and vice versa yeah everything comes full circle so i think you look at that from a standpoint of whoever gets this money in the bank should cash in on a current champion of some sort let's be honest not roman obviously sammy zane or whoever's the champion that's the thing like if you put the briefcase on breaker i think he fails and i don't think breaker is in the spot where he can fail i don't do you really want him to beat roman for a title or you want him to beat no i don't i don't think i don't think you could easily put this back on punk and have a loser or you put it on orton and go with the pro here i think it's time for cody to go away for a little bit and re get let's start missing him i think we've talked about this before so there's a lot of ways they can go with this and i think only time's gonna tell because this is the point where they're trying to figure out what they're gonna do next year let's be honest we're gonna watch unreal and they're probably videotaping right now talking about the most random person winning money in the playoffs let's put jayoso at the break so how do that one work out just have a rocket to him so he could trip over the freaking rope and he's jumping out to botch everything so do you think do you think there's any chance la night beats roman reigns zero k i thought he said i i want him to like i think la night should get a shot off air last night i did yeah okay yeah i think like and like roman roman will make it believable and la knight will get screwed again and and that's the only reason he's in this match i think is because they can't keep putting him in the money in the bank match because people get pissed and i think crowds won him yeah they want him to win and la knight with the briefcase would be great i get i i think he's a talker like anybody who could talk up the briefcase and use that as a prop to build their character is great but let me say this if you're a collector or an investor or a flipper and you wanna invest in one of these names to sort of like really do see who the next two or three names are that they add the last person they add is usually the throwaway it's it's not somebody that's gonna win usually but i think like if you're seeing them push and push and push on one name specifically whether that's penta or finn balor or whoever maybe throw a few bucks because finn balor's autos are cheap penta not so much anymore i'm jealous that neil gets that stuff cheap penta penta i think his autographs are still kind of expensive i think they're in the thirty to forty dollar range at the base level so they're they're not super affordable but if he gets the briefcase and like i i think those become sixty seventy five dollar autographs you could easily get some good value out of buying into penta now i think if you're looking at last night and you're not seeing a future world champion in the making like i i don't know what you're seeing like penta i and you know my feelings on aew i do not like aew and i don't like what penta represented in aew which is just throwing canadian destroyers ad nauseam spamming the finisher button there's a my favorite gift to put to post is him going back and forth and i think it was orange cassidy or something just trading off the rope destroyers last night he showed he can work the wwe style he's great at at the entrance the kids love him everybody loves him the crowd loves him i i like as some as an aew self proclaimed hater me giving my support to penta is a big deal and i think he i think he deserves at least a consideration and i keep using the word deserved as my least favorite word to use in wrestling because it's all scripted but if you're building a storyline with him he can handle it correct yeah the only thing i'm gonna disagree i'm not a aw hater i don't dislike aw i'm not as big on it as i was but i do love some of the matches that they have there i just wish they built more of a storyline up sometimes they do sometimes they just oh let's have a random dream match tonight on a random wednesday that's my biggest gripes with it so but yes back to pinta i agree everything you're saying he is going to sell a lot of merchandise he is over with the grandmas yeah yeah these are things that have the makings to be a world champion for somebody to do this now when is this saudi arabia match the november november do you think they screw sami over again to have him drop before do you really think that they really wanna have sami hold this belt for that match that long you really think that impossible i i know but it's like we did the nine days why do we do the part while we're taking it zayn it's i like sami zayn as like the the the muckraker and the shit stirrer but i don't like him as champion but i just don't understand why you had him drop the first time randomly and then now you're putting him back on him i i don't i get it makes the most sense for saudi but two months we'll see how this holds a lot it's a long time for sammy to be champion but i also because we have tim from tops joining us here shortly i wanna talk about lola vice and kehlani jordan because they both debuted on in a match for money in the bank qualifier last night it was a great it was a great match with raquel rodriguez lola vice obviously debuts and wins kehlani jordan is the nxt women's champion so she could have been in the match but i don't think she was gonna win but they both they both wore debut patches and i wanna talk about one specifically kehlani wore hers on her boot normal lola vice and the superstars really do have know she put that there yeah you know for a fact so lola vice wore it straight in the middle of her butt and like it went like i think as of this morning my tweet that showed that picture had about three thousand likes on it that is not usual for me it has about four hundred thousand views people were just retweeting it and because she knew exactly what she was doing and if you've watched her in ufc she's very much this type of person who wants the attention and wants to be the dancer and all the other stuff like she does a great job with her character and so when she came out that debut patch was where it was it like the the the goonor crowd just went nuts gunther's sitting there clapping yeah it's it's awesome but i think like that card just got oh got it like at least a hundred percent more expensive it's gonna be the most expensive lola price vice card by a long time ago already was gonna be but i know but after she put it there it's like oh boy like so i wanna say if if you if you watch some of the awful breakers that don't know what they're doing they like to sniff the relics of the female talent which is the most disgusting thing that you can do and i refuse to continue breaking with people who do that because it's awful and it's piggish and i think you should absolutely be kicked off of camera if you're gonna do that that's not what this hobby is about and they're most of the relics are are not gonna be scratch and sniff worthy things anyway for all the reasons that we should talk but i will say this this patch specifically is gonna cause some major major speculation because of where she wore it but it's awesome because it got a ton of attention and it got a ton of awesome reaction online which i think is great it it brings more attention to this card when it eventually comes to market and it's gonna be either i would guess in twenty twenty seven chrome maybe twenty twenty eight depending on what the scheduling looks like but because we're still probably three four months away from even having an idea of what that checklist is gonna look like but maybe that's a question we can ask tim here when he joins because that is one of the topics i wanted to discuss are these debut patches and seeing this one last night was incredible would you say this is the most notable like you you didn't have to really look for it you knew where this one was and everybody else you're like i think i see it this was like there it is it's right there so yeah yeah yeah i think these these cards so these debut patch cards are like the checklist is getting bigger and bigger by the day and that's awesome oh that's great my only fear is like what happens when we we're now into the next year's checklist do you see enough be like maybe kendall grey comes up yeah i i don't know like there's not as many big names in the sky with them i can see okay