it's episode sixteen yes it is i have returned from wrestlemania adam and brett how we doing boys i wrestlemania week man what what an absolute show was like everything was going crazy we had to have brett join us because i know he enjoyed as much of it as we did and i think it's only fair to to make sure we've got the trio here to to respond brett hopefully you had a good week last week you've already got a good start to this week yes i had a great time i went to chicago and just watched wrestlemania with my best friend on his couch he has a two and a half year old and it was fun because it was kind of his first exposure to wrestling and wrestlemania and it is so fun because i i remember being that age being exposed to wrestling and watching his eyes light up for oba and brock it was just incredible and of course it was it went late so had to put him to bed at a certain time and watching the pain suffering and agony of a a young kid being pulled away from wrestlemania oh no was was something else but yeah man great weekend excited to be here and and talk wraps with you yeah i think like it like it was early enough like ryan and i were texting as he was leaving the stadium he's like it's still sunlight out here like those days like it was weird still early you you guys said it was late i'm like it it started there at three o'clock and i think we were done like seven i don't remember man it was just like it did not feel like the normal well clearly it wasn't the normal five to six hour mania days it was what like three and a half four hours kind of is that what it was it wasn't it was not very long it felt like it was rushed to i mean everything was done right well i would say sunday was done right i i got my thoughts about saturday i think a lot of people do too but so yeah it was weird it was nice having my kids there because it didn't run late for them to where they were exhausted and tired and crabby so we got out certain good time got back would have actually dinners at the hotel and then kicked in the room relaxed so it was great it was interesting i'll leave it at that nice so as we discussed in the last podcast we are this is the first or this is supposed to be the last episode that we were gonna do on the original run of book to last which was sort of the road to wrestlemania as we mentioned last week now we are ready to go for another year so by thank you to to brett for joining us first of all but also providing us with this platform it's been a wild ride as we've experienced but excited to be back for another year so thank you and just wanted to give you a chance to to open it up here and then we'll get into the opening pyro yeah i i'm really excited about the next turn of book to last this has been such a fun project to watch evolve and take shape and i'm always a big believer that the most interesting and the most engaging content usually comes from content that is hosted by individuals who care about the subject matter and are passionate about it and it's undeniable just after you know sixteen or fifteen episodes this being sixteen that you both are awesome at delivering this so i enjoy it i know so many other people in the wrestling card space enjoy it so excited for the next chapter of book to last awesome thank you brett we are both excited to be a part of this and cannot wait for what's in store for the next year man do we have some plans let's let's let's say it next say that so let's get into it we're going wrestlemania wall to wall here this is the wrestlemania edition we're gonna go as deep into this as we can in about an hour i know we've got a lot to talk a lot tops did not disappoint this week and i think like as we're starting in the opening of wrestlemania with night one like i i think the online discourse around this could not have been more different night one versus night two and you know it's just it's crazy to me that there are all of these situations that propagate through almost two separate shows it felt like and i'm just like ryan just because this was the night you flew there for let's start with you like talk about like we we will we'll go into each of the matches that really deserve the the attention but like as you were walking into the stadium you got to experience your first wrestlemania and like everything that transpired like what were your overall thoughts on night one disappointed honestly i mean i think the the match that's sold tonight was gunther and rollins which i expected to be a great pound for pound match breaker coming back was awesome you know not really any surprise there i think the biggest surprise was is obviously i flew out there to watch randy orton get number to fifteen and number fifteen did not happen i really wanna i i i think we all wanna know what happened here we're hearing a lot of rumblings that it was switched that day randy's in some back pain or there's some injury there we don't really know i know i think we squashed the whole randy and mcafee which i wanna say for the record i hated the fact and i'm wearing the shirt right now that mcafee and i like mcafee don't get me wrong i i'm a mcafee fan i like him a lot but i hate the fact that you get cody right here on the stadium and you have randy orton but then pat mcafee with his name you did not need that like just keep it randy orton and cody rhodes so maybe they're repivoting and restorylining this to where they're going to have just an orton versus cody no interference beat the crap out of each other maybe that's where we're getting to i don't know but i was telling you guys earlier this the amount of randy orton shirts you saw there versus cody was night and day i would say it was eighty to ninety percent randy orton shirts and very minimal cody rhodes shirts so i think everybody was there for randy to see that and obviously i'm disappointed did i but i i the only highlight was is the punt's back that was highlight i love that so that was the way to end it that was the the way his eye the eyes was just disgusting as we saw had to cancel all his appearances on sunday he had to cancel everything because he had like staples in his head apparently stitches maybe concussed i don't really know so overall night one and night two i mean did tko book night one and triple h everybody else night two that's what we're hearing because like you said you saw two different wrestlemanias in night two oh my god but we're talking about night one right now but i gotta ask you were you pretty excited for becky to win at gellman i was very excited and like clearly i mean like when your team wins the title you know you get excited and when becky wins a title at wrestlemania you get excited was the match a five star banger no but it was never going to be aj lee is you know fresh off of ten years on the shelf and i never expected it to be a twenty minute like you know wrap fest you know whatever but it was good it was one of the better matches of their of the ones that they've had aj did good brecky did did good and and i think the stuff with jessica carr was was funny and and awesome you know the it was it did what it was supposed to do but like i don't think anybody's gonna look back on on this entire wrestlemania and be like oh man that becky lynch match was amazing yeah i mean brett what are your thoughts here on some of these matches yeah i think you know what stood out to me and i was texting you guys i thought the gunther and rollins match was absolutely brilliant a master class in wrestling two of the best in the world just tearing each other apart and i understand for the storyline but i wanted a clean finish so bad and right yeah i we saw breaker and of course there's the story and it all makes sense and but man i just wanted to see a clean finish but that i don't know if i'll really look back on anything from night one you know two to three years from now but probably if i do it'll be the gunther rollins match those guys just killed each other it was awesome yeah i think like like overall like i think all the matches were good they were just short right and why okay and and to stop you there real quick because you guys are watching on tv versus me right so i'm there what the heck like vakira is so dominant and it felt like that was so rushed and did not make her look the vicar we've been seeing what do you guys have thoughts from watching on the tv because obviously it's different you know being there it didn't make any sense okay it it sounds like in you you know you you believe whatever you read and or you don't believe it but it sounds like liv and vicar were both really banged up and i don't know if that meant shortening the match time or what but i i night one i was just i left just wanting so much more wrestling that's that's where i was at yeah and that was the vibe there too yeah the headbutt that from the raw right before i mean like liv's eyes were black like you know you could tell like it was i mean i mean they were all kinda like a little rough around the edges and i think you know i i oh my god liv's new theme song is so god awful like i just think it maybe want to win even more but like you know i think doing that performance on the stage like just it looked awful like the whole the whole setup was bad like it it you know i thought they really told a great story where they literally tore each other apart after that headbutt where it was like you know we mentioned on the podcast last week and like all that stuff like it it wasn't a bad build like i i think they they told the story they needed to tell but you know the match being six and a half minutes was they needed at least five more but to your point maybe there's there's always stuff that we wanna speculate on that we just aren't gonna be really that that clued in because we're not sitting in creative listening to them talk about it but i thought like you know when it like the worst kept secret page coming back like that was spoiled way ahead of wrestlemania really unfortunate everybody knew it everybody knew it everybody like it was i hate when that happens like i i get why it happens i understand how it happens but it just sucks because like i am not a bella's fan i think that's pretty clear but you know the moment like paige coming back is is big even though i don't think she's gonna have a humongous impact long term like she's only thirty three like i didn't know that like she is really still pretty young when she yeah she was super young when she won she got called off from nxt and won the first night so adam at the end of the day saturday night you went three and o with your girls becky liv and the bellows man what does it feel like i i had a great night i had a great night and cody i'm huge cody anyway mania night one was made for you my friend it was it was right after night one did anything happen in night one that you think dramatically changes the wrestling card landscape for anyone just after night one i think if anything it probably brought it down a little bit i think it hurt vakir's car i think vakir's cards now will will drop i i don't think it matters for cody and randy obviously bianca's announcement will probably hurt her car she's gonna be out for what minimum a year and a half to two years probably i mean she's already been out a year too like that's i know crazy i mean like good for her you know but you gotta look here was there any positives out of this may pages probably page cards all her cards with page which were done obviously before she left and went to aew i mean she might have been the biggest winner out of everybody here breaker returning but breaker's cards really didn't cool down that much so i mean night one i i would say page's biggest winner lot of i i think vakir probably the biggest loser just because her cards were so high and they can only go down unless she left there as the champion i think she'll be a champion again here very soon i just don't see them not getting her back in that role but what are you guys' thoughts i think paige only has a couple of autograph cards she has a couple in chrome from yep yeah trans those transcended twenty nineteen autographs are already expensive but they're gonna go up even more because they're just so limited they only did one version of them so i don't think she was in twenty twenty or twenty one because i think by then like the they didn't weren't able to get the card signed but those twenty nineteen transcendents if you're holding those just for whatever reason you're a fan like you that was a very good night for you liv's car like liv she's like she's gonna get a bump she's now the champion she's gonna get a ton of focus on tv we already saw that with with monday night raw but like i i i don't think you her cards will go down i think they'll she'll get a nice bump at least for a little bit even though the match was i think yeah yeah has the vakure patch been pulled yet because i'm just thinking about her break prices and what happens with those post mania only roxanne and solruca or sol raka and i think like if you know you know and like it's i think like with soul and roxanne perez like those are two of the three biggest right so the four julia two are yeah yeah well julia but i think like her values have really come down since they've sort of like messed up her booking but yeah vakir by far is the is the is the chase and she is as far as i know has not been pulled no alright let's let's take a look at night two because i so i watched the first hour with my kids we were having some pizza and whatever and to brett's point like from before the opening match is obafemi versus brock lesnar now we knew that coming into this brock does things as efficiently as brock ever does and we knew it wasn't gonna be a you know a thirty minute match but just the presentation of the entire thing worldwide audience on espn seeing the next big thing and the old next big thing face off in this stage with the way that it sort of transpired even the crowd was hyped for a clothesline like it was it was palpable in the stadium my kids were like who is that guy and it's just like he just he he commands attention right the match was the start of wrestlemania for me the presentation the entrances it was as old jr used to say it was like business is about to pick up and it was phenomenal phenomenally booked not too much time they got what everyone wanted i at the end there i was i was just like do not drop brock because that could completely destroy everything that i had built to this point because he is no small man but yeah i just thought it was the beginning of the oba era it really was and then we obviously saw which reminded me very much of this is my yard promo post wrestlemania that roman gave that oba gave yeah last night on raw and yeah man it was just it was electric i i ryan what was it like being there man i'll tell you what yeah everybody's hyped up to go night one but man night two that crowd the atmosphere opening this with this match right here set the tone for the night and i'm just going back thinking of all these matches and there just was not a bad match and that match right there the atmosphere of oba the crowd the excitement you could just feel and and even brock i mean the crowd was loving both you know obviously everybody wanted to see oba but man we just we're just like this is crazy we've never seen somebody manhandle brock lesnar like this they wanted to do this years ago with with omos well we know omos can't wrestle or hold a mic or anything braun strowman yeah braun strowman as well i mean don't forget about the monster of all monsters sorry i forgot about that yes i mean this was what the next brock lesnar generational moment was we were there but to see lesnar retire the fans were just cheering respect i mean stand standing ovation for him by everybody something you didn't see coming it sounds like it wasn't scripted we're hearing when he threw up the axe he was letting him know that this was his you know doing the emotion on him and heyman you guys obviously saw on tv but that match overall was just like holy shit like literally like we we kinda knew it was going to be but until you saw it you just didn't know how great it was gonna be and that was just a great what seven eight minute match all around but it was perfect awesome on all levels i hope that they're not building a storyline to where brock comes back and and he has to face q and third i really hope brock went out on his terms and said no that would squash every not squash but in my opinion would hurt oba and he couldn't be the guy to do that that was respect brock was giving to him in that moment to say this is the guy this this is the guy that could beat me this is the only person that i don't think i can actually beat you know overall because he beat used to beat roman we know that so love it what are your guys' thoughts on that because that was a big moment in in night two big moment wrestlemania it was a question that i wanna throw back to you because this is what i'm thinking about and i think about brock lesnar and just his catalog of cards over the years and you know he he commands you know some high prices on some of this stuff but you wouldn't classify lesnar as kind of a tier one guy it's probably because a lot of the start and stops disappears come back but after you know the baby face exit you know hanging it up the emotion on his face i as he's walking to the ramp i couldn't help but think about wrestling cards and i just thought like does does this give lesnar like this nostalgia bump because it's undeniable i mean just look at his career and credentials obviously at the top of it ending the streak but yeah like what do you think if this is it for brock lesnar what do you think it means for his cards long term you know i would like to say like you know the have you ever i don't know if you guys are fans of freakonomics the podcast but they do this whole podcast called the legacy of a jerk and like how people like to you know look back nostalgic and and think more positively of people than they actually deserve because they've passed away or they've left or whatever and i think like lesnar was widely hated for many many years among all fans because he held the title was never around like there's a lot of stuff all the stuff with vince mcmahon now and his interactions with people too we're not he's he's a prickly guy right yeah and you know i think that has some effect on his collectability people wanna collect people that they identify with and you know i'll be i'll be the first to say like he's from minnesota so you would think like as somebody from minnesota this would be my guy but you know i just never like i loved watching people beat him but i and i loved watching him sort of come back and do those massive returns but like i never really cheered for brock lesnar to win a match right ever like even when he was wrestling roman at summerslam when they did the tractor that pulled the ring up and all like i didn't want brock to win that even though he was the baby face so i think like that's always the challenge with him specifically he's one of the only wrestlers out there besides the rock and a few others to have football cards as well as wrestling cards and i think there's there's some collectability in his ufc stuff too like he is insanely decorated he is one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports like he literally walked out of wwe walked on to the minnesota vikings and almost made the team if it weren't for a motorcycle accident there is no other human on this planet that could do that and it's just insane to me like so theoretically given his titles in ufc and wwe he should be among the top tier guys the goats but the the controversy follows you in that respect in a way that it really hasn't for hulk hogan so like that beloved sort of stature doesn't apply to brock lesnar like it does to hogan even though they're similarly controversial in the in both of them yeah i he's a generational type of wrestler and i mean i i think koba may be taking the reins obviously taking over now but i do think we see a bump now i think people are gonna see and respect what he did as a wrestler mean look how like he sells so well in matches so incredible in this one he just gets it up here mentally and he's just physically a freak of nature so i think this right here if this is the way he goes out and it stands true i do think come national you will be seeing more people wanting brock lesnar cards asking for brock lesnar because he was always a weird sell there's never really been that super collector brock lesnar to really come forward i don't know if we'll ever get that but i think now as affordable as his cards were especially his one on ones because i've owned them and i was like oh this should be worth more than it wasn't and he was always a a very hard move but i think it goes back to what you were saying adam i think you were spot on also you know comes in dominates goes to football leaves goes to ufc comes back you know he's been like a roller coaster of an a freak of nature athlete but whatever he stepped into he was just amazing at it i mean you don't like can i can i interrupt i'm sorry right no interrupt no interrupt figured something for me think about the way kevin durant is think thought about in basketball right good comp very he he's been with or james harden right like he's been with so many teams he's been insanely successful like no one has had the level of success long term that kevin durant has had save maybe ten to fifteen guys right in the history of basketball but no one really collects him because they he played for so many teams whereas somebody like derek jeter or tom brady to the end of his career like played for one team and like that really solidifies everything randy orton is a lifer for wwe and that that means something to a lot of people right the one thing to go with with on kevin durant is and i'm a texas fan i've rooted for him his whole career he's an all time great the thing with durant is is that he couldn't beat him so he joined him you gotta remember he joined the warriors because he couldn't beat him lebron james didn't join the celtics he did not go to the team that he couldn't beat he went to another team so he could go beat them again that's a different story lebron but you gotta remember durant just made the everybody hated the warriors everybody was like what the heck like they're like the super like they took the heat injected steroids in them and got an even better team and just went and dominated so again i think that goes what hurts durant's values is obviously a he's bounced around so many teams but b people remember well he he lucked okc to join the team that they couldn't beat that everybody hated and then won with him so that's my opinion much like brock lesnar but you know could be yeah good point good comparison there's there's a a lot of things you can say about brock that no one else has done but you look at like when i think about brock lesnar and i think about his cards i think you can go i you can put probably randy and cena in this conversation you go back to two thousand three flair all the way up into tops chrome twenty twenty yeah twenty twenty six tops chrome and he has you know cards in all of those sets so i i think like if you have nostalgia for brock lesnar or