so from having a shop and knowing hot tops does this stuff with rookie cards and baseball and debut patches they've they've definitely taken the approach sometimes of holding certain people to the next year agree so because this is getting pretty extensive list compared to where we were the you know this past year i see this going to the point where like we can hold this wrestler till next year however if you're gonna have that wrestler already in the product it's gonna be really hard to say we don't wanna put lola vice in there now she was already in it but we wanna save her debut patch i think it's hard to save that so we do know kendall grey would be the big big name if she got the call up in the next year and that would bring big money so i'm with you i don't know what they're gonna do with with what they have in nxt to come up again the thing i love about nxt there could be somebody there we're talking a year from now that could just be kinda low man on the total pool that could really build themselves up this next year and be to this conversation piece because let's be honest at one point unless you were fond of nxt you knew what obafemi was down there but we weren't talking about obafemi that's true so just remember what they do it's it's always wait like i mean honestly i'm shocked i never thought tony d'angelo would be the champ down there when he was and he proved like hey this guy deserved it and he really was a good champion when he had it so you you when that was the guys on the guys for five bucks so that's the beauty of nxt is that you could see some of these wrestlers to get better and develop so i think there's gonna be a better plethora between now and next year to really go into the twenty eight chrome yeah and one thing to mention before tim joins us here so they did some tops now cards for all of the the different championship changing hands the grande americano one beating dominik mysterio was actually ludwig kaiser or the person who plays ludwig kaiser and now grande americano his first autographs as grande americano are this top now thing which i think is so awesome mhmm i don't know if people by the time we post this for everybody to hear it'll be well past the expiration but i think that's a cool little aside how many tops now are you buying of of which any i again i can't i i don't buy tops now unless there's a reason for me to buy it and i think the summerslam ones were the exception and i did absolutely terrible i got so i ordered obafemi and brock lesnar and i owe i ordered roman reigns and seth rollins and i think i got one gold parallel and i out of all of my orders then i ordered a bunch of the becky lynch ones and i ended up with a black out of ten two golds and an orange because the print runs on those are like four hundred versus like four thousand so i did pretty well on the becky lynch ones but the other one's not as much i the obafemi one was great i did get one of the variations of that with the cage and everything which is so cool what a card i think tops now like we need to have a conversation at some point in the future podcast about like sort of the impact here because the there was a john cena one of one from when he did the grand slam when he beat dominic mysterio for like a week or whatever that one of one foil fracture sold over the the last couple of days i can't remember if i put it in the big sales here at the end but that one sold there was a chelsea green that sold which i did put in the big sales i wanna talk about that but and we saw the logan paul one of one foil fracture sold for fourteen i'm so mad at myself for not even bidding on it i just got so caught up and i'm so mad i did not make a play on that card well it sold originally on it did ebay live for like sixty three grand correct i don't know what happened with that sale but this new one sold via fanatics i think or one of the auction houses and sold for like fourteen and change oh i wouldn't even be that yeah i know we'll talk about that here in a second but what it what like those cards have quickly become like a a pretty impressive sort of situation i have tim in the waiting room here i'm gonna tim if you're ready to go do you wanna give me a thumbs up and i can add you to the stage here through the last few days and all the awesome the grande americano one we were talking about being quote unquote ludwig kaiser's first autograph as grande americano which thought was cool so how's everything been going busy yeah very busy it was great to see you at summerslam yeah yeah you too yeah i'm disappointed i was in dallas i didn't get to see you but i got to see david for a little bit so where were you at we just crossed crossed paths oh so i think so you've been on before it's it's great to have topps back on we wanted to have you on just because we have universe released and we wanted to quickly catch up about that stadium club up for preorder this week which is another huge sort of release here that i know a ton of people have been waiting for and then we got some looks at the debut patches i wanna talk about as well but tell like just if you can give the the rundown of like if you had to take a look at universe this year and your reaction to sort of the first week of it being in in circulation and everything do you feel like this is what what are some of the things that you think collectors should be looking for snow in this product versus last year yeah so i mean universe is it was a new brand last year and i know it came out had a lot of positive positive vibes around it last year this year i think we stepped up a little bit on it we have a few new things that we brought you know we're we're pretty excited i mean i don't know if you've seen some of these slammed yeah case insert they're they're they're tougher than just a case insert i don't know if you yeah i think we've seen that yeah there there there's a few cases in between how these drop i saw the first one that maybe popped up that was kind of a surprise to a lot of people maybe one name that was a little surprising to some people first one out there yep so yeah i mean we're we're super excited about it i mean this is a really cool brand for us it's one that when we when we kinda created the brand it was about being just universe you know the wwe universe as a whole it's so we want the relics to include everything from the universe whether it's you know it doesn't just have to be the gear they wear it's mostly you know canvas ladders tables anything that could be used in a match or around the match i mean table calls you know all the different stuff that you might see so that's kinda the idea elimination like the one for i think there was an elimination chamber table cover from chicago i think it was in a rhea ripley card that i thought turned out absolutely awesome yeah yeah yeah steve posted it on twitter and people were like this is so cool yeah there there there's been so many unique things that we've been able to get from wwe that we've started adding into these products and this is a great place and i don't wanna call it a catchall but it is a place where you'll see the widest variety of of things that you can that you can find you know and and we want to kinda keep it something unique for this brand because in other brands you know you're gonna get gear you're gonna get boots you're gonna get you know the the tights the the t shirts all that stuff you're gonna see that in some other stuff so we wanted to make this one a little more unique you will see some t shirts and stuff in here too i mean i i know sometimes we're able to acquire the the t shirts they film a promo in or walk out to the ring in not necessarily in the match but kinda used around that that's still a a step above where a lot of the returns have been in touch yeah so you'll see you'll see a mix of all that different stuff and and we we'll we'll you know you just take a look at the authentication copy to see which which item you have and where it's from and and one of the things that we've been trying to do a lot more and and moving forward and that's that's one of our goals is to start tagging specifics if we can you know it's it's money in the bank from twenty six or money in the bank from twenty four whatever it might be to tag a little bit more and make things a little more personal to the to the collector and and that way you know it brings it brings i mean