you've never collected brock lesnar there's a lot of opportunities probably right now to get involved in some set or multiple sets because he's got a ton of cards he does for sure all over and like you said ufc as well i actually acquired and i threw it back at because you know they only did three years of ufc prism i think it was as well i acquired a psa nine or ten gold lesnar and i was like it was dirt cheap it was a hundred bucks i was like i'm just gonna buy this throw it a box why wouldn't you buy it it was just like throw it in a box hundred bucks jeez i i was like something i was showing i'm like i'm just gonna buy this like i just i don't need it but i want it because to me it's just no brainer for a great as he is so it's still sitting in a box and they'll probably sit there until one day when it's worth a lot more and i decide to sell it so so yeah i think like just to get moving a little bit here because i we love to chat about everything regards to this like that match to your point brett started wrestlemania and then as if like that wasn't a big enough spectacle we get into this ladder match which i think was oh my god like a a train wreck in the best possible way and i usually cannot stand these matches where no one sells and no but they were beating on each other so hard that they were forced to sell because i think they were in so much pain from taking these bumps every person in that match including rey mysterio at his age taking the kind of shots that he did was beyond impressive one of the most insane ladder matches i think we've had since wrestlemania seventeen and like i like you you were just like okay if we stopped wrestlemania night two after that latter it's probably better than night one like let's be honest here it was one of my favorite ladder matches that i've seen in like recent era and i know pinta won and pinta i i thought they should probably keep the title on pinta the whole presentation but i i left with like wow great next step for jevon evans like he was the mvp of the match i think he obviously is someone who is highly desirable from like a prospect perspective and man to be that young and to be on a stage that big and to take the risk he took in that match and just nail it it to me this was my jevon evans is the real deal after that match i that's how i i i left it yeah it made me feel good buying those two super fracture inscription dollars but i i mean i've seen something special we i remember we broke everything down and boy i'm eating my words on trick williams and not giving him a higher grade but javon evans i stand by it kids got a bright future he's young they don't need to rush it i think getting pitted back on it but i'll tell you what i think the biggest winner to me outside of that i was thoroughly impressed with jd mcdonough he was incredible he was taking wrestle he could wrestle he showed it he finally but you know he took crazy bumps man insane in that match was all around great the problem is he has like the worst luck and gets freak injuries and gets hurt and he can never stay healthy but i was thoroughly impressed by him his cards are extremely extremely cheap and and he's in a bright light being in the judgment day could be a sneaky long term buy he'd probably buy his autographs for what ten bucks fifteen bucks on card i mean what's it gonna hurt to take a flyer on somebody like that that could and showed you that he could wrestle because he just doesn't get that opportunity but i think he made the most of it as anybody i i'm trying to figure out you know russo was was good in the match but out of everybody there it was like you had all these high flyers and then you had russo but i think we had him because we'd have after i had raw you know what we saw on raw so again javon evans man when he did oh my god everything he did he's so good no i i mean we just knew it i mean i'll give rusev credit man he took that cutter like crazy man i was like i'm just glad nobody died that was a big mistake because i thought people died tweeting that out i was like if they walk away from this match with nobody injured like they deserve all the credit for doing the things that they did and not having any injuries it didn't seem like anybody got hurt which was crazy even though they were kinda limping around probably after and they and then they have jd mcdonnell like go and do that match with finn balor right after like that's so mean taking a beating but just look at you could just tell look at this look how fast we broke down night one and we're only in two matches into night two and you can just tell the excitement how like how pumped we are about it we're just like we don't wanna stop talking about night two yeah so ladder match was great loved i i mean like i i jevon evans is there's always gonna play be a place for guys like that my only feedback on jd mcdonough he's gonna get slapped with the title a good a good hand right like he's just there and he's always gonna put on a good match he's always gonna be the guy who works hard so they'll put him in matches and to put people over and i think that'll damage his career i'm not disagreeing but i think again for his price point he's affordable what's it gonna hurt to take a flyer and and buy some of the stuff and i mean maybe now i'm gonna be more prone to getting a jd mcdutton our auto out in the shop to maybe throw some of those back in a box and just see what the future holds you know yeah for sure rhea ripley jade cargill it reminded me of like do you remember back when the hitman and shawn michaels and i'm not comparing this to the wrestling style so don't i'm not going there don't worry shawn michaels comes down on a zipline from the top of the rafters and and brett heart gets up on the ring and like does this you know he's like i've got this you've always liked this and it's just like here is rhea ripley coming out in like full zombie like a state asylum gear and she looks like a million dollars and she's got pyro and she's got all this other stuff and then you know and before that jade cargill comes up in her get up and like just walks to the ring and it's just like yeah i'm that i i'm doing that i'm like if there was ever an indication that rhea ripley was just gonna murder her that bad i was like that's it's like that and just the entrances alone and we'll get to a few more in a second here but i was like oh my god like rhea ripley is winning this match it's not even close i think it was very obvious as you indicated i will say this and this might surprise a little bit with the excitement that we've had up until the main event that we'll talk about this match was my favorite match on wrestlemania because it it just overexceeded my expectations i thought it was jade's best match in wwe yep the fact that she pulled out the one winged angel i was like are you kidding me like at the inner i'm not a big interference fan but the way the interference was used to bring in eo yep it like the match is built perfectly and the conclusion was the right conclusion but i i was surprised and that's why i enjoyed it so much yeah it was i think jade is i i've called her the female goldberg for a while and that's basically what she represents but i think like she put on a good match and like clearly they're invested in her she's gonna get better but hopefully goldberg really never did but she probably will and like i think like from that perspective like if you look at the way that rhea ripley is being booked she is probably their most bankable star outside like smackdown has been abysmal for like a year and like i think putting rhea ripley in the spot that she's in really will help even though like cody and randy and and drew mcintyre and all these other guys like they're they're gonna have their spots but like nobody does what rhea ripley does and i i and she just looks apart she's awesome she's i mean woman best in the world i mean i don't think she need comparing to anybody close how much how many rhea ripley t shirts did you see in vegas ryan oh my gosh it was so you know the the one that neil was getting frustrated about was not seeing any demon finn balor shirts he was back and he was at there was like one finn balor shirt at the superstore and he was like having a meltdown he's like i literally came here to get a demon shirt and there's not a demon shirt and we're getting the demon back so but rhea was everywhere as as expected you kinda knew who you'd see a lot of but but seeing again how can you not wanna read a ripley shirt how can you not want to i mean she's just incredible man and and i was reading online again you know i remember i'm sitting in the stands you guys are watching i guess jade took her time giving the belt to the ref and the ref was kinda rushing her because she knew she was gonna lose it and she wanted to take in her moment but i was reading about that i was like that's just something that you don't see being there you know you're not paying attention to see that so again kudos to jade i think she really made a mark in this match to really say i'm not goldberg here adam gellman i i'm a little bit better and she's only gonna get better she's got the look she's got it all so but we you know we had to get it back on ria and that's where it needs to be at and i think smackdown needs that from her right now you're right for sure i think like ria's cards are hugely expensive they have been forever yep and like jade's cards aren't cheap like like she she does have collectors and like a lot of people really like her look she she looks incredible like for what she is in the ring it doesn't matter because her her mystique is is insane and her what my my my son likes that their aura is insane and we'll get to aura farming here in a minute but like i think that was really i was it was just it was better than i expected it was gonna be i think it was i even like listen i used to be a humongous finn balor fan with the demon i thought that was one of the coolest characters seeing that come back after two years was really cool i loved sort of the way finn continues to ramp it up every time because when he was with edge like did the flares he brought those back but he also had like this you know skeletor staff or whatever that he was you know parading around i remember back at wrestlemania thirty five when he was the demon there and like that was the people's wrestlemania that's where they did everything the fans wanted to see including the demon which was awesome i think this was pretty good performance but i mean like in the grand scheme of night two that match felt like it was just an it was just there and i thought that was unfair to finn but you know that's kind of the the role that he plays right now and eventually you know they're probably gonna give him another shot so maybe he he gets a a run at some point but you know give him the us title belt like i think he would be a great us champion or somebody to go up against trick williams eventually i i don't know we'll have to see but i wanna get on to roman and punk because this is gonna take a while and i think like second we got we got we gotta talk about trick real quick man we gotta talk about that war that wardrobe i don't know if you guys could see it the the wardrobe or what yeah yeah think it's brellis my gosh that thing was the almost the whole ramp the crowd was his the dude his pop was so massive you could just tell everybody no offense to brett your boy everybody's over your boy he just he needs to go full heel right now but i gotta say trick way is man i i'm eat my words when i gave him a three out of five rating he is a five out of five he is awesome but again that that gear right there that outfit we were just like in awe watching they're like where is it gonna stop where is it going why is it and then they had a don't know what you guys didn't see is they had like thirty people come down the ramp after picking up the carry it back that's right it was great so oh i just had to get lee's trick in real quick yeah i forgot i didn't put it on here because we have so much to talk about but he looked like a cvs receipt with that thing it was awesome and like it was great and like i love trick williams he's gonna be a star he's awesome i i i like we have so much to talk about here i know so i wanna like great like great that he's the us champ let's for for right now let's let's put a a pin in that roman and punk i i i don't really have many words other than what's already been said by literally everybody the entrances were like another level and like going back to the original tribal chief music like the the piano player the drums like he he's just my my son is watching this with me my fifteen year old and he's like oh my god like that guy is awesome and like he he looks like and i was like the second they played that music the way that and i was like okay so roman's winning but then they bring punk out and they give him like this insane like sort of recall recollection of his career they played misery a cantare like i mean it was like so good i had to go dust off my afi cds and start listening to that because that song is awesome but like you know all of that stuff like punk looked like he deserved to be there and that was before the match even started i this was one of my favorite wrestlemania main events ever it was everything i want in a wrestling match you have the spectacle the video packages the entrances and both guys delivered in the biggest way imaginable i i gotta give it up to centimeters punk in just this run-in wwe it's been phenomenal like i think about my favorite matches since punk has been back and punk is in a lot of those matches the drew hell in a cell this one it man punk took a beating and i i i i gotta give him a ton of credit but you must acknowledge the tribal chief if it is not apparent that this is not the era of roman reigns then i don't know what you're looking at eleven wrestlemania main events this he's won seven this what'd you say he's seven of them he's won seven of them yeah won seven of it this is my favorite match of all of them and it's just incredible and what's wild about it from a wrestling card perspective is when you have someone this dominant this captivating in any other sport it it just feels like their card you you look at like lebron curry brady their cards are always head and shoulders above everyone else but wrestling cards are so weird and i'm i'm not saying roman's cards are inexpensive because they certainly aren't but that gap between roman reigns and the next person or the next few people it's just not as wide as it should be this is insanely undervalued yeah this is what this is the most showy ohtani of wwe let's just be honest there it is there it is there it is yes yeah so i mean he's not here to judge any showy match it was amazing i actually am excited to watch this match i'm gonna catch up on the recap that is from everything that i heard about it obviously i'm there watching it but you don't get the same by you know it's two different fields you know you've been to wrestlemania before so but man the aura of roman and the the pawn i mean i gotta tip my cat i'm not a big punk fan but you know what for him to finally get his true main event match he kicked ass it was an incredible all around match they both beat the living crap out of each other they gave it all they had the crowd was so into it there was you could just tell nobody i don't think anybody i mean obviously i wanted roman when i think most people were there wanting but you could tell the crowd was just like this is what wrestling's about we could care the way that match went if puck wouldn't have won i wouldn't have been mad i would have been like you know what he deserved that he deserved to win the crowd was into both wrestlers all the way around unbelievable i'm hearing that a lot of people are saying one of the greatest main event matches arguably in history so i'm excited to be a spectator watching it on tv for the first time just hearing the commentators to get the camera angles so i didn't get that part of it but being there i'm glad so if people end up saying this is it this is one of the greatest and we watched brock lesnar retire i can go say well i didn't get to see randy orton win but i got to see these matches i got to see this match that was my first mania what a first mania to be at i should have just flown in for night two and saved me money you know it would have been a lot more better but but honestly guys like it it it was incredible it was the you were you were locked in at that point you know other matches people come and go everybody and their mother was glued to this match this was the wrestlemania match that everybody wanted to see and it was obvious yeah i think i was talking with jameson who's obviously a huge roman reigns collector i love roman reigns i was the biggest big dog hater that there is and he he is now probably my second favorite wrestler i remember wrestlemania right and liv morgan and i remember back to wrestlemania forty i feel like that moment was bigger like cody dethroning roman was a bigger moment but it was an overbooked like fun mess mhmm like it wasn't a good match this the moment itself overshadowed the match correct this was the best wrestled main event because austin and brett was not a main event like the the tlc was not a main event like a lot of the matches that people call back to steamboat and savage not a main event this is probably the best main event if not for wrestlemania seventeen having that awful ending and like if that was a more positive ending for stone cold steve austin seventeen i think that one's a little bit above this one and i think the taker and and shawn michaels match maybe is is on the same tier level but man this is this is something else and i am a humongous roman reigns fan it was so cool to see him win this and i think it definitely made up for a lot of the follies of of night one so to go back to cards real quick i was so confident roman reigns is gonna get win this that when jameson didn't buy him in the brakes i was buying him into the top screen brakes for the buyback cards and i came back to three autos and a stack of about twenty five hundred dollars worth in buyback cards of roman reigns because i was like i'll buy them in every hobby case i was like jameson if you're not in this one i'm just buying it if i get something big you'll get it so i was i want one of those autographs too i i i hit one gold and two blue i was in the break with you you you guys with the one and you guys told me i hit it or something so i was pretty excited just to sort of capitalize on some of the card stuff the wrestlemania patches were back again this year they also were wearing these usa two fifty patches i i mean it is what it is i don't really like the fanatics had a partnership with the other sports that are doing this and those were on the boots as well a lot of them were very visible a lot of them were really you know well done but like there's no doubt about it roman reigns if he if they've i didn't see one on him but that doesn't mean he wasn't wearing it under some knee pad or whatever roman reigns obafemi you know the rhea ripley like the people that made a mark obafemi's debut and it's on his shorts you can see it the whole match and lesnar that card yeah lesnar for sure if he was wearing one i didn't see one on him but like you know if if those cards come into royalty next year like that obafemi card that roman reigns card like it like all bets are off like that is an insane card to have and the and i think the the relic looks better than it did last year too so hopefully they'll have like a really elegant sort of black and gold design or whatever that'll be really cool yeah i think i was explaining just as i was watching it to buddy how just cool it is to see these patches and just see cards like not just promos of cards but like these are relics that are gonna be in cards and i just think it's great and i you know we've talked a lot i've talked a lot on other shows on the network just about fanatics go to market strategy what they're doing to build and elevate and grow the space and i know not everyone's gonna agree with every move that they make but a move like this is one that if you're not into it or you're not excited about it i'm not sure what you're doing because i just think it's so cool the placement of cards on the grandest stage of them all is is super cool yeah tops had a really awesome setup at mania world where they were promoting obviously the ones in some of the royalty mock ups from this year but they had this these patches on display or least the rest of mania one was on display to show you what it was gonna look like i i gotta give kudos to tops' little cards that they had inside this room where you could go view all these these cards and stuff like that so it was really good to get an eye on that and to make people more aware that these are legitimately more and they're going to be in cards and that was great job by tops on that guys before i jump i wanted to just throw a data point out at you all and the audience i was trying to look at some data in card ladder just to see wrestling cards and performance from mania last year comparison to mania this year and so i just pulled a report of the week of wrestlemania from the monday night to monday night and everything in between twenty twenty five and twenty twenty six and i just did a filter used two hundred and fifty dollars as a minimum two hundred and fifty dollars or more how many cards sold last year in comparison to this year in twenty twenty five in during mania week there was three hundred and five cards that were sold according to cardladder for two hundred and fifty dollars or more okay in twenty twenty six it's up five to five hundred and fifty so it's quite a bump year over year during a time where people are excited people are buying cards and i just you know there's a lot of different ways to look at data a lot of different ways to analyze growth of the wrestling card market but i mean that's undeniable that you know people are here people are excited they're spending more money than ever in wrestling cards and i just think that's pretty cool thank you that's great data to know and and i i think we're it's growing i think it did help that we're getting a lot more tops products out as well but just like you said it's just their cards are going up we know they're getting new high numbers for each of these people so that's awesome for bringing that to the table we had no idea he was gonna do that guys to to this point like tops really ramps ramped it up this week we'll get into a lot of that here in a minute but like i i really don't see a lot of like indicators telling me that these won't be again some of the most valuable wrestling cards ever created like there's gonna be like there's historic things that happen at wrestlemania and just the punk one the roman one like all of these are gonna be highly desirable just because of what happened at wrestlemania i think i i'm i wanna talk to topps because i wanna see next year if we can get gold patches for people in the main events on saturday and sunday oh wow i think that would be really cool there you go that's a good idea to pitch them and i think yeah hopefully they're listening i think i mean