obviously our goal is to bring the the fans and collectors closer to the action closer to the superstar closer to the to the ring and and that's one way we can do that and that's something we're we're working on and we wanna get really good at that that's something that's on our on our radar yeah we were just having the discussion about tops now cards and i just won the i forgot i actually won a bid over the weekend the limit the mon oh jeez why am i drawing a blank backlash john cena versus randy orton one zero one just sold i won it i was there with my family so to me that means more to me because that i got to witness obviously last seen a orton match but if there was a relic from that match oh i'd be all in but for me to grab that one that fits perfect my collection a because the one on one orton b i was there to witness that so as wrestling collectors are you know this just getting us even closer to something in that moment especially if you were at it or you have the memory of that that is huge for all wrestling collectors absolutely i mean it's it's why wwe has i mean if you're fortunate enough to get good seats you get the chair to come home with yes you do i got i got my fair share of those so yeah yes that's that's i i have a photo of us from summerslam while holding those chairs i think you mentioned the slammed inserts i wanna talk about this briefly because the artist actually is somebody that tops partnered with to create the images on the card so it's not just like hey we're gonna apply a filter to some photos there's actually artists out there that topps is working with building these these awesome inserts i picked up the becky lynch just because i think it's one of the better looking cases that topps has done to date what was the process of working with the the artist here and how did this set come together so so it it was actually it was put together through wwe because this is an artist that they use as we kinda discussed earlier the it it is one of their essentially one of the artists on their list of of things that they'll do for their different promotions and and sort of things and it was really easy it was as simple as hey this is what we're looking for work your magic and and they delivered and they delivered like nobody else i mean those are those are awesome yeah we're super excited about them the the collector response has been huge a lot of them are already selling for quite a bit of money but i know that's not your goal but i think like you mentioned they're not typical cases i've watched probably forty fifty cases at this point i've maybe seen two of them so they are exceptionally rare cards very desirable i also wanna talk about the the the inclusion of those wwe logo cards that were previewed on social media so the the triple relics were used as part of universe last year as like a like a case hit relic hit almost this year the one of ones have like faces and and logos and all this different stuff in it the cena specifically has the stuff from his like farewell tour t shirts i i'm like floored by these cards like did you guys set out to purposely make these one of ones that much more of a chase in those special sort of inserts with the the logo man if you will of wwe yeah i mean that's always the goal is to make the coolest cards we can and then with with the low numbered stuff we we always wanna find the best pieces and we actually one of the guys on the team here he actually goes out to our warehouse where we have where we do our cutting of our relics and sometimes he'll be able to dig through the relics and be like hey can we make this piece right here that's awesome one from you all that kinda tag that and he you know he's out there with post it notes and a sharpie like okay i need this and you know i need this for this program this for this so we do try to do a lot more of that and the other part is we've had so much the access that we've got for these superstars is getting better every day the fact that we were able to to acquire a lot of these john cena what what they call him the superman suit where we were able to get like the t shirt the socks the headband the the towel all the different stuff the the fact that we were able to grab a few of these throughout the process of his farewell tour and i think including wrestling yeah i think you got like the full wrestlemania gear set which was insane we did you know we had like the the we had his suit and everything from the press conference from the first netflix with raw oh wow but yeah i mean throughout throughout this thing we've been able to just acquire so much and it's something you know and and you've been around this you guys have both been around wwe cards for a long time and it's just unmatched what we've been able to get and it's only getting better you know the fact that we're able to go to somebody like orton and get a pair of trunks or cena and get the whole suit you know the superman suit as as he likes to refer to it you know and and you know it it the stuff we're getting is amazing and i'll let you know another one that we we actually picked up from i think it was on a gosh it was it was just a raw smackdown i'm gonna say it was about three months ago one of the guitar picks from joe hendry oh that's really good that's awesome so surprise collector surprise that's gonna be coming soon breaking news here on this podcast love that i mean it's it's so amazing the stuff we have and we've been able to get you know and and if you could if you could see some of the stuff we've we've got it it's for for wwe fans it's amazing and for the collectors out there they're gonna absolutely just be blown away with some of the stuff another really cool thing and i i may have mentioned it the last time i was on but we have some of the tacks from the yeah i remember you saying that sell yeah yeah yeah so we have i mean we have all kinds of stuff so just get ready to be blown away as things keep coming we're we're trying to outdo ourself with every product we do so before we wrap up with stadium club you mentioned earlier kind of getting closer to the superstars and bringing collectors closer to superstars these debut patches have become a a like a spot them sort of thing when new wrestlers are coming to the show we've had triple a wrestlers debut on the shows wearing the the relics we've seen even last night we had lola vice and kehlani joining wear them some in choice positions others but like i i must say like ricky saints showed the first ever that we've seen that is completed so he's signed his debut patch it was earlier this year the card he showed on instagram like what are the wrestlers reactions when they see these cards because i'm i we've captured them for baseball i think over the last few years but we haven't seen the wrestlers do it i'm curious what their reactions have been most of these guys are absolutely blown away you know the the patches themselves for the for these young superstars as they're kinda just coming up that it it all makes sense to them because they're like oh why am i wearing the patch and and they're seeing it to light like oh here it is this is why i wore that patch on my debut this is really cool and then it's you know you get the ones like hey can i keep this and we're like no you know that you know what they some of these guys are collectors too and and it's really cool when they see it you know and and even the ones that aren't just kinda seeing stuff like and and i may have mentioned the kevin owens thing once you know he turned over some of his early early gear and he's like make this special don't just throw it anywhere make these special love that you know and then when he sees them on card and he's signing he's like okay cool this is this is really cool i'm glad you guys did something nice with him yeah and you guys have added the inscriptions especially kevin owens of all people but kevin owens i'm gonna tell you that guy is on his own you know we give him a little bit of direction on a few of the guys like hey it'd be cool if you could do something like this you know it's your first card or my first time signing my first chrome card but a lot of them i mean they just kinda do their own thing you know and we obviously when we're sitting with them we we do one on ones we're like hey if you wanna add something cool to the collectors have at it you know and my favorite still is the