i think they like that they they like to hear from collectors and hear thoughts i mean what know hey pitch an idea maybe it sticks i mean if it does you could say hey they heard it here first i booked the last so right exactly because we're we're definitely i gotta i gotta i'll send them that message but yeah it was really cool to see like you spot the relics we played it all all the all unfortunately i couldn't play that up being where i was sitting at so i i'm i'm a rely on you to to thank you for spotting him because i couldn't see him yeah so just to finish out the the recap because it's been an hour and we've barely gotten through this they did have some awesome call ups on monday night solruka came and wrestled liv morgan had an amazing debut yes well wrestled match you were probably on a flight home so i don't know if you got to see it got the internet and i kept but it was like in and out and i kept trying to catch up watching it where i could to to watch so i got word as we were about to take off that we heard that soluka ethan page and joe henry were making their debuts so so ethan page wore a debut patch so we have a photo of that thanks to brian for sending that over and joe henry is having a concert next week so he will have a debut patch i don't think he's been on it well maybe he has been on a major show because he did a couple of things during christmas time we'll see he might have but there's also rumors around people like jc jane ricky saints i don't know is there any others that you've heard have have a potential besides the the five here i mean i gotta think ricky saints definitely getting called up i think henry so it's funny that obviously the tony d'angelo the the match at hand to liver you got the vibe that those three other guys were gonna get called up by the way ricky sates was i saw him he was on the same suite level as us but and sitting next to us in the suite next to us was this guy named the undertaker both nights and michelle mccool is there booker t came over at one point so it was cool to see everybody so let's point out the soruca here because we know she had a debut one for smackdown yep we're now gonna have a raw debut one so she's going no i don't think so why are we seeing whose debut boots oh is that ethan's that's okay ethan page i just thought okay i think i remember i was like i didn't get to really see it so you're good okay so we're so we're not gonna get a raw one even so she did smackdown that's it they'll leave it at that that's it which i don't even remember what was her debut patch you remember it was did it when she when leading up to the bailey and match that she had at john cena's retirement okay think she okay okay some matches along there it just stinks because like the squandered this how about your first match kinda real match on the main roster liv morgan title match really good match like i got to catch bits and pieces of it so for me i think knowing that match that would have been better to have but i mean again obviously you gotta get the call up when it happens so yeah i think like i'm i'm excited that she i mean she's obvious like she put on a show last night ethan page did and jevon evans had a great match so i mean like it like these guys are gonna be like it's like the the nfl draft is coming up here as well and like it's rare where you don't have like a top pick that comes in and doesn't make an impact right away same with basketball yep so i think like these guys have proven with obafemi and vicair and tiffany stratton and like they they get focused right away and i think soluka especially because the women's division on smackdown is is or on on raw is stacked she's gonna maybe have a little bit of a of a harder time but because of her move set like who cares man she's gonna be awesome when she did that flip for the oblivion and then hit her with the souls that was like no flipping way that was awesome alright let's get into some tops tops news here in the card market they did a a wrestlemania set they released it the week of wrestlemania these cards look awesome i bought a number of them i know you bought a number of them my luck sucks to these adam thanks for getting me to buy more of them hey yeah that's my that's my role in life is make make ryan spend more money yep they're gonna have on card autographs for punk and ria and becky and roman and like all like these are gonna be really highly desirable they'll likely be redemptions but it's something that like these sets were like cheap they were like seventy bucks and like you get a legend sp or a number card in every set so it's like the sena set but not a packaged product it's gonna be more like the lucky hit type stuff yeah so even if they print ten thousand of these that just means that they'll probably print more of the legend sps instead of the the hit cards number one gem yeah so i mean these look awesome i i think they're really cool i've like i said i bought a number of them i'm gonna be if you pull the becky hit me up i want it for sure speaking of which i got some becky's for me for manny got a mail you thank you i appreciate yep i gotcha night one tops now was released on sunday oh my god this becky card is amazing and what about that liv you don't think that liv's amazing either don't you want that as well give me a chance oh to god but i think like becky's never had a tops now autograph like all throughout the the run of tops now she's had a lot of tops now cards she's won a number of titles whatever but she's never had an autograph this is the first autograph she's had this will be live late enough that people won't be able to hop in and buy them which is good for me but like this is a big card for me i i it's like great moment at wrestlemania awesome photo on card autograph it'll be a redemption if you pull one hit me up again i ordered a hundred sixty of them so hopefully i'll get one but like you know it's it's something like you know we have to we we have to appreciate the tops is sort of doing this in real time i think last year was a little lackluster just because i think they were running behind but this year they really ramped it up liv morgan has the auto relic because she was the the main winner if if cody had had not won and randy had won there would have been a second auto relic with with randy unfortunately yep yep but yeah they did paige they did the bellas so you know there'll be a this will be a big print run even though night one wasn't really all that great liv and becky plus the paige's first card in wwe in a while like those will all be big cards yep hundred and sixty hundred and sixty oh my god dude don't even start and sixty don't even start that that's how commit like it's it's how committed i am i'm committed to it you are very committed i hope you hit it so i could save your search and save you a few bucks so yeah for sure after all i've spent on chrome night two i think was far and away a much better night for topps now if you if you're following along with us on patreon you can see the the cards on the deck but wow that obafemi card is so incredible and if i hadn't just bought a hundred and sixty of the becky cards i'd buy at least fifty of these that roman image is bad roman the photo on that roman card is so insane that is awesome ria with eo sky is great i mean like they did a tremendous job with tops now for wrestle mania yeah these these are gonna be very sought out and collected and and again i i mean that oba one's bad but that roman to me just that just says it all in the the yes great imaging it reminds me of the prism card from twenty twenty three yes yes with the two titles like this basic oh so sideways one because you love those sideways cards oh i love sideways cards logofractor you you had a chance to to pick up a few of these yeah like they they this was a really interesting release let me put it that way so they they did one per box per person for the first few days and in the last days when they realized they had a lot more than they wanted to ship back they they let people buy more than one and i think it's sold out pretty fast a hundred dollars you got five packs it's like a mega box but instead of instead of like retail parallels you got logofractor parallels and they look really cool the autographs all had exclusive photos there were a ton of inscriptions i saw some ridiculous cards pulled including you know the charlotte flair with the woo inscription grayson waller saying nice card nerd like that that's it was like these cards are great yeah it was so we went on friday and they were very strict about limiting one per person they were like you said a hundred bucks we did okay i mean we i mean overall for a hundred bucks no brainer great buy rip it we hit like two or three autos we got six neil got one and then i think we had a finbauer auto twenty five which parker gave to neil don't i think we got a couple number to tens i mean but i've been seeing people pull some insane stuff out of these some amazing luck but i heard yeah i heard by sunday sunday they were opening it up letting people get a lot more and then come sunday night my understanding or rumor was is it was almost a free for all and they were like sell sell sell get rid of it we don't care and i heard roaming said some breakers again i'm not speculating i just heard were seen buying twenty cases and bought them out so when we were back on monday i was like excited to go get some and then found out that morning when i woke up that sorry you're not gonna get any and i'm like really like you guys were limiting and all of sudden it was like poof gone luckily we were able we were offered some on our tops direct account so but again my hope was to go back by be able to buy one for adam and my staff and lee said hey do you guys want these at cost to let some people rip that couldn't be there so i was i think a lot of people were disappointed when they heard that on monday and that the fact is like literally you you like you know were so strict about it all weekend then all of sudden you realize you had so much left that you need to just get rid of it so again great job overall the product was loaded arguably one of the best pound for pound rips at a hundred dollars a box in wwe can't history yeah you can't be i mean it is a glorified mega on steroids so again i wish i coulda got my hands on more i woulda ripped it and brought some stuff back but it is what it is again great job gotta give credit where credit's due a lot better i i tell you what didn't go last year but i heard kakashak was obviously they were higher they were very limited and they were a lot you know weren't as accessible to get you just walk right up and you just bought one that's how easy it was yeah that that's exactly what needed to happen they needed it there it was a really well done product the photos in this are better than the photos in hobby in a lot of case the autographs it wasn't as easy to pull an order i think it was about the same like one in four boxes as cactus jack was last yep i mean like you're not gonna be able to get like the full checklist done the same way because it's a it's meant to be a limited product and i'm glad that there's gonna be availability in breakers to be able to get it unfortunate that some people took advantage of those situate that's gonna happen it does i mean again it does yeah so i think like either way like the these cards have been selling for insane money we'll get into some sales of it in a second here we did i'm gonna we're gonna go rapid fire here because we're already in an hour and we haven't even gotten to a lot of this but like stadium club is coming so we got first looks at the cards being signed tops had some awesome videos of the wrestlers signing their one on ones they did trick williams and jacob fatu and rhea ripley and like charles robinson previewed some of his cards julius creed is a normal guy who shares everything on instagram so we get a good preview they are doing stadium club chrome which is just so welcome and and awesome i hope the photos are as good as they are in baseball they look to be really well designed cards that you know we saw them in the digital side with slam last year and people were like why can't these be physical cards well here you go yeah i mean it'd be great and being a stane you know being brown since stane club was made in ninety one one thing we love about this is stane club is great for no borders and you get the full picture like this is joyous creed look at the crowd behind look at the it just it sticks out so great i'm excited for this product i think it's gonna be great like you alluded to all these inscriptions on card beautiful job excited for this one to come out and it should be accessible too like it doesn't feel like yeah it doesn't feel like it's gonna be a six hundred dollar a box product we just saw this week that royalty is going up for for order so it is gonna be on time on five one which is something i was actually hoping for a delay for once but like they're they're coming fast and furious so buy a hundred sixty becky lunch things yeah right so like this will be a nice sort of accessible product it'll be something that i think a lot of people will enjoy especially because the on card autographs and the foil and the chrome and everything so really good on tops there we also got an extended look at tops cosmic chrome and like i we had seen them do this when they were signing regular chrome a lot of the wrestlers were also signing cosmic mhmm so we knew it was coming a while ago we've mentioned it on this podcast a few times but c a punk literally laid out the rainbow on the table just so you could see what the cards look like it's it's cosmic man like that's they they literally just you know did the the the whole transport over they they which is great that's exactly what is needed cannot wait for planetary pursuits in in wrestling that's gonna be the chase it's gonna be awesome i hope they do a ton of them but ryan you've had probably more experience than i have with chrome and cosmic in in in football and basketball i'm sorry baseball and and basketball yes i'm just curious what your experience baseball now i hope that they do at least an autograph in box which baseball you're not guaranteed so i would hope that they learn from kakasheck last year that like hey people don't wanna get an autograph for every three boxes they wanna get one per box so i would think with the accessibility they have with the wrestlers they should be able to deliver at least one auto box and i think that'll help tremendously but cosmic is one that every year it comes out for baseball it literally just shoots to the roof it is a very desirable collectible product i know the guy who created it he's done a great job with it so if you can transition to the baseball cards and like adam alluded to the planetary and everything these are gonna stand out the parallels are gonna be great i just hope we get at least one out of a box which the wrestling collectors will want but overall this product is gonna this product is gonna crush we also saw that topps universe is coming back for another year twenty twenty six was being signed for some wrestlers at the show bayley previewed hers listen if you like universe i think this is pretty similar in the way that they're sort of presenting it although they did switch the auto relics to horizontal which mhmm not my favorite but it like i thought the title marks last year for for they it says it's last year's product but yes a couple of months ago yes like i thought those were some of the better design cards that that tops has done so i i'm curious to see how this is gonna look it's not labeled event used on the card so i'm kind of curious about that but you know i think we're we're seeing some of the designs on card auto relics same as it was last year very popular so hopefully we get hopefully we get a a good look at it as they sign it over the next few weeks at the probably the upcoming shows yeah i think with the horizontal idea concept was to maybe do more inscriptions with it i mean we know we got some of them but maybe it's more of an encouragement to them to do more maybe i don't know but i mean they they they are offering more space for that which yes you can see that in the if you're following on patreon for sure yep and so we do have official buybacks now liv morgan and roman reigns ryan was alluding to it before usually it's about twenty bucks for a base card nonnumbered refractory gets you forty bucks under over a hundred numbered over a hundred is a hundred dollars and then under a hundred is two hundred dollars i believe if it's consistent i was trying to locate the actual like post to get it but somebody had put it up and i yeah tops actually just it's if you're listening right now this is tuesday they just sent this out like an hour ago we kinda had to go find some stuff so i think they were a little delayed on their end to get it out but the one interesting thing is is that normally logofractor does not count towards it however this logofractor was different you only get like two a pack i think so they are including logo fractures in the buyback nice okay that was good to see i was looking at to make sure the one thing that was interesting is that you've been seeing the stamp buybacks of the tiffany and the jay uso which are not included i think people thought they would be because they do something like that with baseball with like ohtani and stuff like that but so i think some people are kinda disappointed in that front but if you were spot on buying into breaks and getting your liv and romans or you've ripped any definitely go to your local hobby shop we're a participating shop as well so if you listen here and you just to give the stats this brian bought the one of one randy orton super fractor autograph the blue brand one that had that insane inscription on it youngest world champ fourteen the viper i mean this is the pinnacle card of randy orton's run it's absolutely nuts congratulations for getting it we called it out on the podcast when it was first previewed there was a ton of help from the community to get it into your hands because you're recognized as the guy it helps and you know it was pulled by an australian collector by filth bomb and they they helped out a lot too so i think that was good from them but you have the floor man like what's the what's what's the feeling here well the feeling is it's sitting right here i haven't opened the box i woke up on was it saturday it was i got pulled friday night i woke up to just my phone red like all these messages instagram facebook text i wanna first off say thank you to the wrestling card community the amount of people that reach out to me they were amazing to look out for me adam was one of them i i mean i i don't wanna sit here and drop all these names but it was minimum of forty people overall reaching out so thank you i think like because i i was able to get one similar for becky a couple of weeks ago or months ago with cactus jack in the inscriptions like this is special man like these inscriptions feel special and i think this particular one with just the ridiculous sort of inscription that he put was just makes it even cooler so let's let's see it ryan for those on patreon this is the world debut of it in hand it is man it is beautiful i'm excited i i had a few other people trying to get it and i at the end of the day i think just the the way tim and i had talked to one another i i think he really knew wanted it to go to me and i can't think of enough for that and again i i paid up he said the same thing to me too yeah because he said you were just you were just as genuine in in your sort of working excited it is i i guess now the cornerstone of my orton collection and and i've got some other for now for now for now we i i know something else big is coming adam knows it's coming i i can't talk about it right now but i'll be excited to talk about it when said product releases and the experience i had with this said orton coming but for now this this is record setting and i have some other incredible inscriptions that were significantly less than this one but i knew what this one demanded this was arguably in my opinion i could be wrong and i could be biased here outside of the debut patches one of the most sought out after super factor i guess cards in the product i i mean what what are your thoughts adam being not an orton fan like me what what do you think when you see this card it stands out and it's like because i think the design is better than last year by a million miles like i think topps had a complete upgrade across the entire product we talked about that last week on the podcast like seeing the extra space they provided him to to do this type of inscription enabled this to happen so kudos again to tops we we glaze a lot of this for as my son would say like stop glazing this but like let's be fair like these cards look so much more high high end they look premium they're elegant in their presentation they stand out on a shelf like that's what you want like you can put that in your office somebody comes in for a meeting everything's gonna stand out like a sore thumb and oh this thing ain't this thing ain't seen the daylight it's sitting in dark spot i don't i know what you're but no just well just to have both these next to one another is awesome that was i mean this was i had a you know again thank you to the the owner of this one he was great to deal with on the garagevale kids so i don't wanna just skip over that but he was awesome to deal with it got pulled by it was ohio card exchange their shop crazy box also had a i think john cena auto in it and something else create like an under ticket case set yeah what a what a box so yeah again excited it's here i i don't wanna take too much more time on it but i wanted this has been sitting on my desk since it came in about ten o'clock so adam would rip his ten seconds before it showed up i i'm able to be patient so thank you for giving me the moment for for giving us that moment here yeah and and again thank you to the owner thank you to the wrestling card community it is home and i don't know when i'm gonna post it it's gonna be some point this week and i wanna thank everybody again for for being so awesome and as if that wasn't enough you also had an a legendary run on the bloods packs that they did for wrestlemania you actually pulled the obafemi jemin ten red refractor i pulled it right after the match because i stopped god i started doing it but then when that match came on i was like i'm taking a break and then i after the match after everything cleared out said gonna go and i literally just like neil he wasn't right there so we were recording as i was opening i mean i had some you know again i opened quite a bit it wasn't just like i opened one or two i mean when i did frost saturday night i i actually had a really good run there i had two goals back to back but this one in the obafemi oh nice thank you for the little gift there was awesome perfect timing of course i had that one shipped into me i'll have it this week so thank you bless bless online i love it i adam and i both rip a lot on there they do a great job dale and the team there they do a phenomenal job building these packs one of these days we'll really