showed up yeah my favorite still is the the tiffany when she was kinda taking some shots at charlotte flair and i'm like yeah i actually acquired i acquired the what was it the exalted one zero one tiffany and she signed the whole card it's all over the thing so but another card i just bought over the weekend i was watching the texas game and it was not going good for the first three quarters for those who watch it so i go on ebay and i look at w w one on ones i would never thought i own a bubba ray deli in my collection but the universe from last year he inscribed get the tables three d and i'm like i need this card right now on card inscryption that's what i'm more focused on now is i'm starting to go after inscription autos or wrestlers that i've grown up watching because they're just so unique that's a moment that that wrestler took the time to do that now i guess yes we're seeing this in other sports but let's be honest nothing like we're seeing in wrestling and it's just awesome from a guy like i'm an old school i love on card i love inscriptions i'm getting the best of both worlds and if you add in relic to it even better it's a win win for everybody yeah and and that's part of it i mean we're like i said we're trying to take everything we do and make it better find and we try to outdo it every time you know like with with our k sets the k sets i mean it's cool that people are getting autographs people are getting relics well now we're doing these k sets that are that are really cool people are chasing autographs people some of these superstars have had autographs for a long time but now we're starting to add the inscriptions we're adding some really cool and when we let them kinda do their own thing with these inscriptions you'll see some coming up we've had we've had them come through and they're like hey are you okay to put these we're like absolutely when they're drawing on the card and doing little stuff yeah and it's like or they're like this isn't what what they were i'm like no it's okay let's trust me people will love it you know so yeah stuff like that it's it's amazing and it creates a new experience for the collector and a new yeah and a new collection almost it seems like you're gonna you're you're starting on a new collector journey with the inscriptions right yep yep i think it's really interesting because you mentioned the inscriptions sort of being like the videos because really we got three or four of them for the upcoming release of stadium club we had jacob fatou we had rhea ripley and we had a few others that they did the video of them signing the inscriptions and jacob went absolutely crazy put a bunch of inscriptions on it rhea did a little drawing stadium club is i i think on the last podcast you mentioned hey we wanna give more accessibility to collectors we wanna make some products that everybody can participate in and be accessible i think universe definitely feels like one of those products even though you're still delivering a lot of really high end hits along the way stadium club i think traditionally for baseball has been a pretty affordable product and offers a ton of really awesome photography which we're seeing again for this product as well but these inscriptions that they have the videos for and stuff and what you've been saying like stadium club still feels like it's a chase do you like what are some of the other things as it goes on preorder for for for everybody to buy from the tops website here this week like what would you say some of the the same sort of fun exciting stuff is that people should be looking for well stadium club i mean stadium club has been around for what thirty thirty nineteen ninety one nineteen ninety one make it feel good been around forever and it's always been known for the photography the you know the the action shots and just that crazy stuff that goes on around it and and it's no different so that's something that's really cool and it is you know you mentioned it's kind of that entry level for the collector but it does have the chase so that it's not just for the entry level but it's a great way to get in involved in it and you know again try and always try to bring them closer to the action closer to the ring closer to their superstars in stadium club this year of course we'll have like the beam team case hits that you're gonna be chasing oh yes i've been waiting for those triumbrance triumvents triumvents i can't say it but yeah triumvents triumviness all that yes all that stuff is coming so you're gonna see a lot of the same stuff you would see in baseball or the basketball football whatever it might be they're all there but it's but it's got the wwe twist on it right and then we're pretty excited because we got our first danhausen signatures coming in too yeah i had heard that danhausen had signed for this and yeah this is gonna be his first certified with us for wwe that's amazing those are the so like danhausen the the rise of danhausen in twenty twenty six is something to be studied because this guy has made the most out of his tv time more than anybody telling you yeah and this so having his autographs in in stadium club is a humongous chase and yes i know a lot of people have been asking when's danhausen coming when's danhausen coming now we get it in stadium club huge huge plus there and i'm gonna tell you i think these are gonna sell for some some real human monies some big human monies something like that right sorry i can't help myself no it's great and i think as the as wwe starts to move into its playoff season in january we're coming up on on wrestle main the road to wrestlemania all over again it's a little bit of a unique experience this year because wrestlemania is abroad but you know heading into war games which is gonna be in houston i believe so right in your backyard and like everything that's coming down the pike here looks absolutely insane we've gotten some great stuff previewed and kind of spoiler alert from the wrestlers themselves can't really control what they put on social media sometimes but man these things look awesome i'm really excited anything else that you wanna sort of offer up here before we wrap up i wanna i wanna be mindful of your time i know it's a busy day for you guys no this was this is awesome i i i really enjoy you know just kinda maybe breaking some news but just sharing some of this stuff and and i really appreciate you guys being so passionate about it because we are also very passionate about it we're all very you know i mean we're hardcore collectors i mean we're card geeks to say the least and we're very passionate and and it's something that like i've told you guys i've been watching wwe since i was about eight years old and i i just i love being around people that are passionate about the cards passionate about the industry and just passionate about the sport itself so so i really enjoy doing this and and i hope i hope what we're doing is making other people as excited as we are i i think i think it's been really well received over the course of twenty twenty six from the products that we've seen i i mean we've we've seen the wrestlemania patch autographs and everything that's been along with those for royalty you mentioned sort of the dating of those relics i i would love to see more of that if you guys are hinting that that's coming more frequently that's amazing but yeah i mean like i think you know it's not without there there's always gonna be criticism online there's always gonna be people that are not gonna have a good time but i think for the most part like what we're seeing is is definitely peaking a lot of interest and like you said if this is only the beginning and there's a lot more coming i can't wait to see what you guys have in store but yeah ryan anything else that you wanted to add here before we wrap up no i i think you guys are doing a wonderful job you're knocked out of the ballpark you're getting the collectors closer than we've ever been before keep being innovative keep doing on card which is is awesome that's just me speaking from my perspective and collectability but i we were talking about this earlier about the debut patches and how right now topps chrome next year is looking like it's gonna have a lot of wrestlers a stack list are we still gonna get we do we know if we're gonna be getting some of these people who are still debuting into chrome are we gonna be holding stuff back yeah so so essentially the way it works is just it it really follows a production schedule for us you know and we we have a hard cutoff of okay anything after here we can't get put into this product yeah so it's kinda like you know in baseball they kinda have like a june first cutoff for the i was talking about that earlier that's fine kinda the same thing you know and ours depending on the release dates can shift a a week or two or if there's a really big one it's like hey i know that we cut it here but can we add a week yeah we're we're we're flexible with that but i'm gonna tell you twenty seven shaping up with ova danhausen joe hendry i mean get ready can't can't beat it yeah it's gonna be a good one dan danhausen in the debut set first autographs in stadium club gonna be amazing i can't wait preorder for stadium club goes up this week here by the time this alright so after an amazing conversation with tops got a lot of awesome information let's talk about some of the insane stuff that's now happening as we're recording including for the like one of the biggest stories that i think we can talk about is the john cena wrestlemania patch auto at the time of this recording has crossed the two hundred and fifty thousand dollar mark i think on this podcast you and i both believe that this is gonna be heading this direction now we're there it will have ended i believe by the time this podcast goes live so hopefully next week we can talk about what the final hammer price ends up being it should be ending saturday night it should be ending this saturday night that that would be the so seventh nineteenth is what it ends so so the podcast will be live but we will be talking about this next week this is crazy i was wrong i thought this card the whole time was gonna do a quarter of a million we're there and it ain't done it ain't done and i think like all the controversy around it we get like yes sure fine but people don't care about that when you're actually trying to get a card that is as important as this one is and i think we all said and brett and i said last week we both believe that the controversy would not take away from the final price and we're already past where i think all of our reference points at least we're starting i think there's been some people that have predicted half a million but i think that we're gonna have to see how this plays out but two hundred and fifty k awesome for wrestling cards to get there awesome for another record to be set in this insane twenty twenty six that's already produced multiple seven figure cards on the sports side and you were just in dallas you were taught so you told me about all the insane stuff that was there and stuff that you even picked up and i think like if we're looking at wrestling cards just in general from the perspective of like hey now we've got a stake in the ground we've got a quarter of a million dollar card it's the first time ever in the history of wrestling cards this has happened it's an historic card nonetheless like where like do you think this will end even higher than most people are predicting and like what do you think this means for the rest of the wrestling card space it's it's definitely planting a flag in the ground and it's making a statement here for what this card is god's mercy or not this is still the card that everybody was searching for including oh yeah cat so i gotta think that he's in on this i wonder what other potential people that are on the outside space who don't do just wrestling but other aspects i think i've talked about this before do we can this get to a half a million at this point you have the right people bidding yes yeah for what it is it's a onetime deal we're already at a quarter we're not done we're coming down to the stretch on saturday i'm excited to talk about this next week but what this really does is definitely gonna drive other aspects of wrestling it's gonna get more eyes on the wrestling card space this is one of a kind this is something that is not gonna be replicated for john cena the wrestler this was the last ever wrestlemania patch the number seventeen world championship that was his final wrestlemania ever wrestling because obviously he was there commentating or whatever he was doing this year being the host i guess you could say but i'm excited to sit there and watch this and obviously the real which i'm sure we'll talk about as well on saturday while i have oh yeah five kids staying in my house because it's my son's birthday happy birthday buddy i love you happy easter birthdays some point this week not that you listen to podcast it'd be cool if you said daddy i'll listen to your podcast today wouldn't wouldn't expect that but i'm excited man my kids have said that they they go and find this stuff online you never know my kids are younger than yours my my kid does youtube videos of the neighbor kids and then he's like dad we got thirteen watches we got twenty seven followers did you watch our latest video i'm like no but if you wanna show me some i'll watch but now back to the scene here this is where i expected it to be at this point and now i'm curious what we're gonna be seeing it's going to it's already shattered it's gonna absolutely shatter i i can't say time can tell eventually we're gonna possibly see a wrestling card so higher in time but this is gonna be i think it'll be a while before we see this this is a standard and what other aspects of this other potential wrestling card down the line are gonna be as memorable as as you know notable monumental so many things i could say about this card for what it represents i got the popcorn ready a because i love popcorn b i'm ready for this man let's do this i am a huge popcorn fan myself well we're huge vikings fans we're huge popcorn fans two peas in a pot i'm addicted to popcorn it's bad it's really bad i know i go to the movies not to watch a movie but to have the popcorn no but that's beside the point that's beside the point movies are a popcorn delivery device i think the the understanding here is i was going to have sort of a lot going on to sort of like celebrate this going in unfortunately i have to be at a baseball thing for my son no unfortunately it's it's good you're what you're going to so i'm gonna be sitting there at the turn of the you're gonna be you're gonna be a zombie on your phone watching this let's be honest you're gonna be worthless being there but you need to be there for your yourself yeah absolutely and so i think that this will probably go late into the night the golden auction the summer one hundreds usually do and i can't wait to see where darius' card in the ria ripley that'll be a huge that's already over fifty thousand dollars so he's well on his way to potentially a six figure card there i like this is good this is good for wrestling cards this is awesome do you want me to ask you this real quick do you think this does the money that's gonna bring in yes this is an outlier for what it is do you think it delivers and drives up the other wrestlemania patches regardless of what this is do you think that those you don't think it has any change in to what they are i think i think the each card is i think brett has said on one of the other podcasts that we were doing yes great list by the way yeah each card is its own market and i think the john cena has so much going forward being that it's his last wrestlemania it's his blah blah blah blah we've talked about it to the nines here i think this card has its own market i think rhea has its own market i think centimeters punk has its own market becky lynch randy orton you name it it all depends on who wants it and how badly and i really want the becky lynch one i still haven't figured out a way to do that but i know there's a lot of people out there who want the the the stuff for their pc and i think summerslam patches are coming we saw them wear a man now at two different summerslams we've seen more wrestlemania patches those were worn at two different wrestlemanias these are going to be a thing and i've heard i mean we we had tim talk about some of the things that he believes are gonna be game changers there's a lot more that he couldn't talk about on it that i think we'll probably find out here very shortly but like you know when you look at the overall scope of what tops is bringing to this there is no limit like no limit the sky is