talk more about it i think when we wanna schedule a podcast talking yeah hopefully i i think we're we're working we give away at the party so we'll get there in a minute but yeah i i like i was ripping these packs and i ryan's like texting me in real time as he's got these epic pulls and all i could all i could be was like yeah congrats happy for you congrats man you sucking it you know what though i feel the same way looking at that gift thinking about you with becky winning and randy losing so yeah that's what i i i mean my i definitely am gonna come out a winner you did so so dominic mysterio just some quick sales here the this is the logo fractor one zero one super fractor autograph it was a dirty dominic mysterio inscription i'd sold for six thousand dollars best offer on ebay right as mania was starting up and what a card here great photo with the eddie eddie guerrero sort of shimmy that he does before the frog splash awesome awesome card six thousand dollars there logo fracture man had some big sales i'll get to another one here but i think dominic is quickly becoming a highly collectible superstar yeah i think it's only a matter of time before he is he will be a major champ one day and i mean when you're when you're that hated champion yes yeah he will and you're that hated he's so young too i mean he's got such a future he's been doing it for a long time he's still young so i again i think it's good that the recognition's finally being seen on him and he man just the crowd the aura he just knows how to get the crowd in it against him he knows how to sell it just committed to he is so committed i love it obafemi's horizontal but still epic super factor one zero one base card from twenty twenty six tops chrome sold i wanna say like right before night one but it was fifty five hundred north of seven pulled it and like as soon as the guy had it in hand he put it up i think too low i think this is probably a seven thousand eight thousand dollar card if he had waited until wrestlemania was over oh but huge sale overall like awesome looking card nothing put upside for obafemi at this point i i failed to see how the night two main event of summerslam is not obafemi versus roman reigns we'll see what happens that'll be in minneapolis i hope to be there but that would be amazing if they if he wins wins king of the ring which i think is a pretty heavy favorite for that if he doesn't win money in the bank and then by the time we get to summerslam him and roman may be on a collision course it's it seems to be going that way one of the logo fracture debut autographs was kendall gray if you're not familiar with who kendall gray is she is an evolved superstar that has been debuted on nxt mhmm so there's a developmental for developmental now with so many people coming through the nil and all the talent they have kendall gray has really stood out among a lot of the rookies she had rookies last year in finest and so this is not her rc badge card but it's her first autograph they they put them in logofractor not in chrome hobby so this is the only place you can get them my friend don pulled this at wwe world listed it right away and sold thirteen hundred dollars for a base autograph of kendall gray out of logofractor i've seen oranges and reds pulled i have not seen the superfractor yet but oh my god if there is an inscription there everybody look out yeah her her cards are gonna bring they're they obviously already do bring big money she doesn't a whole lot but rightfully so i got to watch her at santa deliver with jc jane lowe the vice match and this girl is very special so i could see why people are paying the money they are right now just a couple other big ones to call out the red refractor dual autograph of rock and stone cold sold on fanatics nine thousand dollars i know the guy reached out to me about this and and what a card there is an inscription version of the out of ten that we saw that hasn't surfaced yet correct but that's probably a twenty thousand dollar card based on the sale easily and and like the dual autographs from this year's chrome are going for an insane amount of money as well somebody pulled the becky lynch seth rollins of red and i mean it's a redemption but you know i got the black thankfully i don't have to like pony up as much but like because i've already redeemed that as i mentioned last week but these cards are are going crazy yeah we actually had one of the the black to ten get pulled last year by shermanek from my shop i was actually in san francisco with my wife going to meet barry bonds of the transcendent and he facetimed me and and showed me the redemption well i am lucky enough to own that car now we were hoping the inscription would have been on there but i acquired that one i graded it i think it's a psa eight or something like that but it is in my collection so seeing this makes me feel better because i bought it like on the peak and they went down a little but then you could see them shooting right back up because who knows when we're gonna get in our dual of these two yep for sure we have crossed the four thousand dollar on psa ten kabooms so the hulk hogan sold on alt for forty one nineteen which is a a ridiculous price and i like these have been almost like every week it's another ten percent another ten percent we finally crossed the four thousand dollar mark there was one rock that sold at fifty five hundred dollars like the week of release before people really had an idea yep but ever since then they've been creeping and creeping and creeping with the documentary coming out which i'm not even gonna get into right now like these are only gonna get more and more expensive the there's only thirty one pop ten there's for the psa tens the pop report is only at thirty one so there's very few of these and a lot of people are collecting the set a lot of people want them for high end you know kaboom collectors across all sports but this is just a ridiculous i i just love the fact that you've spent a lot of time talking about liv morgan and now this hulk hogan card i know you just absolutely love talking about this yep all my favorite people alright i wanna finish this out with giving you the floor a little bit on wrestlemania before we get there the community showed up and showed out at wrestlemania i i know alex bay breaker mayfield was there yep you know baby face breaks was everywhere nature loves you was everywhere i mean i saw stephanie making content like mhmm i i'm i'm leaving out a ton of people so i apologize but like there were so many community members there all of them did such a great job covering this for the wrestling card community thank you for everybody who couldn't be there like myself i'm hoping we can be there in the future and do some more content as part of this podcast but you know like great job by the community covering everything thank you specifically to brian thc sports cards was on the podcast last week got me all the stuff that i needed for for becky lynch signed including like a a mini title with a roulette wheel that looks really cool and then the wrestlemania photo thank you for getting me the hat that was there that was awesome that was neil he got it for you neil too yes i i forgot sorry neil you deserve the the kudos more for waiting in line and doing all this stuff as well but thank you guys both of you for for getting that for me for all the cards and everything as well i mean just what a week man what a week but i wanted to just for the title match topic you you brought your whole family like the the whole banister crew got to experience wrestlemania sounded like it was an incredible time parker dressed up as the fiend was like the highlight of the weekend seeing him get to meet bo dallas and and the wyatt six was awesome curious to see like alright we're we've got this is your floor like talk about the experience with your family and what it meant to you and everything well first off we survived that was one thing we needed to neil went with us as well so we had a buddy system neil got the easiest one which is parker and i was we my wife and i would bounce off blake or savannah so when we did stuff i mean there's you know there's just people everywhere i mean especially when you're walking across the bridge to and from the allegiant stadium i i i had to carry my son on my shoulders both days it's a like almost a mile walk give or take i mean like you know you're walking to see people so you had to keep an eye on the kids but man it was awesome you know that whenever we met howdy and and the clip fleet why it's six was on monday a moment my son again i think all three of my kids but you know parker really generally he he this is a big moment for him he never got to meet bray wyatt kevin years ago road show was awesome enough to get a video of bray saying hey hey parker thanks for being a fan you know sent that i saw that saved that's the closest parker ever got to him but howdy was great nikki cross was incredible she got out on hands and knees hugged every one of my kids was just like so awesome i was able to show her the picture of our halloween y at six we did in the shop and she's like i remember that i love that that's a great picture and man this is what it's about the wwe nobody does like wwe and i'm talking about wwe world right now the smiles on the wrestlers' faces to everybody joe gacy had like the most massive smile meeting my kids and obviously if you've seen the video my daughter almost takes the backdrop out with my son and gacy and and and have bo dollars are grabbing both of them and they're smiling laughing and you know it's just a moment that i'm so glad as a father to give that to my family because let's be honest going to mania in in twenty twenty six it's not ideal financially i the fact that it's in vegas we only did the strip one day and instantly was because my wife's like let's just cough a little bit and i was reminded instantly why i don't really go to vegas and why i don't want my kids exposed get there but once you're there you're there but you're exposed to a lot of things i don't want them to see as a parent but we stayed at mandalay bay which was connected and so it was nice to kinda feel like you weren't really in vegas besides the casinos that makes sense yes so but if you've been there that makes sense yes it makes sense so we were able to kinda stay confined for the most part except the one day but overall it was an amazing time memories for life i tried to do as much coverage in my instagram story i had one of my customers reach out to me today and said by the way thank you for posting all the stuff you did it was so fun following that because i'm not trying to be some major content guy trying to post all this i just wanna share my experience plus i wanna record it on my phone to have that for my memories you know my wife went on facebook last night she couldn't sleep in bed at midnight we got home late and she was posting everything and she had like six pictures post yeah and and again there's more that obviously that i got so watching parker watch mania so part we're sitting in our cts in front of me and he is standing up so many times jumping up and down i don't think i saw him go to the bathroom like once during a match he he was into it and my other ones watched it as well so just just the memory i have it was awesome to be there i'm grateful that i'm in a position to where i could do that and take you know neil got to go as well which he's been a big wrestling fan his entire life and it was his first mania it was all our first mania experience so but the best part is where you started at was the amazing people that were there