the limit here and i would love to believe that this is gonna be the standard i the way things have gone we had a fourteen and a half million dollar sports card sale i don't think that lasts for very long and i think this could we could start to see similar things for wrestling cards yep just quickly to highlight because we did talk a little bit about universe with tim here and i was really happy to get his feedback i've watched some of the breaks and i know you were in dallas so it's a little bit harder for you to to sort of take it all in i ripped some of the boxes myself one was good one was about as bad a wrestling box as i've ever had and i if i had ripped that box and i was a new collector i probably would have stopped collecting wrestling cars on the spot given the price and what i ended up with but like i think there are a lot of cars in this product that are very very chase worthy we have the logos we have the inscriptions we have the foil fractures these slammed case hits and even the flashpoint case hits and then alias case hits which are the three that seem to be the rarest absolutely great looking cards i can't say enough good things about what top's design team did on those matt lang who i've talked to a few times has done a lot of work on universe in the past and i i think it's this whole set has really established itself as something to look forward to i think it did it a disservice putting out two in the same year but i think we all know why the delays probably prevented that from being successful so now if we wait until twenty eight or twenty seven or whatever to get the next year maybe we'll have a little bit more time to miss it and it'll it'll get a little bit more ahead of its time but i i gotta say i've been i've been sort of mixed on on how i came into this product i think i'm still mixed now it's not like a super crazy successful thing that i think i would chase like royalty but i i love what i've seen from the case hits i love what i've seen from the chase stuff but it's everything else that seems to be a little bit of a miss for me yeah time it for me for me personally it came out while i was obviously in dallas and then since then oh yeah football weekend between saturday game sunday and then sports i we just haven't had a chance i wanna rip this to my family i don't know when that opportunity is gonna come we will eventually do a case we do a case of every release but for now i i don't have a lot to go off of yes from what i've seen they look beautiful the answers you talked about the the case hits way better this year there's no question i did love the mask last year obviously because bray wyatt had one which was those were so cool those were cool so but i like what they added to the elements more inscriptions the relics the gold i mean i own several orton one on ones these cards really pop and they're very affordable i mean they are for a one on one standpoint for you and me you just bought a becky one and what you told me i was like yeah that's one thing i like about these you could buy a one on one for a legitimate fair price to add to your collection so i've been able to pick up several ortons for reasonable prices yeah me too and i i did buy i bought the two the nines one of one thanks to to for to the seller for for moving that to me i'll call it out on these slammed case hits man i gotta say like seeing them i'm gonna have one in my hands tomorrow i cannot wait they look so good and i think the the flash point and the alias are great signature targets so if you're doing in person signatures those are cards that i would put in front of a wrestler tomorrow if i could but yeah those are the types of things i think these triple relics with the one of ones like when you get down to the low parallels it's hard to miss with universe but when you get into like the the stuff that's out of three ninety nine and out of like it's it's really there's a lot of it out there and with the megas i mean it's affordable so that's i think that's what people are gonna want is this is accessible it will be accessible i know you told me earlier it was sort of driving up on secondary markets yep it's gonna yeah it's probably gonna get more expensive before it gets cheaper but i think over time like this will settle in probably the two hundred one seventy five range and that'll be a great spot for two autographs and a relic like come on you've seen some of the relics man they're awesome looking cards and i have the one of one becky lynch ladder relic from last year i have it in my case it's so cool to see thanks to santiago sports for selling me that and like just these cards they they add uniqueness to to sort of a a set that had no business being unique yep one of the things i did wanna call out and and tim alluded to it when he was talking is that logan paul does have a card in tops universe now we've been saying for a long time on this podcast when is this gonna happen when is this gonna happen it's happened and this is a special card he only has one in the product it wasn't on the checklist i hear it was very last minute coming together but this card is exceptionally rare it's gonna be exceptionally expensive i talked to somebody who's pulled one and put it on ebay for a very high price for a reason when you see this card and you understand what logan paul represents in the greater scheme of wwe and outside of collecting if this ends up being his only card which is definitely a possibility we're not sure at this point if there's gonna be more what's your take on this slammed card i mean sky's the limit for this card it you know i gotta think at some point we're gonna get a deal with logan paul to make more cards for somebody who loves cards yeah you gotta believe it but for the time being is yeah i think you got some money here in this card i i gotta think these are cases so how many of these actually are out there is the big question maybe yeah i'd say like fifty to a hundred if bingo bingo amount yeah so for me it's you gotta decide do you take the dollar now and know that hey i think there's a future where he gets it or do you hold it or do you put these back and say i think there's upsides with these that's that's the fork in the road you gotta decide as a collector and somebody who's possibly a reseller or whatever it's a tough one i'll tell you right now if i were to pull one i would just keep it yeah because i've talked about logan paul i'm mad i didn't bid on the tops now i just didn't even think about oh god and you're just throwing in my face after this the top's not what i want thank you so it went for fifteen grand on oh yeah i i like i i will say this like when logan paul has the level of influence that he does in today's celebrity culture and collecting culture specifically and he's got a company he's gonna be opening card shops i have to feel i have to a feeling he's gonna be the the rip it card shop or whatever his brand is mhmm like this is he is a major name in wwe he's a major name in collecting and i think this is a this is if this is his ends up being his only card and it's possible that it is and there's only fifty to a hundred of them good lord like look out yeah getting into some other big sales besides the logan paul one zero one faux factor that went for fifteen grand there was an even bigger sale and it seems like we're getting these mid five figure sales now once a week which is absolutely insane but as part of the fanatics weekly the one of one steve austin black prism one of one from twenty twenty three this is about as off centered as you can get it's a psa eight it's it's a amazing looking card it's probably the best photo that they use in all of prism with him on the ropes doing the signature hands in the air i can't say enough good things about this card except for the fact that it's crazy off centered to a visual degradation of the card but went for twenty seven thousand dollars i this is the the largest selling stone cold by himself obviously the rock and him went for a considerable amount of the dual autograph super but people are starting to appreciate this goat market these underappreciated goats and i think austin given the level of culture impact that he has is one of those people we've seen what's happened with allen iverson and shaq which i'll get to here in our title match topic peyton manning you name it all of these guys are finally getting their due and hopefully austin's the next guy in line yeah no i i love it and it's obviously another win for prism in the prism black game and it's i mean i'm let's be honest this prod probably sold one point for less than ten k i'm guessing i'm guessing in probably five to eight rings i think yeah i think steve pock bought it yeah yeah so i mean this is this is great man this is sky's the limit and i think we're gonna continue to see i think i i can't wait till us to look back a year from now i know this stuff sells for in a year versus now because let's be honest we're seeing the disney craze the marvel craze the non sports when's wrestling when's wrestling craze coming because it's still worldwide watched it might be we don't know we might just be sit back speaking of another huge prism sale the the we talked about this last week on the podcast the pro the rox twenty twenty two gold shimmer out of three this is a psa eight sold for six thousand seven hundred sixty six dollars his gold from twenty twenty four sold last week for like three grand so these cards have staying power again very off centered the the prism base vertical cards for twenty three and twenty four or twenty two and twenty three are are always off centered one of the production issues for these cards but this i love the gold chambers i like the gold chambers more than i like the gold but they're never gonna have the same kind of value but i think this obviously says a lot of good stuff for roq's gold prisms considering there's only thirty of them and ten from twenty two i'm guessing that's probably back into the thirty thousand range forty thousand range at a psa ten so you you never know man we could see a six figure sale of iraq gold here coming up if somebody wanted to put one up for auction at a psa ten yeah i i i think this card went undersold i know the gold shippers don't bring with the golds or i have a gold in my collection i'm happy about honestly i would have gone for this but somebody we know was showed interest so i backed off so hopefully that person won it i don't know if they did but i feel like in my opinion i know it's gold shimmer i think this undersold i really do i think whoever bought this should be very happy with what they got i agree just one last quick thing he did have a a an autograph out of ten of the rock is back above four thousand dollars again this is the finest match not seeing a lot of rocks they're all redemptions yep so this is a live from finest last year out of ten sold for four grand i mean like the rock is a name like this this stuff was at two twenty five hundred for a while and now we see one of these sell i love this card it's such a great card but yeah seeing this at four grand is is i mean he's not signing that's the thing and like i said we have redemptions out you gotta assume most people wanna rock out on their collection so they're just starting to dry up because we only had the one plus year and twenty five of it and finance came out later in the year this is it we had chrome and finance and then we've got redemptions from loyalty out and chrome this year we've got redemptions out i have several out you know so until we see those we're gonna see these other rocks from the past year start going up because that's less and less out there in the market so your favorite set flawless mhmm twenty twenty four flawless hulk hogan hollywood hulk hogan this is out of eight and this is not a star swatch this is just the plain horizontal has a nice relic but sold for thirty two fifty i like again you you really can't go wrong buying anything from flawless doesn't matter who the wrestler is as long as they're somewhat important their cards are gonna be expensive yeah flawless man it's not even done it's still gonna keep going up i put this on here i know you're gonna i only the only reason i put this on here is because i know it's a card you've looked at before this this is the twenty twenty tops finest wwe superfractor seth rollins autograph b g s nine five in a brand new holder this looks like it was just holedered yesterday and it sold for thirty five hundred dollars via best offer i mean seeing seth rollins' finest super fractures from twenty twenty sell for thirty five hundred dollars in a public sale is huge i think seth rollins is one of the most undervalued people in wwe right now this is hopefully a good sign for his card no knowing from buying his one on ones for a while this this is a big number for for this card i feel like this is i feel like this is more in the twenty five hundred range i saw it pop up but i think the buy now is significant higher i wanna make an offer on but this is the monday night messiah rollins here yes this is what we got so not one that i'm like covid era i i don't need to have it but no a great sale for the seller here i mean that's it's a big number for rollins for what this card is i'm gonna fly through these last ones we had a laney reed sapphire pink one of one i'm not gonna even try three thousand dollars the autograph pink from this year's sapphire laney reed signed more cards than anybody in chrome it feels like and she's been called up this is a a a a very big sale for somebody that has mhmm accomplished some but you know still has a long way to go but i wanna say across the hobby basketball football baseball the pink papas are having a moment and i don't understand like personally i it's not my favorite i have the becky lynch thankfully but i i don't know what to say man like these pinks have gone absolutely crazy and i have a feeling it it kinda relates to the disney craze a little bit but these cards are insane yeah they're just collective obviously this is laney's rookie card here but these papas mister papa georgi as i like to call them continue to bring big numbers and i think that's gonna stay the same thing i think this is just a popular thing in the hobby last one that we'll cover here the chelsea green from when she won the title this is out of ten so keep in mind this is a tops now redemption out of ten sold for nineteen seventy five there is no confirmation that matt cardona bought it but he's bought literally every other big car that she's ever had this is a humongous number for a card out of ten and it's a redemption these tops now cards are impossible to pull especially for a moment like this but i was floored by this price that is i first i'm like oh the one zero one i'm like wait that's the black to ten i had no idea this is a big number so i gotta think maybe matt bought it but it's big for her i mean i get it it's it's her first title win but this is you would expect the super to bring more than this so sorry the foil factor we call i wouldn't know because i'm anti ripping tops now i'm just gonna buy the ones i have the worst luck in history so i just one i just stay away from so alright let's we've been on for a while here yes we have so let's get it here the title match topic this week i wanna talk about shaq and iverson and peyton manning so shaq's market is up two hundred and sixty four percent in twenty twenty six iverson's market according to carr ladder up two hundred and sixteen percent in twenty twenty six the underappreciated goat market manning included in that starting to have that run starting is the wrong word it is well into that run how does this translate for wwe guys looking at specific people maybe like an austin or a mick foley or a kane or an undertaker even though they're they're still very expensive by wwe standards they're still not at a level that we're seeing like like a a rock is is at nineties nostalgia is a big deal in wwe what's your thought process here h b k yes i think his market he is arguably my mount rushmore is it it's hbk it's orton and rowland good call he is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers pound for pound to wrestle for who he was he was before his time his card should be worth way more than what they're worth plus let's be honest his autograph looks like a little something everybody likes to a skateboard i guess you could say a skateboard hbk was so revolutionary and like i said before his time i feel like his market has been undervalued his one on ones do bring pretty pretty big money because i mean he is considered one of the all time greats but if you're talking in that era another guy would be a brett hart type guy another guy who could go pound for pound in the ring if