in the hobby that i got to run into i got to talk to a breaker mayfield alex actually it was random we're sitting in line at mandalay bay and i look back and he has a shirt on i've never seen what he looked like in person i go alex he goes ryan i was like yeah and we start talking i bought him a stick of gum he was going to about to go break with card vault and he actually messaged me later was like by the way thanks for the gum saw him again the next morning talked about the the orton alex army a t c twenty two is a great friend of ours saw him multiple times took stephanie and eddie actually to dinner sunday night after mania they went to dinner with us got to see brian several times he pulled a couple nice ortons that i gotta finalize the deal on so again the community itself was great to see everybody i'm sure i'm forgetting a lot of names here but again yeah it's it's hard to keep it's it's like there there was so much content and like i i like like even for like bless and carvault and all the people that were in vegas with their shops and like i i like everybody did awesome stuff on mania for breaks and stuff like that there was a bunch of people ripping like crazy stuff it's just cool like this was like people that you've never expected like i know philip baum had a bunch of people there and like every breaker had somebody there who was a wrestling fan i know brando was there from card shop live doing content like meeting people like you can tell the breakers were were there and having a good time because they enjoy the product as well and like you know then you you marry that with all the people ripping product and and posting that online and sharing it with steve and i and like steve did a tremendous job really covering a lot of this alongside me and so like we were we were there from like it was sunup to sundown every day because there was something so something going on every every minute and like even though i wasn't there because like there are times when i haven't gone to the national convention and you feel the same way it's like you you there's always something going on and you get to live vicariously through a lot of the posts that you and neil and everybody were doing like you guys like i i've i loved sort of like getting those updates and like because vegas is so well connected and stuff there's wi fi everywhere so like you can like you can tape and upload really quickly and like you and like i've been in the spots where you meet wwe superstars and i heard about all the problems at the hotel and everything like that with all the lack of security but like when when you when they're meant to be there like the signings and the photo ops they have right there that you guys got to go to like excuse me like those are the best experiences oh and for anything the meeting that was all free by the way for howdy over the that was all free it was free photo ops they had free autographs at one point two but we were in line actually to we're in this long line and they had they had it was eric rowan and dexter lumis in it and it was also grace moore by the time we got to the front they were done because they were bringing out nikki and and gacy and and howdy but dexter walked by saw parker and like fist bumped him and i got to talk to him briefly i was like hey i know you gotta go just wanna say we've talked to you on instagram you've responded to the one on ones he owns at you guys also here's a halloween and he's like dude thanks man it's nice meeting you guys but he was you know going he was done but they're the best that that was free i mean that was free that's why we went back to mania world on monday was it for like if logan factor was there great but i paid more money to go back because the opportunity that parker could have and my kids meeting them and that was awesome because they also met b fab as well she was in that line she was super sweet to him so again it just overall and the crazy thing what people don't see is the amount of wrestlers around about i got to talk to tomaso ciampa for fifteen minutes at cardball because brandon and him are good buddies we finally got to meet i got to go back i saw d'lo brown we briefly spoke he wanted to talk to me after he got off air but i was i had to get back let's see here julia was in my line at my airport to to fly back under a ticket sitting next to oh by by the way we had will osprey was sitting behind us at dinner and i had a great conversation with him briefly and he was super cool and i was like look i'm gonna let you be your family we just wanna say you're a great rest or thank you and he was started talking to us he actually tapped me on the shoulder as he was leaving and said hey it was nice to me it's a pleasure thank you for the kind words and shook everybody's hand these experiences you get you don't get that anywhere else unless you're at something like this i never once asked any of these wrestlers for an autograph i never once the only people i got the pictures with were the ones you that you posted you know the ones that we were getting free out of photo ops i just want that memory that's all i want that's all i ever want i i can get your autograph card anytime i don't need a picture with you i need it up here and knowing that we had a great interaction i will be a fan of you forever that's how i look at it yeah i remember like just i'll close it out by saying like every time i've had an experience with a wrestler it's been a million positive everything it was plus one thousand you name it i remember i was on a business trip coming back from kansas city and monday night raw was in the city that i was in and i was standing in the airport it was five am because you when you're flying business like wanna get back to your family as quickly as possible correct so i'm like sitting in the terminal i'm having coffee at starbucks and all of a sudden like here comes aj styles here comes daniel bryan here comes and i'm like oh my god this is awesome and of course like becky walks through charlotte walks through i had conversations with all of them i didn't have anything for them to sign i just we took a a selfie on my cell phone at the at the it was so much fun like you know they knew like it would there was no one there like it was just me in the terminal because it was so early in the morning to fly back and like it was one of the best experiences i've had even though i didn't get any autographs it was just cool to have a conversation with samoa joe it was cool like it was smackdown not ross sorry and it was just like all of the all of those guys were amazing and like they didn't have to be it was really early in the morning and it was the day after they just wrestled and heading home to go to the royal rumble and like it was it was so cool but you know your experience like just seeing what you were able to do reminded me of that because it it's a lot of the same stuff where like you're gonna see them out and about some of the fans are awful some of the fans like really give a bad name to really what people wanna be there for which is to shake their hand and say like hey we're a fan type of thing instead of like hey let me get a video and an autograph and sign my eight funkos you know like all that other stuff but like i think you you obviously had one of those experiences we all hope to have and you know i've had it and a number of us have had it and like you know what an ex what what a a a week for you guys and you come home and you've got like these insane cards to come home to as well oh my gosh so i mean like i i can't think of a better somebody that had a better week a better wrestlemania week than you did even though randy didn't win so i i think that was at least you could take solace in that not the outcome obviously i wanted or expected but at the end of the day it wasn't you know it was more about making the memories of my family and we were there literally we didn't fly we got in super late on friday morning it was like we fought thursday night by the time we got there it was like three thirty in the morning our time because of delays and ryan screwed up and booked the the wrong flight there i i booked friday and not thursday i forgot about that i messed up there so it cost me a little bit to change it but it also cost me delays at the airport it was delayed both ways but so we were there basically all day friday and that was a go go mania world went to carval did stuff we were we were supposed to go to headquarters my family was cooked we didn't get much sleep and i was like i wanted to go but i was like i'm not gonna push them this is hard on my wife and kids and then saturday but the thing is when you're out there you mania starts so early because it's two hours behind and we had access to our suite so it was like well we're just gonna eat there so we would get there an hour before it started so you're there at like two o'clock in the afternoon and you're leaving by like seven or whatever so so we didn't get a lot to do monday or tuesday i'm sorry saturday or sunday and then we flew out yesterday but we went to mania world and we got there at nine thirty and we were leaving there by twelve twenty because we had to get to our hotel and checked out by one so it was it was go go go bang bang bang in those few it is but it was worth everything again experience of a lifetime happy to do it don't know if i'll do it again or when i'll do it again maybe if it's in more of like a minnesota or indianapolis i'd be more prone but i've done vegas i i've done it and i'm excited to say i went to wrestlemania forty two yeah i mean it's just it's one of those experiences you have to have and if you're if you're like both of us lucky enough to have done it that's that's what it is so i wanna just do really quick before we we wrap this up we'll we'll end with the takeover stuff again we we have gotten some great stuff to announce we're gonna be doing some epic giveaways as part of the event we're gonna bring on some awesome sponsors to to help us sort of tell the story for the community and and do everything that we're hoping about it in cards and that and the other thing like it's always fun to just sit down and hash it out with brett and you and everybody this is what you need and like if you don't like if you don't have that group of friends and you're collecting on an island go find those people who are your kindred spirits and can match your excitement level because it it makes a difference in your collecting and i really think that this is a good opportunity for everybody to sort of hear us you know at the conversations we would be having at ryan's shop we're now recording those and putting it on for you because i think it helps to tell the story and yeah we we are very positive like the this week had some crazy stuff happen and some of it wasn't great some of it but we wanna remain positive and we wanna be a good influence here because i think it's it's something that you can choose to be this type of an approach where you wanna look at it from a positive perspective and you wanna you know highlight the things that really went well and provide the feedback when it's necessary and i think we've done that and we will continue to do that for the next year but you know like if you're like that's what we wanted us to do and this party that we're we're hosting is really just sort of a manifestation of that passion and that for that collecting so hopefully you guys have enjoyed the last sixteen weeks i can't believe we're already through wrestlemania like this is it's nuts it's gone so fast and i think by the time we're at this time next year i think we'll say the exact same thing