we're talking nineties we know attitude era this was before you know we had brett hart was out going into the attitude area he went to wcw hbk was going through obviously the back pain the surgery's out for a while we know that austin and rock wore that but let's be honest the passing of the torch was us was hbk to austin yep that's why panini made my one of my favorite ever the passing of the torch of shawn michaels in austin i don't wanna say i'm on record how many i own but it's a lot because i think it's the greatest wrestling card in my opinion ever made so again from that standpoint if you're gonna talk shaq and iverson those are the other two guys i think that need to be considered in this conversation when you go okay austin rock nineties k shawn michaels bret hart right there yeah agreed and and like like i i've heard on podcast like sector movement or whatever cage called it like i think like there's a lot of money that's in the hobby right now that's just moving from place to place wwe still hasn't seen the the benefit of that quite yet but man like the the room that exists for guys like hbk you mentioned brett hart you know all those guys that really drove the the conversation in the nineties is so big because the top of the market for cena and rock and roman is like way up here and then you have guys that are kind of like in this middle tier two hovering but they are mount rushmore guys for a lot of people out there like i'm curious like it's it's interesting how this could shape up over the next couple of months but i know you're very tied into a lot of these markets and i see the shaq market going nuts and like of course like shaq is a generational player griffey among those guys too where they're like they defined a generation of our pop culture knowledge and everything shaq was in movies and ads and reebok and the pump and everything like of course his market should have been bigger than it was but he's like he's never been considered in the same breath as a lebron james or a michael jordan so like in the same token like hbk and bret hart are likely your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler and yet they never get talked about in the same breath as a rock or an austin because he didn't have the same cultural impact so i think for if you're looking for the playbook on how to throw your money around and and keep things on the table and and really start to see some movement maybe those are the types of plays that you would look at as like hey these guys are very underappreciated you can still get a shawn michaels autograph for a hundred bucks you can get a bret hart autograph for fifty bucks like all of those things are very affordable because you absolutely cannot find any autograph in basketball at that level or football at that level even close to it for a lot of these underappreciated nineties guys even though they're underappreciated they're still vastly more expensive the biggest drawback in this in this discussion that we're having is we're talking about shaq and iverson they dominated the nineties and who they were but they also had the insert type cards to go with it let's be honest wwe cards in the nineties outside the wcw and wbo autos were there was nothing like that so when we're talking griffey and bonds we had all the nineties inserts you can get bond that's what another one a lot of this stuff that's driving up is because of those types of card but if you wanna go wrestling let's look at okay fleer had it for a while they did some really cool stuff the on card autos the match used up but then let's talk about twenty fourteen topps chrome wwe with the gold refractors and stuff like that i think from the wrestling standpoint we know let's be honest shaq and iverson are gonna keep signing we know shawn michaels and bret hart gonna keep signing as long as they get a better body opportunity this opportunity i think from a wrestling standpoint again i know we always say prism prism prism but you could think outside the box because topps chrome did some cool stuff throughout the years finest had some opportunities there when they did a heritage the o five heritage autos the tv ones which by the way had the roddy roddy piper autograph which is one of my favorites in my collection yeah because they were on card the tvs they had the eighty nostalgia to them there's opportunities that there were there in the mid two thousands unfortunately that we couldn't get in the nineties for wrestling cards and i think that's a drawback and why we're seeing the shaq iverson market is because of those nineties cards that go inside because o i e i was six seven eight nineteen years old watching this guy play collecting those cards whereas wrestling i was ten eleven twelve thirteen watching shawn michaels and what i thought was his prime not had the cards that coincide so to our listeners to listen you gotta go okay there weren't those cards then but what can we go to that's a good investment yes we say the name prism think outside the box think about where you could go to pivot to put your money or collectability into that is out there at later years versus nineties my only thing here is the nineties were a very troubling time for a lot of these wrestlers and bret hart and shawn michaels are aren't caught up in that the way ric flair is isn't caught up the way that hulk hogan is and i think that's what makes them attractive to a younger generation who doesn't wanna collect somebody known as a womanizer or as a racist or whatever and i think if you look at these guys no matter whether it's true or not because shawn michaels definitely had his problems in the world trust me but he's not caught up by myself yes but he's not caught up in it the same way that flair and hogan are and let's be honest bret hart's not likable i mean as you never know absolutely not if you if you like bret hart what he say yeah exactly so sorry to interrupt but it's no no you're right but i'm saying they're not caught up in the in the no the that type of stuff but bret hart is a very controversial character shawn michaels is a very controversial character look at like there's one name that we haven't ever talked about on this podcast that i think is is worth bringing up and his name is dusty rhodes dusty rhodes has very much a huge impact on nxt he has like one or two autographs only and they are highly coveted and hardly hard to find i think those cards have a huge runway i know a lot of people protect them like they're their children the dusty cody is a big big big one especially the dusty and cody one but when when rest when non people like non wrestling people come into this place like they looked at guys like flair and hogan and dusty and those guys flair and hogan signed a ton and dusty did not because he died tragically so early because of his health concerns and you know there's other wrestlers like that terry funk roddy piper you name it all controversial people for the eddie guerrero eddie guerrero is another one kurt henning i mean macho man only had a few i mean what you got packed yeah yep yeah the x pack and the wcw and wo i mean those are things i have a macho man collection i still need an eddie bad i have a rowdy i mean i think it's a good way to it's good conversation here because these are things that are rare i was having a conversation about wilt chamberlain how he only has so many upper deck certified for auto guests i have two in my collection you know i think wilt chamberlain as high as those are going has potential to keep going up this is what we're talking about people yeah and as much as people wanna buy jackson dart and you know justin jefferson the jerseys we're wearing and like all this other stuff like people wanna buy people people wanna buy players that have been there done that mhmm and i think that you know for guys like you know the ones that we're mentioning these are the greatest wrestlers of all time and they have very few cards eddie guerrero rey mysterio wore an eddie guerrero shirt in the on that show in mexico last night again time stamps sorry but like i think like that just shows the impact that eddie has dominic multiple people do the frog splash in today's wwe because of eddie guerrero and he has very little value comparatively which is a shame right but anyways let's end it there because i know this has been a marathon we we went a little bit over on a few things
